Jun 21, 2010Since Thursday my BB9700 has not been receiving emails regularly. I may get one large batch if e mails a day . However I am getting face book notifications as normal. I have contacted my provider T Mobile who said there is an issue with the Blackberry server currently and they could not help. I have not heard anything about this is this true or are T mobile trying to pass the blame? I have not changed any settings on BB 9700, I am receiving the e mails on my desktop pc. Can someone please give me some advise on how I can resolve this issue/

Mar 8, 2010I'm having trouble with my internet. i can use my WAP browser but i do not see my regular internet browser, not even in the options menu. also my bbm does not work. i cannot send or receive bbms. i can send out emails but not receive them. my apps that connect to the internet will not work, ie berryweather, facebook, appworld. i get a message about contacting my provider and upgrading to a service plan that allows me to browse. all this just happened all of a sudden on this phone. i've tried reloading the OS back to the original .167, and numerous battery pulls. nothing seems to work. is there an outage or something? even my wifi wont connect to my internet at home. it says connected but its greyed out.

Aug 19, 2010I've been having problems finding the admin codes for my Corby Plus (B3410R). I've tried a few, one being *#6984125*#, but each time it produces a message that says "Not allowed". The purpose is to install java apps, so I need to update the Java DB, as I've found. I've tried simply using the .jar and .jad files, and making a link to them in a .html file, and both times I wasn't able to open them, giving a message saying the file type wasn't supported. Does anyone know if there is a new admin code that brings you to the menu the first code I mentioned for this phone, or do I need to flash the phone because of some crazy lock my carrier slapped on the phone?

Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?
And by the way, are other brands of phones this bad, what with setting up loops like this can't be broken. Or, like what I've read here and elsewhere, all the problems with the Lock Code? I mean, it seems Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and work on their user interface.

Jan 28, 2010I have an issue with a brand new Bold 9700. When receiving a text (SMS) the user's name is not displayed, just their mobile number details. All the details of the person are stored in my contacts on the phone, and if you click the options against the text message, it then figures out the name of the sender as it adds their name in the options to email, call, SMS etc.I went into the SMS options and initially saw that the "Show names" option was marked as "No". I thought, aha changed it to "yes" but this makes no difference.
My O/S is v5.0.0.344 (Platform 5.1.0.96)
Carrier is Vodafone in the UK
I did see other posts for updates, but these related to O/S version 4xx which seems to be a different version to mine (which also seemed strange as mine is a brand new phone), and so was kind of scared to try that on my O/S.

When I try to check that settings are right, i cannot because when I enter username and password I get a message: " The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters". May 2, 2012I've recently purchased a used 9900 and have gotten stumped on the following problem. The previous owner's emails are still coming into the general messages inbox.
Since I've gotten the device, I've done a full security wipe (multiple times), upgraded the OS to 7.1.0.402 (1333) and have gone through the service books without any success.
I've contacted the seller, who has in turn contacted Rogers Wireless to remove BIS service from his account (he switched to iphone) however, the messages from 2 of his internet based email accounts (Gmail & Yahoo) continue to be pushed to the 9900.
I've wiped the device (on-baord and via pc), I've re-entered by BBID, I've even attempted to access Rogers BIS activation page however, when I request the password to be resent, it send a blank field in the email.

I have 3 e-mail accounts going to this phone and each has a new password. I do not know what my user name is, I set it up 2 years ago...how do I retreive my username? when I click on "forgot password" it says the password has been sent to my phone, but I never receive it.

Feb 11, 2010I'm a brand new BlackBerry user! Got my first ever BlackBerry on Tuesday - and I'm loving it! The 9700 is a beautiful little thing.
But, how do I sign out of Gmail? I'm not sure if staying signed in will abuse my data usage (unlimited with Vodafone, but due to their fair use policy - it's technically 500MB).
I'm just using the 'built in' email tool to get my emails, not sure if there's a dedicated app I should be using, or even if this is considered an app... I know very little about BlackBerry's!
