I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off i guess an auto-complete feature? when i sign in one of my messengre apps it saves my username in the field. is there anyway to stop it from saving my username?

Now blammo, nadda!When I type an email (compose new, reply or forward), my email addresses from my contacts now longer auto-magically auto-fill. It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. I've spent more time trying to fix it than typing in the dern addresses at this point, it's just so blastedly inconvenient and time consuming with my excessive emailing for work. I'm ready to try a stick dynamite attached to the phone, but thought it was a lil extreme, so I'm asking for help first...
View 8 Replies View RelatedEver since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.
Why doesn't any of my autotext words work? I can't even type it to get my pin for my bbm?

When I delete emails on my BB, I noticed that the emails get downloaded again when I access my Mac Mail. Likewise, when I've deleted emails from my mac, they get downloaded again on my BB. How can I configure my BB and mac in such a way that the emails will not get downloaded from the server again after deleting?
For the Device Auto ON/Auto Off feature, there is a special settings for Weekend Days. any body knows what is the reference for weekend days in that screen as I live in Saudi Arabia where Weekend is Thursday and Friday! How could I adjust the work days in that screen
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter I installed the new operating system I lost a feature. Both my husband and I have the Tour. For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.

I like the system but everytime i pick my boss from the list when i type in his name, i get 2 other addresses that are NOT his email, but i had 3 months ago recieved an email from a website that sends news articles and it put his name in the sender but their address

How do I remove email addresses from the autocomplete list in iPhone or iPad Mail apps? I know how to do this in Mac OS X Mail. But the iOS Mail apps don't seem to provide a way to remove old, dead or unwanted email addresses that you don't want autocomplete to list when you start typing in an email address.

There is an auto complete dictionary editor available from Beta labs, but is incompatible with the E6. I seem to remember that the trick in earlier versions of Symbian phones was to connect the phone in USB mass storage mode and then edit a file. Don't remember the name of the file at the moment. Does any one remember this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedNormally i can start typing some letters on the homescreen and the phone will offer me the contacts that match these letters. Then i select the contact and press the button to call.
Since yesterday i can no longer use this function; When i type letters, i don't get any contacts. Only way to call my contacts now it to go into addressbook and select them there. I tried turning it off and on but this didn't resolve the issue.
Is there any way to selectively edit the auto-complete list that appears when one starts typing in an email address in the compose email screen?
I understand that the feature can be turned off but can individual entries be removed from the list?
I send messages thru Skype and Test Message apps, in foreign language that is not listed as supported and autocomplete forces the words from English in my messages. Is there a way to disable that?

While messaging my friend on the Android system messager, I was talking to another friend on Viber. So, since I don't have a bluetooth or headset, I would periodically bring the phone down from my ear and respond to the message. The problem is, if I was still on the message screen and brought the phone back up to my ear to continue talking on Viber, the phone auto dials my friend on the messaging screen. So I accidentally dialed the friend I was messaging several times before I realized what was going on.

Once I transfer language from eng to other language with the keyboard shortcut (alt+enter ) the auto text stops working. Furthermore, the option box just disappears from the menu (options - text and languages ) !. Reset by battery removal fixes the problem.But, onces you repeat the above action the auto text complete disappears again...Some bug is there.... tried it with all 5 devices of my office.I contacted my provider- they were not aware of the problem and I demonstrated it to them. The Tour from Verizon has the same two themes that the Curve 2 has with one MAJOR difference. I can not find the "Today" option on the Tour. On the curve it is as simple as going to the layout option, but I can not find this option on the Tour. What am I missing? Is there a trick, or did they really not add a Today feature to the defaults for the Tour?

I've used different charges including docking station and I have ao tried to connect it to my laptop to do a restore but iTunes won't detect it. It didn't get wet and I've not had this problem previously. I've tried to do the hard reset (home and sleep button).

I purchased the Sprint Blackberry Tour 9630 (without camera) the other day. When I went to plug it into my computer yesterday to back up my info, etc. it prompted me to upgrade to 5.0.0.484 from 4.7 (I believe.)Question - after I upgraded, the lock device feature went away. I usually use the left convenience key to lock it. However, the icon is no longer there and I no longer have the option available in the keyboard/screen section. PLEASE HELP! I need to be able to lock my device.
