Are there any remote desktop (RDP) apps that have the option to DISCONNECT but stay logged on ? All of ones that I tried will log me off when I disconnect.Sometimes I want to disconnect (but stay logged on) to I can leave some stuff on our Windows servers running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a Bold 9900 since April 2012, the battery life on it is incredibly short and my patience with it is beginning to match. For example, it was fully charged at 0930 this morning, and now at 17:50, the battery has a quater left.I have closed out of the internet, my apps are logged out, there is nothing running on it out of the ordinary, I dont understand what is happening. It has been like this since day 1. Initially I put it down to me using th ephone so much because it was my 'new toy' but now I rarely pick it up. I misplaced it today for approximately 4 hours so it had no use what so ever yet the battery is still nearly flat!

Every time I plug in my charger and every time my phone reboots, I lose apps. In particular I lose Apps2sd and Zumocast. I've also lost my remote desktop app as well.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI Like to control my Nokia 5230 from my Netbook. So I found the software app Remote Professional. Yes its connects, and then it does nothing enymore. I get a white screen, and see no virtual Nokia Interface. ( I wrote 2 times to Remote Professional since I have a registred version. I did never get an answer))) Is there a decent software application wich provides this functionality without problems. I have an older WM 5 device, and that is more reliable than this Nokia Device, it misses however radio and max SD card space for 2 GB but the virtual PDA on my Netbook was running without problems.

And even more has anyone who uses any of these seen if they can handle running your games properly from a remote location? I ask because I think it would be fun to be able to run some of my Steam games over a buddy's house on my Xoom without having to pack up my laptop but I am not sure if the programs can keep up. I know that there is software capable of doing such (Onlive [I realize this is a subscription service and different context]) but was wondering if we can accomplish this on our own yet via one of the many programs in the Market.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got my Xoom primarily to access my database and bookmarked & annotated PDFs during client home visits and SS hearings without bringing a laptop. Of course, the Verizon salesperson said I could do all that. But, I could not find a PDF reader that retains bookmarks . My files are sometimes 400-600 or more pages long. I can't scroll through page by page to quickly find what I need using docs to go.
I set up remote desktop for Xoom (phonemypc) as an alternative. This works great(except for brief lags in response times) but I have to enlarge the view on my Xoom to read the remotely controlled monitor screen. I can't see a whole page at once because of this. If, though, I try to scroll in any of the remote desk top views, the Xoom screen moves. I don't want my Xoom screen to move. I want to move within the program on my remote desktop.
Will a bluetooth mouse enable me to use scroll bars without moving the Xoom screen? Or is there an app or method for stopping the Xoom screen from moving when I try to slide a scroll bar on my remote desktop screen? (trying to pull up the traditional right click menu on a scroll bar is a hit and miss experience and it takes multiple tries to get where I need to go in a document--it's too slow).

I have rebooted several times, and upon reboot the wifi connects and never disconnects. I have removed any widgets that access data and the problem remains, however those widgets were there prior to the update and wifi worked normally.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter updating to 5.5.893 when I put my Droid into the desk top charger the screen will not stay illuminated. It times out just as if I were holding it in my hand. I like to be able to glance up from my work wnd see whether I have email waiting. Now I have to "wake the phone up" to check it. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere but this was never an issue prior to the software update.

I have an iPhone 3GS on Tmobile (unlocked and jailbroken, of course), and it's logging all of my calls except the incoming Private/Blocked/Unknown calls. Is there a setting somewhere that will let me log those calls as well? All of my other phones have logged all calls.

have done full reset twice, deleted and re-installed facebook both from the home screen and removed my account and the app via the settings screen. Im still on IOS 6 as my phone is only 8gb so could never update to IOS 7 as the memory required was nearly half the memory of my phone! no updates available for my version of fb obviously but never had any issues until today. Weirdly despite the fact i am not even logged in and have no account connected in teh settings options as it wont let me, it still is showing notifications popping up for FB

I have used app groups heavily on my Photon. They always worked great. This weekend I decided to do a factory reset. (My boot time was really really slow). After the FR I tried to set everything up just as it was before. But now I add apps to the app groups and after a little while, most of them disappear from the app group. The apps are all still there and visible in the All Apps view. But I put six app in an app group and a little while later there are only 2 or maybe 3 or none. I tried rebooting and that didn't work. I decided that something might have gone awry with the FR so I did another, but the problem remains.
Everything else with the FR went fine except one thing. The ROM has an older Google+ app with the older icon. I updated it, but the icon didn't change. I ran it and it is indeed the new app. But the old Icon remained. I went into Play Store and uninstalled the update and re-installed it. And when I try to open the app from the Play Store, it says the app can't be found. It works fine from the launcher (stock launcher) but not from the Play store. Then a few hours later, the icon changed to the new icon. This happened with both Factory Resets. It didn't happen to any other app. Everything else is fine... And my boot times are now much shorter.
is there anyway to delete an icloud account off of your phone even if you are not logged into it?

This has been my experience with all the non Apple ones, anyway.I can make a phone call, text, and do stuff in safari, but all my apps crash to the desktop about a second or two after I open them.At least I can put all my nonfunctional apps into folders.Ideas?

I have accessed my email accounts from 2 pc's, one from my home pc and one from my office pc, and this are hotmail and yahoo email account. I have also configured my email account on my blackberry 9800 torch. Surprisingly, when first time my email account was hacked I received information about my account from alternate email id, and I safely reset my hotmail password but am still able to receive email on my blackberry. So, if I had reset my email address then in my blackberry 9800, shouldnt it ask for password to login to the email, since i reset it. The same incident has happened for past 3 times and I dont have clue whether its the blackberry (RIM) service problem or the Vodafone carrier that I am using, since vodafone might be getting all the information related to my email account and its password, when I login on blackberry?

When I am logged off, and even if someone else is logged in to my computer, the smartphone states that my computer is offline. Is this how Zumocast was designed? Or, is there something wrong with my setup? I can see Zumocast not getting access if the computer is sleeping. But, I don't want to have to stay logged in when I'm away.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.

But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.
I am trying to view my installed apps on my Torch via the desktop software. All I have displayed is "Loading applcations from device..." My torch flashes a couple of times when I click on "View aplications" but that is all that happens. My torch does sync via the desktop without issues.
