View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 9900 running the latest software 7.1.0 bundle 1310. I set up the auto on at 6am and off at 1am which is later than I go to sleep and earlier than I awake, just in case I have any emergency calls, but without using up my battery. However, the sound that comes on when this function is happening is so loud that it wakes me up in the next room. Is there any way to turn off the notifier sound that plays when the phone is turning on and off? I have tried to change the phone profile but it doesn't affect this.If there is no way to turn off the sounds for this function, I don't understand how it is useful. You may as well just plug in the phone and put the profile on "phone only" every night.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone for reasons best known to itself infrequently if not rarely reboots and then plays a loud piece of music (not one I have downloaded!) and I cannot seem to mute it or turn it off until its run it's 30 second course. This may not sound a long time but it is when you are in a meeting of quiet place and other than removing the battery, which would defeat the whole point I cannot find out how to a) silence it, b) turn it off for future reboots or c) why my phone feels the need to restart on a regular basis.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI never use the spell check feature. It has been turned off since day one. Now all of a sudden it gives me the suggested letters/words as I'm typing. I have searched every setting and can't find anything other than the spell check feature and it is off. Am I missing something? It also now does the short vibrate when I press a key. I have that feature off as well.

Whenever I send an MMS to multiple people at the same time, it seems to create some sort of group conversation in which everyone can see everyone elses reply and text messages. This is really annoying!! I had a Droid 3 before I exchanged it for an X2, and I'm pretty sure you were able to turn it off within the messaging app's settings menu. However, that option seems to be missing on the X2?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe volume warning that pops up when you are plugged into the headphone jack with the volume at 30. The fact that it automatically turns my volume down to 13 is maddening! And it does this at a seemingly random interval.
Any way to turn this super ridiculous "feature" off? It never fails that I'm listening to music, or a podcast, through my portable stereo plugged into the aux jack, and lets just say I was changing spark plugs in a Jeep (hypothetically speaking of course) and I couldn't get to the phone to turn it back up and dismiss the nanny message... Even if I had a set of headphones plugged in, who is Nokia to tell me at what level I can have the volume set?
I've had the phone for about a week and I absolutely love it except that at seemingly random moments my phone will block the viewing of any and all of my SMS messages saying "Content protection is enabled". It will show up at the beginning of newly received messages and even in the middle of real-time conversations between someone else and I and then I have to wait for the message to "go away" so I can read what the response was and continue the conversation. Is it something I'm doing? A default phone feature? Is anyone else experiencing this issue or at least know how to solve it?

I used to be able to wave my hand over the black screen and I would see if I had any notifications, not now. Several posts have said to check the air wake up box, but air wake up is not an option.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOff late I have noticed my phone rejects an incomming call by sending a message without my knowledge (the phone is usually in my pocket). I have tried to delete the template messages, but I could not.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched this forum and (surprisingly) not found any references to what is possibly the most annoying "feature" that RIM has introduced since I've owned a berry. By providing the broadcast function in the newer versions of Messenger, my berry is now subject to the same stupid, irrelevant, inane and/or unoriginal jokes/rumours/prayer request-type junk mail that I strenuously guard my email inbox against. However, while I can set up filters and rules to block such unwanted email messages, there are no such controls present in BBM and the only way to effectively counter repeat offenders is to delete them from your contact list, which is a sledgehammer vs nut solution, to say the least.
In my list of contacts, there are certain individuals who regularly send out such broadcast messages and then there are others who are thoroughly irritated by them, like myself, but then compound the situation by sending out aggravated, ill-tempered broadcasts complaining about previous messages. When you have a couple hundred contacts, it really can get quite ridiculous at times on days when a popular joke or meme is making the rounds.
So, I would like to request that the BBM dev team seriously investigate adding a "Block Broadcasts" option - ideally on a per-contact basis, but I would settle for an all-or-nothing solution as I'm willing to sacrifice the 1% of useful messages I get if it spares me the disruption of the other 99%. If my own contact list is anything to go by, I'm not the only one who would be hugely grateful for this to be implemented as swiftly as possible, or am I the only grinch in the building?
Please post the web link to the Ericsson W518a To Turn Off Shake Feature. The music plays at random times. I would like the link to help me understand why I cannot find the INFO in a Google search.
