I updated my g3 to iOS 5.1.1 today and am now unable to regular SMS texts, but can still send imessages. I tried reseting the network settings, reseting the phone, and have made sure that the SMS option is on in the settings... and still I can't send regular SMS.

So theres something going on with iMessage. I send an iMessage but after some time i see that was sent out as a regular text message ive had friends from around the globe say that the same thing is happening with them.

I do not have an unlimited texting plan, so this means it counts against my 200 text limit. Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a setting I need to adjust?

Except, on occasion it will just lock up solid, not respond to any input, and not communicate with either phone. Only solution is to power off and back on again, at which point it works fine again.
Seems to be getting a bit more frequent too. No real indicator as to when it's going to happen, it just does.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy small business has recently moved to a new dedicated server and after working fine at first, I am now unable to set up any of our mailboxes on any BlackBerry device (tried Torch, Bold, Curve) on any carrier (Rogers, Bell in Canada and T-Mobile, AT&T in US). I try the basic setup (email address and password) and then when that fails, the advanced settings (which are necessary as my email username is non-standard; it is always username+example.com when the address is username@example.com and the mail server is mail.example.com). After a long "Processing..." I am told "Invalid email address and password. ... If the error persists, contact "my server" The thing is, all of these mailboxes works fine in any other email client with the same settings (Outlook, Thunderbird, iPad, etc) and as I said, worked fine a couple of times on BlackBerry before now not working at all. In a basic sense I am the administrator of my server, though I have been on with my hosting provider's support and they are baffled as well. This problem is not happening on any of their other similar hosted servers, just mine. whether there is some process, some address, something at RIM that must be permitted to communicate with my mail server tha could potentially be blocked somehow. My default mail server is Dovecot (including the BlackBerry "Fastmail" service, which worked fabulously before this started)

On my old Blackberry Pearl I was allowed to setup Gmail in the same page. What do I need to do to get Gmail setup and running?I was told that it may take a few hours for the data stuff to kick in from Verizon. Does that have anything to do with not being able to set up Gmail? I do have a Blackberry data plan.

I have contacted my provider T Mobile who said there is an issue with the Blackberry server currently and they could not help. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy device runs on AOSIP Hammerhead 2.2 ROM with Solo Gapps. Everything was fine until 2 a couple of days back my device started rebooting at regular intervals. Sometimes when I unlock the screen it reboots, or which working with some application it reboots. After suggestions from some friends I did a dirty and clean flash as well and did a fresh flashing of the ROM + Gapps. But it still ain't resolving my problem.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI first noticed that while I was sending a text message, there are times where I press on the screen to hit a letter, and nothing happens. The letter doesn't show up on the screen. This issue only occurs for a half second or second, since the next letter I hit is shown on the screen. When I finish typing a three page text, and look back through it, there are always 3-5 words that are missing a letter due to this issue.
At first I thought this issue was limited to texting, but I noticed the same thing occurring while using the calculator. Every so often, as I’m hitting numbers to put into the calculator, when I hit the screen to input a number, nothing happens. When I hit the screen a second or so later, it then works. I have also noticed something similar while playing games on my phone.It appears that either my phone is freezing for a second or so on a regular basis, so that it becomes non responsive, or that my screen doesn’t work for a second or so on a regular basis.
I would like to set up email on my Torch 9800 but when I select email accounts in setup menu the next screen is enterprise activation and does not offer the regular internet email setup.
