Ever since i upgraded to ios4 i am noticing that many apps are crashing and the phone going back to home screen.When i looked in the log directory there are a lot of logs that state "Low memory".I do not put any apps in background and just usually do some causual browsing on light weigh sites.Anyone else experiencing this problem?
View 4 RepliesWhile some of this is probably because of it being new software and not every app has been updated for it, but certain apps have been crashing on launch, or with in moments of using it. And using some games have made the game it self very laggy, where as it was fine on 3.0 examples being sonic, and madden 2010. Many of the other tasks on the phone seem quite snappy though.I do have the GM version, but the build is apparently the same.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using an iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1 and had no problem with it so far, but couple days ago I installed the smartsync app (syncs my contacts with facebook) and since then all of the apps are keep crashing because of the wired memory goes up really high, crashes the phone and do it again. Even if there is no app open, the wired memory goes up really high and crashed the phone and then do it again. So the battery dies really fast, and you cannot really use any app! I deleted the smartsync, I did a restore and a back-up

Was loading facebook today and the app crashed. Shutting down and restarting didn't fix it. Wanted to know if anyone else was encountering a problem during the app start up before I wasted my time deleting, then reinstalling the app, only to see it occur again?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis has been my experience with all the non Apple ones, anyway.I can make a phone call, text, and do stuff in safari, but all my apps crash to the desktop about a second or two after I open them.At least I can put all my nonfunctional apps into folders.Ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently J/B my 3G after upgrading to IOS4. Now it seems its a 50/ 50 chance that apps I used before are compatible? One in particular(Infinidock/ $.99/Cydia) I purchased(no trial available). After loging in and being redirected to pay for the app, I get back to the "install" page and get an error message stating to the effect this apps only works with ">4.0" Though it was only $.99 I think this should have been caught before I paid for the app... And of course I've never seen/ heard of getting a "refund" from Cydia?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a 3GS on 3.0.1 that I just used Pwnage Tool to JB/upgrade to 4.0 and then unlock using ultrasn0w.. everything went perfectly..BUT... some Cydia apps don't seem to work - looked around and didn't see a thread, so I started one. Hope this information isn't redundant.
Statusnotifier: One of my favorite Cydia apps, doesn't work with IOS4. It keeps crashing the springboard and I had to uninstall it. Apparently there is a workaround but that has its own quirks, so I will wait to see if an update is forthcoming.
SBSettings: Works but has some quirks as clearly stated on the SBSettings page on Cydia. I didn't bother with loading it yet although it is by far the most useful Cydia app in my opinion.
Any others? It would be great to keep a running list of apps that don't work with IOS4, or that have been subsequently patched to get working again.
I just got the new Iphone 4s and have downloaded plenty of apps. For some reason my apps began to crash.

So this just started this morning but my iPhone 3G will not launch any apps other than the preloaded apple apps. When I try to launch them they load for a second and then it goes back to the home screen. I havent loaded any new apps so I am not sure what is going on.

Since they don't close are all the apps in your pages now creating a lonnnnnnnnng filmstrip in the task switcher?
edit: I think I'd rather have them suspend-in-place so to speak and instead set the filmstrip to learn and 'save' the '10-most-used-apps' or something like.
I am not sure this is the right place to ask on GM iOS4, I would like to upgrade Gold Master iOS4 to mine 3GS right now and when it released the official firmware for public on 21st June, would I have any problem to upgrade from GM version?

Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. Or is the iOS4 GM identical to the official iOS 4 release?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 3g and I am JB with rock. Last night my phone would no longer launch any app store apps. All the apps when started immediately crash. All native apps as well as all JB apps work fine. I didnt install any new apps. I did update Rock but I cant remember if it was doing that before or after the Rock update. Any one know how to fix this without a restore. I sync my phone at work and a full restore is a PITA!

eversince i updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1 most, if not all of my apps, suffers from crashing. there are times that all will be normal, but there are many times when after just a few seconds of launching an app, it will just crash.

updated my new iPhone 6 plus to 8.1.1 and the maps app won't work just crashes everytime it's opened so everything that uses a link to it eg:- find my friend, find my phone, Argos app facebook if someone puts their location on which shows the map all crash. And my safari just crashes when ever it likes.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI switched from an iPhone to this Motorola Defy one week ago, I purchased a 16 gig memory card to match the memory of the iPhone, and loaded about 10 gigs of music onto it. This froze my phone upon reading the card. I downgraded to an 8 gig card and loaded around 4 gigs of music, which also froze the phone. This time, however I was able to start playing the music before eventually freezing. I deleted all except 1.5 gigs of the music and now it works fine; however this is a waste of my money purchasing a large memory card; or even switching from the iPhone in the first place.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new Sony Xperia Z3. The problems I am experiencing are that all sony default apps crashing and some other apps aswell. Apps that have crashed are; the contacts app, the messenger app (not facebook), the homescreen app, the album app, the walkman and the movies app.
When they crash I get a message saying Unfortunately "app name", has stopped. The only way to make the app working again is to reset the phone. This happens quite often which is surprising since the phone is new and its a flagship device.
The second problem I am experiencing is the phone randomly resetting itself, this happens about once per day. I believe the reason for the random resets are the crashing apps. I think that because when I was using my phone all apps suddently crashen, then the phone just reset itself twice before it was usable again.
Totally new to this phone, with the option to download applications. Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?
