Nokia CK-200. Installed with ISO cable kit, external mic. Works fairly well, no major complaints.
Except, on occasion it will just lock up solid, not respond to any input, and not communicate with either phone. Only solution is to power off and back on again, at which point it works fine again.
Seems to be getting a bit more frequent too. No real indicator as to when it's going to happen, it just does.
Since Thursday my BB9700 has not been receiving emails regularly. I may get one large batch if e mails a day . However I am getting face book notifications as normal. I have contacted my provider T Mobile who said there is an issue with the Blackberry server currently and they could not help. I have not heard anything about this is this true or are T mobile trying to pass the blame? I have not changed any settings on BB 9700, I am receiving the e mails on my desktop pc. Can someone please give me some advise on how I can resolve this issue/
View 1 Replies View RelatedI first noticed that while I was sending a text message, there are times where I press on the screen to hit a letter, and nothing happens. The letter doesn't show up on the screen. This issue only occurs for a half second or second, since the next letter I hit is shown on the screen. When I finish typing a three page text, and look back through it, there are always 3-5 words that are missing a letter due to this issue.
At first I thought this issue was limited to texting, but I noticed the same thing occurring while using the calculator. Every so often, as I’m hitting numbers to put into the calculator, when I hit the screen to input a number, nothing happens. When I hit the screen a second or so later, it then works. I have also noticed something similar while playing games on my phone.It appears that either my phone is freezing for a second or so on a regular basis, so that it becomes non responsive, or that my screen doesn’t work for a second or so on a regular basis.
My new Motorola Droid Razr has had an issue from day one, the data connection ramdomly but on at least a daily basis the phone looses it's data connection. A hard re-boot has solved these issues so far, until today.
I was told that a software update to solve this issue is already in the works. When will it be available??
My new Nokia 700 cannot play all video that played perfecly on N8. Why? I hoped new more poverfull hardware can handle more codecs. Very disappointed. Any chance to upgrade from nokia firmaware?

Yesterday it rebooted twice within 3 hours. I do not have it rooted, and have very little 3rd party software installed. I know this is a common issue with admirals, has anyone found anything to lessen how often their phone reboots?

However one thing I have found is that, unlike my old Samsung Monte, I can't assign individual test alert tones on a contact basis so that all have the same alert. Looking through forums it seems the way to go is to use a separate app that will do that and seems that there are three mainly recommended - chomp sms, handcent sms and Go SMS Pro. So I have two questions, firstly does anyone have recommendations as to which may be the better to go for of the three or have a better sugegstions. Secondly anything I need to do when installing an app on an android phone, probably a dumb quetion to some but I'd like to have use of my phone for more than a week before managing to blow it up
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently experiencing an intermittent fault with my wife's N97 mini phones, where, unexplainable, it "locks up" and prevents any functions other than the Home screen. It eventually indicates that it has run out of memory and to close applications. There are no applications running and the only way to clear this fault is to remove the battery temporarily, and then replace it and turn the phone back on. All is good until the next "lock-up", usually within 1 - 2 weeks. We were advised to update the software, but this has not made any difference. My own N97 mini has not had this fault occur to date.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThere seems to be a bug with remote locking on the E5 (where you send a text message with a pre-defined keyword to lock the phone if lost/stolen, etc) - it works, but then keeps requesting the lock code when switched on, even after it has been entered correctly. Disabling remote locking stops lock code request at startup but then you can't lock it remotely! Re-enabling remote locking makes the problem continue, even if lock code is changed in the mean time.Nokia customer services were useless and didn't understand what I was talking about.

I just had a "lock up" event and the flash bulb turned on by itself and stayed on until I removed the battery. Very slow to get to camera mode as well, sometimes up to ONE MINUTE before it starts up.

I don't like this, so I to Menu - settings - phone - phone management -security setting - phone and SIM card . There is a setting for delay for automatic locking. It is 60mins. But when I try to go and select that locking is not used, I get a message saying that you can't disable this function.
My 701 running on belle fp1 doesn't turn off the display after locking the phone?It's just keeps the display always on.Restarting solves the problem but this is happening again and again.

View 7 Replies View RelatedEither when making a call or receiving one, the screen goes black so you can't answer or hang up. Pressing any of the keys makes no difference whatsoever.
Once the caller cancels the call, the screen lights back up. It happens whether the keypad is locked or not.
Really strange, it's only intermittent but really annoying when you can't answer your phone?
When i lock the phone with the slider on the right side, the screen used to go black (or any screensaver would go on, if activated).Suddenly, when locking the phone, nothing happens. the screen dimms a little bit, but it's still on. It doenst matter weather i activate any kind of screensaver, the display always stays on (the keys are locked, i also see the locked sign in the menu bar). When i restart the phone, nothing changes.Only when I take out the battery for a while, the screen saver comes back up again. Everything seems to be working fine, until the next restart. Then the same problem happens again.
Is this a known bug (couldn't find anything on goole)? Am I doing anything wrong? It's driving me really crazy to see my Display on all the time (I also don't want to take out the battery after every restart).I also have to say that this happens to me on FP1 and FP2, even on a 2nd phone.
I have two problems with my new E52 (although I do not have other problems described on this forum). So:
1. I wanted to make E52 work like s40 phone in terms of functions arrangement and, long story short, now Menu button is under middle navigation button (Menu is the first icon in the icon shortcuts on the desktop). Under left function key I have Profiles. Because of that I can't lock the keypad the way it was designed which is left_function_key-right_function_key. I know that I can lock it by using on/off button but that is not very convenient.Is there any way to define other keypad locking sequence? For example like the old phones "Menu" + "*" ?
2. Second problem concerns calendar. I tried to synchronize it with Outlook via OVI and something went wrong. Right now I have many entries doubled and some of them finish in 2030. The option to delete before date in E52 does not work. How can I clear the whole calendar?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
