I can't undo autolock. If I go to:Tools > Settings > General > Security > Phone and SIM card > Phone autolock period and change from "User defined" to "None" I get an error "Unable to unlock phone".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia N86 8MP. Tried to send a picture and on the question how to send it by mms or e-mail, I chose e-mail, although I had not created any e-mail account before. Since then, the phone tries unsuccesfully to send the e-mail, diverts my calls to a default number (and I cannot deactivate diversion) and exhausts the battery. Tried switching off, remove sim card battery and memory card, restore defaults but nothing worked. Can anybody give a hint how to cancell this e-mail action? I cannot find any outbox folder to delete this e-mail.

I tried it yesterday, and it's true. I don't know about anybody else, but I thought that if I locked my phone....I locked all aspects of it.

When I went to plug it into my computer yesterday to back up my info, etc. it prompted me to upgrade to 5.0.0.484 from 4.7 (I believe.)Question - after I upgraded, the lock device feature went away. I usually use the left convenience key to lock it. However, the icon is no longer there and I no longer have the option available in the keyboard/screen section. PLEASE HELP! I need to be able to lock my device.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a new Galaxy S5 (first Galaxy S anything!) a few weeks ago and I love it. Unfortunately, however, I discovered a very annoying feature just now. While messaging my friend on the Android system messager, I was talking to another friend on Viber. So, since I don't have a bluetooth or headset, I would periodically bring the phone down from my ear and respond to the message. The problem is, if I was still on the message screen and brought the phone back up to my ear to continue talking on Viber, the phone auto dials my friend on the messaging screen. So I accidentally dialed the friend I was messaging several times before I realized what was going on.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am currently experiencing an intermittent fault with my wife's N97 mini phones, where, unexplainable, it "locks up" and prevents any functions other than the Home screen. It eventually indicates that it has run out of memory and to close applications. There are no applications running and the only way to clear this fault is to remove the battery temporarily, and then replace it and turn the phone back on. All is good until the next "lock-up", usually within 1 - 2 weeks. We were advised to update the software, but this has not made any difference. My own N97 mini has not had this fault occur to date.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere seems to be a bug with remote locking on the E5 (where you send a text message with a pre-defined keyword to lock the phone if lost/stolen, etc) - it works, but then keeps requesting the lock code when switched on, even after it has been entered correctly. Disabling remote locking stops lock code request at startup but then you can't lock it remotely! Re-enabling remote locking makes the problem continue, even if lock code is changed in the mean time.Nokia customer services were useless and didn't understand what I was talking about.

I just had a "lock up" event and the flash bulb turned on by itself and stayed on until I removed the battery. Very slow to get to camera mode as well, sometimes up to ONE MINUTE before it starts up.

Unfortunately when I receive the lock SMS on my S60 device it does not work. Except, on occasion it will just lock up solid, not respond to any input, and not communicate with either phone. Only solution is to power off and back on again, at which point it works fine again.
Seems to be getting a bit more frequent too. No real indicator as to when it's going to happen, it just does.
Just noticed that my new Nokia E7-00 has automatic locking function. When phone is idle for 60mins it will ask you to input unlocking code.
I don't like this, so I to Menu - settings - phone - phone management -security setting - phone and SIM card . There is a setting for delay for automatic locking. It is 60mins. But when I try to go and select that locking is not used, I get a message saying that you can't disable this function.
My 701 running on belle fp1 doesn't turn off the display after locking the phone?It's just keeps the display always on.Restarting solves the problem but this is happening again and again.

But I can't find in my settings of the phone how I'm able to activate this. I always have to push lock when I have closed the phone and it would be much easier if it locked auto.

View 7 Replies View RelatedEither when making a call or receiving one, the screen goes black so you can't answer or hang up. Pressing any of the keys makes no difference whatsoever.
Once the caller cancels the call, the screen lights back up. It happens whether the keypad is locked or not.
Really strange, it's only intermittent but really annoying when you can't answer your phone?
When i lock the phone with the slider on the right side, the screen used to go black (or any screensaver would go on, if activated).Suddenly, when locking the phone, nothing happens. the screen dimms a little bit, but it's still on. It doenst matter weather i activate any kind of screensaver, the display always stays on (the keys are locked, i also see the locked sign in the menu bar). When i restart the phone, nothing changes.Only when I take out the battery for a while, the screen saver comes back up again. Everything seems to be working fine, until the next restart. Then the same problem happens again.
Is this a known bug (couldn't find anything on goole)? Am I doing anything wrong? It's driving me really crazy to see my Display on all the time (I also don't want to take out the battery after every restart).I also have to say that this happens to me on FP1 and FP2, even on a 2nd phone.
I have two problems with my new E52 (although I do not have other problems described on this forum). So:
1. I wanted to make E52 work like s40 phone in terms of functions arrangement and, long story short, now Menu button is under middle navigation button (Menu is the first icon in the icon shortcuts on the desktop). Under left function key I have Profiles. Because of that I can't lock the keypad the way it was designed which is left_function_key-right_function_key. I know that I can lock it by using on/off button but that is not very convenient.Is there any way to define other keypad locking sequence? For example like the old phones "Menu" + "*" ?
2. Second problem concerns calendar. I tried to synchronize it with Outlook via OVI and something went wrong. Right now I have many entries doubled and some of them finish in 2030. The option to delete before date in E52 does not work. How can I clear the whole calendar?
