Nokia Nseries :: Control 5230 From Desktop By Remote Professional?
Jan 28, 2011I Like to control my Nokia 5230 from my Netbook. So I found the software app Remote Professional. Yes its connects, and then it does nothing enymore. I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.

Feb 18, 2010Requesting some assistance with using VNC viewer on N900.I've downloaded the viewer onto the phone and i also installed the vnc server on my vista 32-bit pc. I knew that NAT was going to be a problem because i'm unable to connect.i've traweled through some forums on how to get past this and one of the obvious options was to put my pc in the DMZ. Naturally when you do this, the vnc server can talk to test vnc page ok. fine. I still couldn't run vnc viewer from my phone to connect to my pc at home.Another option was to run vnc in user mode, which i also did but typing in the IP address (both internal and external) it still will not connect.

Jan 11, 2011There seems to be a bug with remote locking on the E5 (where you send a text message with a pre-defined keyword to lock the phone if lost/stolen, etc) - it works, but then keeps requesting the lock code when switched on, even after it has been entered correctly. Disabling remote locking stops lock code request at startup but then you can't lock it remotely! Re-enabling remote locking makes the problem continue, even if lock code is changed in the mean time.Nokia customer services were useless and didn't understand what I was talking about.

So what gives you the right to arbitrarily decide that someones mobile has been transferred to another person and act by freezing my nokia messaging account. I have 2 nokias an E90 and now an E72. I have 3 sim cards a UK one and 2 UAE ones and I use them interchangeably. They are all mine, belonging to one person, so why have you judged that my E72 has moved to " another person". This is outrageous nokia.

I ask because I think it would be fun to be able to run some of my Steam games over a buddy's house on my Xoom without having to pack up my laptop but I am not sure if the programs can keep up. Jun 2, 2011I got my Xoom primarily to access my database and bookmarked & annotated PDFs during client home visits and SS hearings without bringing a laptop. Of course, the Verizon salesperson said I could do all that. But, I could not find a PDF reader that retains bookmarks . My files are sometimes 400-600 or more pages long. I can't scroll through page by page to quickly find what I need using docs to go.
I set up remote desktop for Xoom (phonemypc) as an alternative. This works great(except for brief lags in response times) but I have to enlarge the view on my Xoom to read the remotely controlled monitor screen. I can't see a whole page at once because of this. If, though, I try to scroll in any of the remote desk top views, the Xoom screen moves. I don't want my Xoom screen to move. I want to move within the program on my remote desktop.
Will a bluetooth mouse enable me to use scroll bars without moving the Xoom screen? Or is there an app or method for stopping the Xoom screen from moving when I try to slide a scroll bar on my remote desktop screen? (trying to pull up the traditional right click menu on a scroll bar is a hit and miss experience and it takes multiple tries to get where I need to go in a document--it's too slow).

Jul 14, 2012I have just come back to Nokia from Galaxy Ace but i an stuck with new folder option although the 701 is a better on gps and memory and brighter screen but still not fully convinced Some things seem a lot harder to do!!
1) I have a created a New folder and want to drop PDF time time tables in it " No problem ! But how do I put it on the desk top or create a short cut to it

The shortcut or wiget option on the desktop does not go to anything except installed apps And the Options on folders only show copy or move but not to desktop.
BB Desktop Software :: 9530 Cannot Connect To Desktop Manager
Feb 18, 2010I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I have been using for about 8 months.
I generally sync it about once per day with Microsoft Outlook using the Desktop Manager through a USB connection.Today it would not sync!The PC recognized that I had plugged it in so I am assuming the USB cable is OK.The bar on top of the Desktop manager shows "Disconnected" and the bottom left corner of the Desktop Manager shows my connection as "none"If I try to sync it, a Device Connection box opens up asking for the PIN but does not allow me to type anything into the box.
I have rebooted both the Blackberry and PC a few times to see if this would solve my problem - did not work.
I have also tried other USB connections on my PC.
I have not loaded any new software onto the PC recently, my antivirus program is up to date.
I have read through the help files and cannot find anyway to get it to reconnect.
What do I have to do to get Connected? Do I have to reload the Desktop Manager software or ?

Feb 28, 2010I bought myself the nokia 5530 last week, and today I tried to open a pdf file, and the phone couldn't open it. I thought it had a document viewer and I checked it again on the Nokia site for it's specifications. There it was under specs "document viewer". Now my question is: How do I install it. Because I checked everywhere and I can't find that app on my phone. It also is not included on the CD which came with the package.I bought myself the 5530 because it had a document viewer. I like to have my slides with me of the class I'm attending, I hated to bring my laptop to class everyday for just the slides which is why I bought this phone.

My mac is set to never sleep, but when I activate it after long periods of inactivity I notice that my Wi-Fi has to reconnect. I'm assuming the wi-fi drops out while the mac is not in use (though itunes is still playing music), and I cannot connect via the Remote app.

2) after nothing showing up on my credit card, I picked a very common name, separated by a dot, @telus.com, and logged in. Sure 'nuff, it was a real account, and after putting the Milestone AND the media dock in my cart, I confirmed that the province was "Ontario", so I put the order through.
3) My credit card was charged for the amount of the first order, late in the day on the 20th, for an order placed on the 18th.
4) On Monday the 22nd, the charge for the first order was reversed, and the charge for the second order was shown on my online credit card statement.
4) On Wed the 24th, the second order was reversed.
So I'm wondering what reason they would have to cancel both the orders, and wondering I'm now "flagged" or something and now ineligible for teamwebstore discounts.Or maybe it's just that they're not fulfilling orders that don't include a plan?
HTC Wildfire S :: Custromer Service And The Repair Team?
Nov 23, 2011Where do I begin here! This whole sorry thing started 3rd week of october. I noticed my HTC Wildfire S was having issues with the power on and off button (I thought it was a battery but somehow I managed to fix it) I did notice though that when I was making calls and doing just about anything? It was taking quite a bit of time to respond to any commands via touch and when I was making or receiving calls? The screen was turning Green. I thought something's not right here. I phoned Customer service who arranged for it to be picked up only to find a week later that it came back to me totally unrepaired. No letters inside the package or anything explaining why. I phoned again and also emailed the CEO of HTC to kick up a bit of a fuss. Got a call back from them agreeing that this wasn't right and they arranged a 2nd pick up and I was told this time it would be fixed (and each time too I was told to pack my charger and battery why I don't know) enter today when it has came back to me again with no repair notes no nothing and also this time they have not even returned my phone charger and battery to me and also looks as if they have damaged the battery holder part. What am I supposed to do here?

Oct 23, 2011My N8 does not connect to websites via wifi, in general, 90 % of the times it does not open any web page, either with the default web browser or Opera. However, the phone connects to the wifi network, and Skype for instance always works via wifi, but normally, you cannot go to any webpage or use other programs needing the internet.Surprisingly,sometimes it does connect (10 % of attempts), while nothing was changed in the router or anything. It does happen with any wifi network.
