I bought an HTC desire HD today and I can't install HTC Sync on my PC (Windows XP). It requires Adobe Air which attempts to install when HTC Sync is opened for the first tije but Adobe Air just appears to freeze during the installation process. Has anybody else experienced this problem and managed to resolve it. Without HTC Sync I can't connect with Outlook.

The Jorte calendar is set to on Google calendar option.The major problems I have are:syncing is very slow and often freezes Syncing causes duplicates to appear in my Outlook contacts. I have deleted hundreds of them several times, and it keeps happening.appointments entered in Jorte don't sync to Outlook, but Outlook does sync to Jorte?

I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.

View 2 Replies View Relatedconnected my phone to the PC and selected USB tethering. After I disconnect my phone from PC, I am not able to enable mobile network. I select Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Network. It says ' Use phone for data connection when Wi-fi is unavailable' even though Wi-fi is switched off. Edge icon does not come up in the task bar. Has anyone faced this issue? Please let me know if I have to change some settings.

I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. I downloaded Outlook mobile. It synced email immediately, although it won't let me create a trash folder. It still won't sync my calendar though.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to sync with Outlook 2003 I get the error 'folder is no longer part of the system data source or the folder could not be found' I have spent the morning updating the BB desktop software which took hours even though the phone is straight out of the box, 250mb worth. The email sync tick box is also greyed out but the wireless sync work a dream no probs at all but I would like to get my contacts on there along with email folders and such.

I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.

I cannot find a way to update it atall, phone is not rooted as I ave no idea how to do this and worried that following guides online will brick the phone.
how to update to 2.3.5 or even 4.0.3 (but would prefer 2.3.5) I was running 4.0.3 on my HTC Sensation and it was very buggy.
For the last week or so the phone keeps shutting itself off and restarting only to go into a loop.
I then take battery out and start up again. It will get to the main screen and will just do the same thing again. After ages and ages of messing around it will then seem to be fine.
I've noticed it only seems to do it late in the evening and on the taskbar it keeps showing the gps satalite symbol. If the phone dnt show it then it dnt seem to shut down.
I always believed this phone to be of good reliability but its not. I will be phoning my operator as to me its a faulty phone. I do have anti virus apps which show no problem.
