Whenever I send an MMS to multiple people at the same time, it seems to create some sort of group conversation in which everyone can see everyone elses reply and text messages.This is really annoying!! I had a Droid 3 before I exchanged it for an X2, and I'm pretty sure you were able to turn it off within the messaging app's settings menu. However, that option seems to be missing on the X2?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn two occasions now, I've sent a text message to a group using the Verizon message app. The first time, some contacts were in my contact list and others weren't. I entered their numbers putting a space after them. I send the message, and see the following: sent to some.
I then added all numbers to my contact list. The second time I sent a text, I just kept going back to the contact list and adding each person to the text. I sent it out, and again it says: sent to some.Why can I not send a group text?
I am having trouble trying to send a group text.
Text icon not available when looking at groups under people. Groups are not available in text messaging when searching contacts.
On my BlackBerry 9930 i could set up groups in my contacts and forward or email those groups. I haven't been able to forward emails to groups on my Razr Maxx and i am dissapointed that i don't have that option.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately I got the ICS update a couple of weeks ago. I use my Razr Maxx as a business phone and since the update I can no longer email 'groups'. I have deleted the groups and entered them again....I have spent HOURS on the phone with Motorola and Verizon and all they keep doing is guessing at the cause. Motorola actually remotely accessed my phone and tried to figure out why this isn't working now with NO LUCK! I should be able to enter the group name in the To: and the group pull up. But it appears as though someone has FAILED to enable this simple function. Why in GOD's name even have 'groups'. I could do this on my blackberry in 2002. What a failure.
To be clear.This was no issue until the ICS update.it doesn't work on either Gmail or the Corp Exchange acct.This is clearly a failure and will take some type of update to fix.
Who thought it would be a good idea to have auto group messaging?? If I recieve a group message it automatically responds to all in the group... then KEEPS doing it??Yes, I have the default set to Individual rather than group, but it still responds to the entire group. As a business man, do you think that is a good ides??? Since when is "Resopnd All" ever a good strategy for promotioon and prudent privacy??

The wonderfully useful & simple Sticky Note, and the neat & simple Weather widget, and I just discovered the Alarm-Timer is now just an alarm (no timer) and is without the increasing volume feature, they are all gone in JB.

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in a group chat and am on a wifi network the messages never actually are delivered to my phone, i just get a little bubble that i can click that makes my phone download the message. When this happens ill get a whole bunch of undownloaded messages piling up and my phone keeps trying to process them i assume so it heats up to an extreme level. Has this issue with messages not downloading over wifi and if this causes there phone to heat up a lot too, this also causes my battery to drain extremely fast. I just tried downloading the google messenger app (not hangouts) to see if this problem would be solved and it still isnt working. And yes all my other apps are working on the wifi so its not an issue with the wifi.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter doing recent updates, the normal swipe-to-unlock feature of my Bionic stopped working. When I press the power button, I'm taken right to the home screen; I don't have to unlock. Even if I use Settings -> Location & Security and add a PIN or pattern lock, these do not work; each time I turn the phone back on, I go right back to the home. Sometimes the swipe screen flashes up but then disappears. The "Security lock timer" setting does not matter (i.e. it is set to 1 minute, but even after that, the phone is never locked. Occurs even after a hard reboot (shutdown, remove battery, power back up), although sometimes the swipe to unlock works for a short time. I've never rooted this phone or done much else beside install some apps from the Android Market. I do have Lookout running.

I have enabled the encryption feature on my phone's internal storage, and it seems to work well. However, it is working too well for me. I can't seem to access any of my data from my PC via USB. It all looks fine from the phone itself but I can't figure out how to pull the data in unencrypted form from the phone over to the PC.

I have searched every setting and can't find anything other than the spell check feature and it is off. Am I missing something? It also now does the short vibrate when I press a key. I have that feature off as well.
