HTC Desire HD :: Hotmail Active-sync With Mail App?

Since the 2.35/Sense 3.0 Update I have used the HTC mail app with my hotmail account over ActiveSync, connecting with details like:
email: username@live.co.uk
server: m.hotmail.com
domain:
password: ********
username: username@live.co.uk
SSL: Enable
It has worked fine for ages, but today I noticed that new emails were no longer arriving on my phone. I removed the account from my phone, hoping to recreate it but I cannot recreate the account. I put the details in, as above, then when I get to the name account screen and hit Finish, I get 'Failed to create the account. Please try again later.'This is what used to happen before the update - there was some incompatibility between the HTC mail app and Hotmail over ActiveSync, but it has been working fine on my phone for ages, until today.

I currently have a Droid Pro, wanted to set up Hotmail as IMAP or Active Sync. Currently have it set up as POP3, but wanted the full capabilities from the phone. (Yes, I know, the simple answer is to switch to gmail, but I have had this hotmail account for many years). I have tried the steps listed here: [URL]
Added a Corporate Sync account. Entered these parameters:
Email Address: <my email>
Password: <my password>
Domain: Blank
Username: <my email>
Server: m.hotmail.com
Use secure connection: Checked
When I enter these details, it adds the account to the phone. However, when I go into that account, after a few minutes I get an error: "Unable to connect to Hotmail1." The strange thing is, I am able to see my subfolder set up after it timed out while trying to connect. How to get Hotmail working on a Droid Pro...other than POP3?

I've been having some issues with the phone, some of which I can see from the forum have been affecting other users (digitizer, etc). However, in an attempt to fix the non-responsive screen I re-booted the device to factory settings (advice from EE) and restored the data from off the PC. However, it now seems to sync with my gmail account in preference to my Hotmail and as a result has duplicated all of my contacts. Where do I go to in the BB menus to change the setting back to Hotmail for the sync of organizer and mail?

I am trying to connect my exchange email to my iPhone without using active sync. I am able to connect it to the Mac mail program on my MacBook pro with out ay issues. Can this be done on the iPhone? Please instruct.

After a year of picking up my hotmail.com emails a couple of days ago the phone stopped and now all I get is this error message. If I go to hotmail via the internet on the phone is works fine problem is just from the mail application. Got a new error message " Your incoming server does not support SSL. Please modify you incoming server's security type."

My 'phone says "application Mail process com.htc.andriod.mail has stopped unexpectedly" - wot zat about then?This 'phone has Android version 2.3.3 as originally supplied here in the UK It has stopped all email collection from my 'phone that was working well before Text messaging is fine and the sim works in another 'phone - no problems there?

I bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed.It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.

I can not believe with my Blackberry Bold 9780 I can not connect to Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail e-mail from the same time. If I connect to Messenger, then I have to remove the battery to start receiving emails, but if I go to connect to MSN Messenger with the application site of Blackberry stopped receiving emails

I deleted and re-install my Hotmail email address my my iPhone. After re-installing the hotmail address using 'pop3.live.com' for Incoming and 'stmp.live.com' for 'Outgoing Mail'. I have no problem sending mail from my iPhone, however I am unable to retrieve 'Incoming Mail'. When I attempt to open my Hotmail Inbox, at the bottom it displays 'Checking for Mail' and then a panel appears displaying:Cannot Get Mail
The mail server "pop3.live.com" is not responding.Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.I have read many of the messages pertaining to this issue, but none of the recommendations were successful.Â

On an iPhone 4s which has been working fine mail from hotmail is now only showing the headings. The first 2 lines preview ok, so it is seeing the content, but tapping the message only shows the heading.

Bought my first nokia phone for 9 days and already has several problems. Starting with what is most urgent. Already after 3-4 days disappeared suddenly able to receive mail from my hotmail account, but luckily came back later in the day! So on Friday I got an email from nokia with the text below. This has been happening for the last couple of weeks and I was hoping someone here would have an answer for me.very time I try to access my mail client I get the error message;Mail has stopped unexpectedly. Please tell HTC about this problem. To help HTC improve Mail, select 'Tell HTC' to send an error to HTC'I've hit Tell HTC and followed the prompts, but so far nothing has happened Because of this, I have started using the mail widget so I can view incoming emails, but I can't send emails or open my inbox. similar thing was happening with my messages for a while before this started. If I tried to access my messages from the app icon a similar message would pop up (I told HTC every time) I started using the messages widget which worked and finally the problem stopped altogether.

I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.

After updating to Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0 my Exchange Push Mail does not work anymore.It asks me for my password which it does not seem to accept.The only fix sofar reported is to perform a Factory Reset.

How often does mail, friendstream and facebook update? It seem that it only check the mail every hour and facebook every 3 hours, friendstream doesn't update unless I tell it to. Is there any way to speed these up in an option I haven't found yet?

I'm really frustrated over this issue as I've spent quite a bit of time asking and searching on the internet without any definitive answers. I need to get this matter settle sooner rather than later as I'm about to upgrade phones.I know that Hotmail doesn't have a 2-way sync solution with a Blackberry. So how do people keep both their Hotmail and blackberries in sync?Just to be clear, I don't want to talk about Yahoo Mail or Gmail as I know the latter now support 2-way sync with BIS. I'm asking about Hotmail.

Everything worked well for over half a year until last Thursday.I sync my contacts, email and calendar with my Google Account via Mail for Exchange protocol. Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.

i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.

After reinstalling the whole firmware in Nokia Care, everything works fine, except the email app.
VERY STRANGE problem. I can only sync maximum 50 emails in my hotmail account but 250 emails in my yahoo account! The setting are all the same (maximum mails in inbox > 250).
I have tried to delete the account and re sign up it, and i have tried to login with another hotmail account. STILL THE SAME. 50 emails maximum for hotmail accounts. Soft reset has been tried. NO USE AT ALL :-(
How can I solve it? Do i need to reinstall the whole firmware again in nokia care (OMG !)

Today I joined the 21c and got an Xperia X10 mini pro.Lovely phone but I need to update and sync my contacts from Outlook or Hotmail.I gather Android refuses to work with Hotmail directly and Active sync doesn't work with Android 2.1.So I was relieved when I saw that I could use PC Companion via Google email (although why I want yet another email account is beyond me), only to find that it is telling me I don't have Outlook installed on my PC.I do!It is Outlook 2010 and is a legal copy! I am trying to love my new phone but right now I am very frustrated.I just want my contacts and my calendar.

I have maybe 15 total folders in my hotmail account. On my Electrify, I am running the hotmail app. While it shows my other folders,I can't get it to sync to show the emails that populate those folders. I've messed with every app setting there is to no avail.
