Messaging App(By Default app) showing an error while sending a message after salecting contact from my contact book. Error is " Message has no valid recipient".
View 10 Repliesi am reltively new with the x 10 Mine is just 2 months old And recently updated it to 2.1 But mediascape doesnt still have a option of selecting multiple files over bluetooth.... and i am still adding contacts to the senders list for an sms individually throught he addrecipients or edit recipients option...isnt there an option to mark recievers at one go as in normal phones..? this gives a big headache while sending sms to many people..i am currently using handscent sms but wanted to know if sony did provide a bug fix for th same,
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 800 and have discovered a bug where the recipient name is wrong if contacts have very similar phone numbers. Example:
I have two contacts with the following phone numbers
Contact 1. - 0703 246 802
Contact 2. - 0705 246 802
Note that the only thing differing the contacts is 0703 from 0705.
Regardless of whom of these two I send a text message they always show as being sent to Contact 1. This includes any History as well, they are all grouped into Contact 1 regardless of to which phone number I send the text message to. This is very annoying and it makes it impossible to see who actually had the message sent to when looking back at the history. I have tried moving the numbers around to different contact categories, changing contact name and so on, but it has made no difference to the behavior.
When I attempt to send an iMessage to my husbands phone, it sends and receives as a text message. When he responds, it comes in as an iMessage in a new message. How do i correct?

My wife has a Droid X which has recently started acting up in the last few weeks. Using the stock Text Messaging app, when she responds to a text message, the receipent name and number is not the person who sent it, but someone else (usually someone she texted with recently). Sending it, it goes to the wrong person. Turning off/on the phone only helps for a short time, as it happens rather quickly again. I have done a Factory Reset on the phone twice and still it happens. I have even gone as far as installing Handcent and she still has the issue, but many times it will show the correct receipent name, but goes to someone else.
The phone is running:
System Version: 4.5.602.MB810
When I search for someone with a home, work and mobile number I'm only ever going to text the mobile (or iPhone) numbers. Anyone know of a way to filter it so that only they show up? I'm assuming it would be possible to tweak that on a jailbroken phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting a contact to send a message to, the drop down list auto fills with some of my contacts which start with the letters I am keying in, but it does not auto fill with all the relevant contacts, missing out most of the contacts which start with the letter or name I am keying in? E.g if I was sending to a contact called "Paul" Keying in "P" would only bring up a few of the contacts I have starting with "Paul" but no all of them Even if I continue to key in the full name the auto fill does not seem to find the exact same name which is in my contacts Is there any way to turn off this auto fill so you can manually select the contacts I wish to sent the message to?

I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I am having an Empty message (not Blank Message). It takes up the space of a text message but the recipient name or the message is not shown in inbox. When I tried to Open the message it said 'Unsupported message type'. This message is not even getting deleted saying 'Error occurred. Deletion not completed'. I got this problem already Twice. What happened further is, After sometimes more of such msgs starts to appear, and then suddenly all saved messages will get deleted.
Then all the applications (including basic applications like calculator) will get deleted. I gave to Nokia service centre. They just said it could be virus so they got my mobile, gave back (installing the software again I guess, I don't think they Cleaned Virus as told by them) and told me to use memory card after scanning. I scanned the card with the top antivirus - with up to date virus database. So I am very much sure there is no virus in my Memory card.
I have App error message 523 showing on my BB Curve. I have downloaded the BB Desktop software, connected my phone which is recognised by the software but I am just getting 'connecting' continuously.

Today I received a rather strange spam text message (something about PPI and claiming money) that completely took over my phone I say text message because I received that alert just as this thing appeared on my screen.I could not get out of this thing; not even the home button worked! The only way it would allow me to exit the message was for me to click a large green button named "Dismiss"; no other buttons were presented. Not being stupid, I never clicked this button and turned off my iPhone, which got rid of the message.

I know in email you can change "Sent from my iPhone" but I see no way to do this with a message. I have an iPhone 4s.

some still have names next to them Deleting and re-adding doesnt seem to work and neither does changing the country code

How do you resend them? Sometimes in conversations, a message shows a red "X" which I assume indicates it wasn't sent - I can't figure out how to resend the same message again, or check the status why it didn't send.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have a NE63 - 3 phone and is currently loving it however two days ago i started getting a sending failed error message everytime I attempt to send text messages and when I click on the details it would say not enough memory please close other applications.I have enough load credits to perform such activity,and i do not have any other applications running in the background,plus the phone memory is nowhere near full capacity.I have already checked the message center number and I currently have the correct settings,I have already peformed a reset but to no avail.I am able to receive text messages,able to make and receive calls,wi - fi access is okay,the only thing I cant do is send text messages.I know there are other e63 users out there who might have experienced the same thing.
