BB Pearl :: Can't Update Apps Through Appworld On Desktop

I've BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I'm trying to update/nstall the Apps through desktop but whenever I try to do that I receive a message "Content protection is enabled on the device
But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.
I have just upgraded my software via the internet to OS6 and although the new software is awesome, my app world won't open. When I click on the icon, the phone freezes. I have installed and uninstalled... inserted and re-inserted the battery many times. I have also tried to install an earlier version.
Also my protect gives me the following message: "Error starting net_rim_bb_dryad gui: Symbol 'Security.device Under Attack' not found."
And finally when I am typing in BBM or anywhere else I get a text imput error message. Murphy's law it's not coming up now when I want to post this. I love my BB but I want to be able to use all the services offered. My line of work depends on my phone working properly.
Can anyone advise how to install the desktop for a BB Pearl Flip? Is it any different from any of the other phones? I read something about it needing a Media Card?
After recently updating the Desktop Manager to 5.0.1, the Redirector no longer operates. When opening it, i get the error message."Desktop Redirector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry..." I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
Am I missing something...... There is such a lack of third party apps for media players and especially browsers. Is there other ways that could be shared? Are there other apps for these two that can be found out there that are compatible with the storm 2? Free or not.
Using the latest version of Appword (but issue existed in the older version as well). Bold 9900 device, software version 7.1 bundle
I'm signed in with my BB ID, once I select the app to download and agree to the T&C flash screen nothing happens. Even if I go to the payments options screen the same thing happens. I agree to the T&Cs and nothing happens.
I bought my BB Curve 9360 second hand and, despite making sure I was on a BB supported contract with Orange, have never been able to successfully download apps from appworld. I press 'download' and up comes the Agree/ Disagree box, which disappears after I select 'Agree'. And then - nothing. It has returned to the previous screen detailing information about the app and when I check my downloads, there it isn't. I have experienced a similar thing when I go on the payment methods option - I select 'Agree' and the screen doesn't change. I've been on several other forums but can't find any which have the same problem.I don't understand whether it's my BB or Orange or what?!
Went to buy a App today thru App World and my PayPal connection came back with try later. Did this about ten times so I ended up buying the App from crackberry site.Anyone else having a PayPal connection problem thru the App World site?
With all the problems we are having with AppWorld and the update tip coming from crackberry. You would think we would have some kind of an explanation or at least tell the members who are having issues (there are many) what is going on and have they talked to rim about this problem..
bought the pearl 3g 9105. i want to update the it to os 6 i downloaded the os officially from the black berry website and installed it. but when i connect the pearl to my pc the bb desktop software does not show the os 6 installer it only shows 2 options os 5 and one to downgrade it to os 5 of a previous version.
I had a notification telling me there was a new version of Blackberry App World available. So as usual I updated it and then continued with the reboot that was needed after. I didn't look but later that day I wanted to download something and was shocked to find blackberry appeared was not there. It still shows as being downloaded on my phones management but it is not on the menu. I have deleted it and reinstalled it off the website but it still doesn't come back.
Initializing new phones for the kids, and downloaded the latest App World update (3.1.0.58) through an old 2.1 App World update process. App World icon is MIA, although the application is clearly installed when I check Applications (it's on the list, with all the modules showing). I have reinstalled the OS, deleted Application Manager and App World and reinstalled them, done several battery pulls - all to no avail. I have checked for hidden icons, checked all folders, but I cannot find the icon, nor can I start App World. No application updates are showing on the status bar, even though I know several need updates.Running OS 6.0 Bundle 2391 (v6.0.0.534, Platform 6.6.0.200) on a Curve 9300, registered with Koodo and connected to my wifi network.
my BB Pearl 9105 is not being recognized by BB desktop manager v6 OR v5 windows is recognizing it and it is accessible through windows explorer but completely fails to connect to desktop manager. have re-installed and re-donwloaded it multiple times but its always the same.
I need to sync my contacts with the Blackberry Desktop software, but can not deactivate the wireless feature in the phone. Can not find where to turn Wireless Off to update contacts
Since the last update of the appworld application (around one week ago) I encounter some problems with its search feature. Indeed, when I enter a keyword in the search field, it sends me back the result by categories (News/Games/My World...). And if I click on any categories to get the details of applications found, the appworld application freezes. I must click on the back/return key to regain control so I never have the result of what I searched.
So each time I need a new application by searching, I must use the web blackberry site and a QR code scanner. And, regarding this point, I have another question: could you explain me why I'm not able to install some basic applications on my recent BB like "yahoo!", "viigo" or one of the RIM gift "bejeweled" ? When I try to install them, appworld answers "this application is not available for this terminal" (translation from french message). I'm very surprised that those application are not available on one of the most recent device and with the last OS.

My wife and I each have a Blackberry phone. One is an 8100 the other is an 8200. I cannot figure out how to backup them both up on the same PC with Windows Vista. The Desktop Manager software does not seem to allow two different phones. I also have tried to install two different versions of Desktop Manager in different directories without success. How can I back them both up?
I've read a few threads on changing the Icons on the start-up screen, by altering the order that the application appear, and moving them so they are the first appliactions to on the applications screen. But I have Icons that are present on Home screen (desktop) that don't appear as an application on the application screen? Here is my delema: My current theme (VODAFONE WHITE) has the front page menu order of:
Voice Mail Call Log Email Text/Media Messages Calander
But I want to change the theme... except "Voice Mail" isn't an application and therefore its not a movable application to make it appear on the front screen. I would dearly love a new theme (vodafone white is lame!) but it offers exactly the menu I want.. How do I create "Voice Mail" to be an application so that I can move it to one of the first 5 positions and make it appear on the home screen?
I received a notification that I needed to update the Desktop software to v5.0.1 2010-03-25 and so downloaded the 250MB file. When I clicked on install, after a few seconds I received the message "There was an error installing updates. Click here to see the updates that have not been installed". This download process has happened a couple of times. I have tried and tried to run the installation, but keep getting the same message.
I then checked the version of my BB Desktop software and found that it was 5.0.1.18 [Aug 21 2009]. The update notification is therefore for a newer version, or so it seems. Can anyone help with reasons why it wont install, or give me some pointers how to get round whatever is preventing the installation. I don't want to have to keep downloading 250 mb files every night if I can help it.
I received a notification of a BB Appworld update a few days ago and tried installing OTA and for some reason it failed. Since then the AppWorld Icon has disappeared. I tried "Show all" and such to see if it got hidden but no such luck. Have tried battery pulls and deleting and re-downloading the app to no avail. Even though the icon is not showing my Application list shows it as an installed app, what gives?
have had my Pearl Flip for less than 6 months. The Desktop Manager & Media Sync have NEVER worked completely, even ater many, many uninstalls and re-installs. BB Pearl 8220 Flip EDGE Wi-Fi v 4.6.0.222 (Platform 4.1.0.80)
I just updated the OS and the Desktop software to the newer versions above. As a result of that my calendar does not synchronize with the MSOutlook. The Desktop Software says that the Calendar is not installed.
If I go to the Selective Restore option he recognizes the Calendar (so the Calendar is there).
I used to send emails to anybody. Since three days I can send emails only to those that use my own email provider. Otherwise I got this message: "Desktop email program unable to submit message"
Trying to transfer pictures from device to desktop pictures but not connecting.seems i was able to back up.downloaded new software to desktop while BB was connected vis USA to computer.
I really new help with my blackberry perl 8100 series!! My phone is through cingular and my serves is through t-mobile. So I am all new to this whole adding and updating thing ect...yes this is also my first time owning a blck berry phone!
