After a year of picking up my hotmail.com emails a couple of days ago the phone stopped and now all I get is this error message. If I go to hotmail via the internet on the phone is works fine problem is just from the mail application. Got a new error message " Your incoming server does not support SSL. Please modify you incoming server's security type."
View 5 RepliesAfter I deleted an application, I cannot connect my C7 through wifi to the internet as getting the error 'Could not locate remote Server' I tried turning off power save in wifi and also re-installed the application that I deleted before but no luck.

It has worked fine for ages, but today I noticed that new emails were no longer arriving on my phone. I removed the account from my phone, hoping to recreate it but I cannot recreate the account. I put the details in, as above, then when I get to the name account screen and hit Finish, I get 'Failed to create the account. Please try again later.'This is what used to happen before the update - there was some incompatibility between the HTC mail app and Hotmail over ActiveSync, but it has been working fine on my phone for ages, until today.
Is the Hotmail server down because my NM is online, but won't sync the new emails to my inbox even though I know there are new ones there. Not only is the syncing process extremely slow, but it will often go offline on its own accord. And I'm never notified of new emails in my inbox unless I manually sync it.
And the Inbox is sync enabled, I made sure I checked that before I posted anything. Has this happened to anyone else before? I've tried going offline, rebooting my phone and then starting it all up again but it still continues to do the same thing.
i am thinking of getting the above after 18 happy months with my Blackberry 8900.Can anyone tell me if i can get push email from a server? my friend has set up an email for my website (to be) and i would like my email from this website pushed to my phone. The BB does this with ease!Its a standard incoming POP and outgoing SMTP and i can set this up on Outlook.Dont mind if its an application to buy.

I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!

My mac is set to never sleep, but when I activate it after long periods of inactivity I notice that my Wi-Fi has to reconnect. I've recently purchased a N900, and I'm trying to create a new e-mail account to connect to my hotmail/msn account.
The settings I'm using are :
Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?
Received the Desire HD yesterday but it won't connect to my Wifi (although it says it is connected) as when I try to access the market, web browser, gmail it won't connect unless I switch on my 3G connection. The wifi symbol is present at the top of the screen.

It requires Adobe Air which attempts to install when HTC Sync is opened for the first tije but Adobe Air just appears to freeze during the installation process. Has anybody else experienced this problem and managed to resolve it. Without HTC Sync I can't connect with Outlook.

I select Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Network. It says ' Use phone for data connection when Wi-fi is unavailable' even though Wi-fi is switched off. For some reason I can not receive nor send MMS on my Blackberry 9520 Storm 2. I do not even see the option to send a picture as a text when I go to my pictures. I am not sure if this is the phone or my provider. I have my 9520 unlocked and on AT&T with an unlimited data plan and unlimited text. I have tried having pictures sent to me as well, but that also was no luck as I NEVER received a text.The second problem I am having is that I can not access the Blackberry App Store. Every time I try it says that it can not connect to the server.
Edit:: The App Store problem is no longer present (turned off the network and turned it back on), but the MMS problem is still present.
