This has been my experience with all the non Apple ones, anyway.I can make a phone call, text, and do stuff in safari, but all my apps crash to the desktop about a second or two after I open them.At least I can put all my nonfunctional apps into folders.Ideas?

I updated my 3GS to 5.1.1 and the phone and contacts now crash when I open them. SMS still works and old messages are still on phone but the contact information is missing (only numbers). Mail works, and calendar works also. I've restored from back up 3 times now but still no joy. Same problems. Cannot open mail, contacts, calendars in settings - presumably because contacts crashes.Looked on forums and tried merging contacts with iCloud but the merge crashes when I select contacts.I only upgraded because iTunes badgered me to do so every time I connected. Had no problem before this.

It seems that only after a few minutes the phone gets very hot and the apps abruptly close. often it is when i am holding the phone as opposed to laying it on a flat surface.

I have just bought a new laptop (Sony Vaio running Windows 7 and Microsoft Outlook 2010).
I am using the Blackberry 8900 Curve with Vodafone.
Like everyone else, I could not synchronise my blackberry with Outlook 2010 and was told to wait until August for version 6 of Desktop Manager.
I just installed it! But when I tried to launch Desktop Manager is simply says "Blackberry desktop software has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" and then I get " Blackberry desktop software has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
I un-installed and reinstalled. No change.
Prior to downloading version 6 I had downloaded and installed version 5 with Service Pack - the file name was 501_b049_multilanguage. That one installed and launched but there was NO WAY to synchronise Blackberry Curve 8900 with Outlook 2010!
My PC is brand new and "TOTALLY CLEAN" of any special install. The only application running on this laptop other than Microsoft Windows 7 (32 bit) and Microsoft Office 2010 (including Outlook 2010) are McAfee (which I disabled to ensure this was not the reason desktop manager would not work!) and an HP all in one printer!
IT HAS BEEN A WHOLE MONTH since Microsoft launched Outlook 2010, not sure what the issue is but both Desktop Manager 5 and Desktop Manager 6 have VERY SERIOUS ISSUES which should have been screened through QA.
Having issues with low memory that is causing some of my apps to crash?

i purchased 3 apps for my iphone on the apps store using my friend apple id because i dont have a credit card. is that the reason why all of my apss are crashing all day? i have tried the "delete and install again" of my free apps and it worked temporarily. i have also updated all of y apps except for one, i cannot update because that is the one that i have purchased and it is asking for the password of my friend's apple id. and i forgot what her password is. but anyway is that the reason why my apps are crashing? also i have experienced, when i delete and install again free apps, the free apps started to work again. but when i try to use the apps that i have purchased, every app crashes again.

I have iOS 4.2.1 and my games/ apps crash, most of the time they never open but this isn't always happening but time to time it does get quite annoyingly. Might it be because the iPhone 3G hasn't enough ram space or shall I hard reset the phone and then start opening apps, btw I download the apps of AppStore and I don't download them of any other source.

Then due a hard drive failure, I had to start itunes over because after that point, I finally got an external hard drive. My ipod died during the process (unrelated). This happened a little while ago, and my new iPhone is set to be delivered in a couple days. Are my paid apps lost forever? I am afraid to download any paid apps since I'm not sure if I will be charged for it. Is there any way to recover them?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently J/B my 3G after upgrading to IOS4. Now it seems its a 50/ 50 chance that apps I used before are compatible? One in particular(Infinidock/ $.99/Cydia) I purchased(no trial available). After loging in and being redirected to pay for the app, I get back to the "install" page and get an error message stating to the effect this apps only works with ">4.0" Though it was only $.99 I think this should have been caught before I paid for the app... And of course I've never seen/ heard of getting a "refund" from Cydia?

I have found a fault in the system: If I type too quickly in the Messages or Notes apps, they suddenly crash and completely delete whatever was being written. I now have to type extremely slowly in order to stop my phone from completely crashing.Â

While some of this is probably because of it being new software and not every app has been updated for it, but certain apps have been crashing on launch, or with in moments of using it. And using some games have made the game it self very laggy, where as it was fine on 3.0 examples being sonic, and madden 2010. Many of the other tasks on the phone seem quite snappy though.I do have the GM version, but the build is apparently the same.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 3GS on 3.0.1 that I just used Pwnage Tool to JB/upgrade to 4.0 and then unlock using ultrasn0w.. everything went perfectly..BUT... some Cydia apps don't seem to work - looked around and didn't see a thread, so I started one. Hope this information isn't redundant.
Statusnotifier: One of my favorite Cydia apps, doesn't work with IOS4. It keeps crashing the springboard and I had to uninstall it. Apparently there is a workaround but that has its own quirks, so I will wait to see if an update is forthcoming.
SBSettings: Works but has some quirks as clearly stated on the SBSettings page on Cydia. I didn't bother with loading it yet although it is by far the most useful Cydia app in my opinion.
Any others? It would be great to keep a running list of apps that don't work with IOS4, or that have been subsequently patched to get working again.
Since they don't close are all the apps in your pages now creating a lonnnnnnnnng filmstrip in the task switcher?
edit: I think I'd rather have them suspend-in-place so to speak and instead set the filmstrip to learn and 'save' the '10-most-used-apps' or something like.
I am not sure this is the right place to ask on GM iOS4, I would like to upgrade Gold Master iOS4 to mine 3GS right now and when it released the official firmware for public on 21st June, would I have any problem to upgrade from GM version?

Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. It will also get stuck on the boot screen a lot. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 5.1.1 lollipop (not rooted). I have factory reset my phone twice to no avail. My phone battery is not expanded, and I have uninstalled all programs that could cause the crashes.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have had my Bold 9000 for about two months. I bought it unlocked and have been using it with T-mobile. When I first got it, i upgraded it to the latest leaked os 5.0. The thing is, I had problems with it. First it would just randomly crash and restart and crash and restart, continuously tell it just drained the battery out. Sometimes, on restarts, the standard Blackberry ringtones would not work, and sometimes they would. Sometimes when it would restart after crashing it would say, "net_app_something_ (52) isnt working and was canceled". I assumed it was a bad leak and tried several different version. (and this same occurred with each OS. I would install it on my pc, on my buddy's who has an unlocked Bold 9000 on t-mobile just like me. In the end I gave up and went back to 4.6. Yesterday i tried the new, official OS 5.0.It worked at first, but then when I install the newest BBM, it started crashing again, until the battery was gone. So now I have reinstalled it, kept the standard BBM that comes with the OS. and also deleted Quickpull. thinking it might have to do with it as well. On a last weird note. It seems only to crash in the evening. In the morning it is perfectly fine, however once it passes 4pm , the crashing beings, non if this occurs with 4.6.
Any ideas? My friend and I are both lost. Sorry for the wordy post, but it is really difficult to describe the retardedness of this situation.
After recently updating the Desktop Manager to 5.0.1, the Redirector no longer operates. When opening it, i get the error message."Desktop Redirector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry..."
I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I've BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I'm trying to update/nstall the Apps through desktop but whenever I try to do that I receive a message "Content protection is enabled on the device
But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.
I am trying to view my installed apps on my Torch via the desktop software. All I have displayed is "Loading applcations from device..." My torch flashes a couple of times when I click on "View aplications" but that is all that happens. My torch does sync via the desktop without issues.
