Today my phone started reading my emails out loud as they arrived. I don't think I changed any settings, but I can't make it stop! I have tried pulling my battery and it still happens when it's set to silent.

I have my phone always on the LOUD profile and its fine one second but the next i will not hear any texts, emails, facebooks, calls, alarms, ect. it will just vibrate and only vibrate. i literally have to pull the battery out to reboot the system to get it back to normal.

I have gone to the settings tab and tried to add my email and the phone either freezes or goes back to the main setting page. I have tried wiping the phone, doing hard resets and nothing is working.

I try to send it to my own email address as well, I also only receive symbols, like question marks. I'm using rogers but I don't think it has anything to do with the carriers because it was okay before.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm reading a text and I get two texts while I'm reading. They pop up below the loaded conversation, at the bottom of the screen. I can see who they are from and the first line of the message. When I return to the main text window however, the new texts are nowhere to be found, they have disappeared.
This is pretty frustrating--were they just glitchy re-sends of previous texts? Should I text the people who sent them and say, hey, did you send me a text today, because if you did, it disappeared?...

I'll be sending or reading a received text or reading through some old ones, and the messaging service will crash, I'll then open handcent and the same thing will happen. it will come up with the message "the application has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" with options force close or wait, I'll select force close, re-open it and it comes up again.

I have two email accounts. A gmail account (personal) and an exchange account (work). I really dislike the stock email app so I switched to TypeMail. I really like the layout and the unified inbox; however, more often than not read emails on my computer, and doing so doesn't clear notifications on my phone. This is something I never had a problem with on my iPhone. Reading emails on my computer generally doesn't make them appear as read IN the TypeMail inbox on on the TypeMail widget either. I have to refresh. This is true for both email accounts.
I am receiving emails both in Italian and English and I was wondering whether I can have Siri switching from one to the other language when I ask her to read mails.

work around for reading emails in landscape mode in full screen without a list of all the emails on the left side.
This is a real irritation when you want to read an email in full screen mode. I really cannot believe that I am having to ask this question in the first place....

They usually disappear within about 45 minutes of receiving them. I've done a hard reset and I have about 160 MB of memory free but it still keeps happening. I use Outlook to check my email but this happens even if my computer is off so Outlook isn't running.

Earlier today my Blackberry Bold 9780 (6.0 bundle 1306) stopped receiving emails. The first thing I tried was rebooting by removing the battery, but this didn't work. I was looking through some other forums and it was suggested that the facebook app might be the problem. I checked the facebook app and nothing would load, so I uninstalled it but this didn't improve anything. I also unistalled all other 3rd party applications at this point.I then saw that someone else had lost their email becuase their phone wiped their password. I tried to access my email account management to see if this had happened, but was unable to do so. Instead I got a message saying 'Your device had a problem connecting to the server'.
The next thing I tried was the t-mobile BIS site. I accessed this via my computer and it said I needed to be on my hand held device. I tried to access the device's browser and it couldn't connect. I get the message "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider."At some point after I was aware that I'd stopped receiving emails I went on the web to see if this was working, and it was. Unfortunately, I not sure if this was before or after the cull of apps. I also tried update the software for this device, but it told me it was up to date

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using personal pop3 email on my Blackberry 8520 without any problems then suddenly I'm seeing the same email arrive more than once in my Blackberry inbox. This started just a few days ago. Sometimes an email will arrive just twice but sometimes up to SEVEN times each separated by three to six minutes. Picking up emails with my outlook client there is only ever one email.
I deleted my email from the Blackberry and recreated it - but with no success. It does not affect all emails either. Two emails arrived overnight - one is duplicated, one is not.
I've had a BB for just about ever now - but I've never seen this before. I just added a new email acct to my phone and whenever I send messages (with just that account) I get a copy in my inbox as an unread message. The email goes through to the recipient and everything, but whenever I send from this account, I get a copy. Any idea why this could be happening? I've done resets, test emails and everything, nothing has seemed to work.I have a VZW BB Curve 3G 9330.I'm on BB OS 6.It's the third email account on my phone.I have done a soft reset a couple times already.

Now if I use the 'forward' option I don't even get my contacts list and if I put an email address in the message is only saved as a DRAFT and there is no SEND option. It happens with other blackberry models too -
