Nokia Nseries :: Can't Get My Quick Office And PDF
Aug 23, 2011The installation log shows both these programs installed on 18/08/11 when I upgraded to Symbian Anna but their icons don't appear in my apps.ACTION TAKE SO FAR
1) tried reinstalled firmware through Ovi suite - failed to have programs
2) advanced date on phone to 22/10/11 and using software update on phone... updates appeared for Symbian Anna 1/2 and 2/2 and installation appeared to take place. However, no icon for Quickoffice or PDF.
3) If I go to settings > application manager > installed apps then Adobe Reader LE version 10.00(245) is listed as being on C: phonememory and Quickoffice 6.04(460) on C: phonememory

Oct 24, 2011I know the original Anna updates caused Quickoffice and PDF viewer to disappear but the following updates would install them. I just finished applying all the Anna updates and am still missing Quickoffice and PDF viewer. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to get them back?Not sure if this matters but I had the paid version of Quickoffice. Since I installed that a while ago I am thinking the Quickoffice in the Anna update is a newer version.

Jan 30, 2010I'm unable to update my quickoffice. At first check the version read something below version 6. But when attempting to update catalogue it says cataloguye update fails and now my quick office version reads UNKNOWN VERSION.And still unable to update my ctalogue which is needed to update the quick office to version 6.Can anyone help me on this?And do E72 users need to download anything to enjoy free maps? Driving navigation is still not free though in city pedestrian navaigation seems to be free. What's actually free with OVI maps and what's not?

Jan 23, 2012When I click from either the "Notification" screen, or the Text Message List, I am directed to the wrong text messaging thread. This doesn't happen every time, it happens every day, and multiple times, however. Usually, when I reboot the phone, the problem is gone...momentarily.
It seems to happen with random messages. I use Universal Inbox and currently see message from text, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and my AT&T mail.
If I use the stock Text Messaging app, I can open the list of messages and see whatever I can from the preview there, but when I click to open the thread, it will open a totally random message thread. Weird. I'm not that into text messaging, but it does annoy me when I need to use it and I can't open individual messages because the wrong ones are appearing.
I don't know if this is a device problem, a software/app problem, an AT&T messaging problem or what. I'm somewhat ignorant about smartphones and have only had this Atrix 2 for about three months.

The cursor selector goes to the end of the visible part of the text box but the remaining text does not scroll to the right for editing purposes. Before when the magnifying glass was used, the text would scroll.

Jun 23, 2011I currently have an Apple Keyboard and Magic Mouse hooked up to my Playbook. They work very well, the implementation is incredible. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to scroll with the the mouse. It really limits the PB since if I hook it up to my television I cannot scroll unless I have the PB near me. Has anyone gotten this to work or is this something we are hoping to get in a future update? Aslo, is there a way to select text and bring up the copy/paste menu without having to use the touch screen? I can select text by holding shift / arrow keys on the keyboard but am unable to perform any actions without having to use the touchscreen.

Dec 12, 2010i just bought myself the blackberry-branded mini keyboard for the playbook. i know i could've gone with many aftermarket ones, but i didn't want the hassle of partial incompatibility. now this keyboard has a touchpad included too. i'm starting to get the gist of how to use one finger for left-click and two fingers for right-click, etc. but what i can't seem to get is how to text using the mini keyboard's touchpad. i've looked at several Internet videos, but i see it being used in a few of those videos but no idea how they do it. i suppose i could just bring my fingers upto the screen itself and just do it that way, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having a keyboard/pad.

May 15, 2012have just got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and created my first document on Polaris office, saving it as a .doc file. But when copying it to my computer and trying to open it, up flashes a Microsoft Office File Validation security alert, saying that a problem has been detected in trying to open the file and that opening it is probably dangerous and may allow a malicious user to take over my computer.I'm aware that there are issues with MOFV over reading some file formats -- has anyone come across this? Is it that MOFV can't read Polaris files, or is there the possibility of something sinister going on? I've run two different antivirus programme scans (installed on two different computers) on this file, which haven't flagged anything.

Dec 12, 2011I have my Atrix 4g with AT&T. I'm having a problem with text messaging. I'm not for certain (hadn't noticed), but I think my phone was not originally doing this and it started about a week after I got it.What happens is that all images I receive in MMS text messages, appear to be the same image. Say I received a picture of a dog from one contact. All future images received, from all contacts, appear as the exact same picture of the dog. However, if I hold my finger down on the image and select "view picture", the picture will display correctly. If I save it to my gallery, etc, it appears correctly. But it continues to display incorrectly in the text messaging conversation itself.I tried rebooting my phone, and all this did was update the "universal" image to the most recent image I received. All images were still displaying the same thing. I've also tried Googling this problem and haven't found anything about it so far.

Aug 6, 2011I am trying to fing out what happened to the ability to select multiple contact to send or forward a text message or email by ticking the "head" icon, which brings up your phone contacts list and then checking off the contacts you want to send to. All I can see is you have to select them one at a time using auto complete in the "to" field. Is there a way to select them like we used to? If not, then when can I expect Moto to send an update that fixes this? This was an option on all previous Adroid releases, so why is not there now? I know I can create groups, but that is just ignorant, I dont send to the same people every time, so groups are a waste of time.
