Nokia :: Possible To Install PDF Viewer / Quick Office?
Apr 7, 2010
I am using Nokia 5233 and recently i tried to install Adobe reader and quick office. But i got message like "application not supported".Kindly advice me whether is it possible to install adobe and quick office in 5233 or not.
The installation log shows both these programs installed on 18/08/11 when I upgraded to Symbian Anna but their icons don't appear in my apps.ACTION TAKE SO FAR
1) tried reinstalled firmware through Ovi suite - failed to have programs
2) advanced date on phone to 22/10/11 and using software update on phone... updates appeared for Symbian Anna 1/2 and 2/2 and installation appeared to take place. However, no icon for Quickoffice or PDF.
3) If I go to settings > application manager > installed apps then Adobe Reader LE version 10.00(245) is listed as being on C: phonememory and Quickoffice 6.04(460) on C: phonememory
I know the original Anna updates caused Quickoffice and PDF viewer to disappear but the following updates would install them. I just finished applying all the Anna updates and am still missing Quickoffice and PDF viewer. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to get them back? Not sure if this matters but I had the paid version of Quickoffice. Since I installed that a while ago I am thinking the Quickoffice in the Anna update is a newer version.
I'm unable to update my quickoffice. At first check the version read something below version 6. But when attempting to update catalogue it says cataloguye update fails and now my quick office version reads UNKNOWN VERSION.And still unable to update my ctalogue which is needed to update the quick office to version 6.Can anyone help me on this? And do E72 users need to download anything to enjoy free maps? Driving navigation is still not free though in city pedestrian navaigation seems to be free. What's actually free with OVI maps and what's not?

I just updated the software for my Nokia X6 and it came with the 'quickoffice' application, when I try to use it, says that I do not have application license and asks if I want to purchase it or continue, when a click continue, it does not do anything, so I assume I have to buy the license, is that true? Cannot use it without license?
I have a Vivaz Pro with pre-installed Quick Office. I've purchased an unlock code from Quick Office. But, Where do we enter the the unlock code in Quick Office? We've tried to Options -> Help -> About and several other menus, but can't seem to find the right menu to enter the unlock code.
Recently I've tried to upgrade quick remote to the latest version but it wasnt there in the update center so I deleted it and tried to install it again but now after it finish downloading it doesnt install and say unknown error -24..
Requesting some assistance with using VNC viewer on N900.I've downloaded the viewer onto the phone and i also installed the vnc server on my vista 32-bit pc. I knew that NAT was going to be a problem because i'm unable to connect.i've traweled through some forums on how to get past this and one of the obvious options was to put my pc in the DMZ. Naturally when you do this, the vnc server can talk to test vnc page ok. fine. I still couldn't run vnc viewer from my phone to connect to my pc at home.Another option was to run vnc in user mode, which i also did but typing in the IP address (both internal and external) it still will not connect.
I bought myself the nokia 5530 last week, and today I tried to open a pdf file, and the phone couldn't open it. I thought it had a document viewer and I checked it again on the Nokia site for it's specifications. There it was under specs "document viewer". Now my question is: How do I install it. Because I checked everywhere and I can't find that app on my phone. It also is not included on the CD which came with the package.I bought myself the 5530 because it had a document viewer. I like to have my slides with me of the class I'm attending, I hated to bring my laptop to class everyday for just the slides which is why I bought this phone.
have just got a Samsung Galaxy S2 and created my first document on Polaris office, saving it as a .doc file. But when copying it to my computer and trying to open it, up flashes a Microsoft Office File Validation security alert, saying that a problem has been detected in trying to open the file and that opening it is probably dangerous and may allow a malicious user to take over my computer.I'm aware that there are issues with MOFV over reading some file formats -- has anyone come across this? Is it that MOFV can't read Polaris files, or is there the possibility of something sinister going on? I've run two different antivirus programme scans (installed on two different computers) on this file, which haven't flagged anything.
I am wondering where to get freeware document viewers, I just came off using an E series device & it has QuickOffice build in.On N900 only Adobe PDF reader/Viewer is included, why isn't QuickOffice? I want free apps not trial apps, best regards.
Has anyone ever tried "Evince Document Viewer" from the "Extras devel" repository? I was messing about with it this morning and discovered that pressing Ctrl+P brings up a print dialog. It's now got me wondering if there are any plans to enable printing of documents straight to printer.
With the E52, I can view a photo (with geotag) with the default photo viewer. Select "Option/Show on Maps" and it will automatically opens up Nokia Maps showing where that photo was taken. And to navigate to that place.
With the N8 photo viewer, there isn't any such option. Is there any apps that could do that?
So i've had my blackberry 8900 for a year now & it's very convenient for me to just press the clicking letters of a contact name and have it narrow down my contacts to the person i want. That way, i don't have to click on the contacts icon and start finding a name.I just took out the battery of my phone & put it in a couple minutes later because of some other issues, & now i can no longer do that anymore! I press buttons when i'm on the home screen and nothing happens; there isn't the convenient shortcut to finding/narrowing down a contact anymore.
When I do software update on my Nokia E72, I get this optional download item Microsoft office Communicator(1.0) for download . Can someone please tell what is this application about and how is this different from Nokia Messaging?
Has anyone successfully used the new native OCS client for the E72? Mine won't connect to the OCS server with a not very helpful "-20" error message. I've looked at the details in the McsService0.log file but nothing obviously wrong jumps out.
I just want to know if i can get a free documents editor for the n900.i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.
I had the Focus prior to this using Office 365 for our corporate mail. When I got the new phone for some reason deleting mail on Office 365 locks the phone for probably 5-10 seconds per mail item. This probably happens 8/10 times, and then the other 2/10 times it goes lightning fast like it did on the Focus. I thought it was a connection issue but I tried enabling and disabling the Wi-Fi so it forces it to go off 4G LTE, and it also the reverse so it goes off Wi-Fi, but for some reason it still does the same thing.
I can delete like 5 emails hanging on each of them, then on the 6th for some reason, runs really fast, then 7th-9 slow and then 10 is fast all in rapid succession.
this app comes with Anna Upgrade to my N8 device and i know from previous topic that it used for a IM , but i don't know how to set it up.... and the user name and the password for what account? and what's the CWA server URL? and from where i can get it?
Does anybody know how to transfer office files into Nokia Lumia 900 directly without going through the Microsoft skydrive / sharepoint. Zune doesn't allow transfer of office documents.
