1. When I try to reset an email account thru setup and inetrnet email, i get msg that user name is invalid. username must be at least 4 characters, mine is clearly more than this length.2. related problem on another email acocount. DOes not allow me to reply or forward with this msg: no message services configured, u will only be able to save draft.
I have two email accounts associated with my Blackberry Bold. Both worked fine. I then stopped receiving emails to one. When I try to check that settings are right, i cannot because when I enter username and password I get a message: " The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters". My user names is about 20 characters long.
I have been trying to set up my email to my blackberry curve 8530 however it wont allow me and tells me my user name in blank or invalid. it was set up on my last blackberry but wont transfer through to this one. As far am i am aware my email address in my user name but still wont take even when i have tried on the actual website from my lap top.

I just received my new phone from att (faulty trackpad). I used the device switch wizard, and now my meterberry and quicklaunch apps will not work. I keep getting an invalid registration code error. Do I have to repurchase these apps or is there a way to fix this?

I recently updated my blackberry software. EVerything worked fine, I has no problem updating. When I put my new sim card in (brand new sim, never been used), my phone registerd me on the verizon wireless network, even though I am livning in south africa with a south african sim card. I can send sms and make phone calls, but that it is! Before I did my sim swop and system update, everythin worked fine on this phone. I cant bbm, use the internet etc etc.I have tried everything. Tried to resend registerstation message, manually connected to 3G vodacom network and resent registration msg. I have called my service provider. I have rebooting. I even tryed restoring data from a recent backup i did when my phone worked, and that did nothing. EVERYTHING, and im on my final straw. I just want a working phone.
I am trying to talk a user through BES Activation. I have emailed the BES activation password to them, But I cant talk them through where to enter it in the phone.
I've been having issues with my calls failing for about a week or two now. It doesn't happen every phone call. But when it does, it seems to be at the 0:22 or 2:00 mark of the call. Quite strange. Once it happens, it continues every call afterward until i do a battery pull.
And since I updated to 5.0.0.681 a couple days ago, twice or three times it's said "Invalid SIM Card" and I have to reboot my phone. Not sure the reasoning behind this. I saw a couple threads in the Storm and Curve boards but, didn't see any solutions. So, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had similar issues.
I added my mail but it had a problem with pushing emails it can only send so I kept trying to remove and add it a lot then now it refuses to add it again saying invalid mail or password although iam sure they are correct and I tested them on my pc.

Please provide a valid email address to continue. Screen Name contains invalid characters or text." I need those app in blackberry world.
I have an issue with a brand new Bold 9700. When receiving a text (SMS) the user's name is not displayed, just their mobile number details. All the details of the person are stored in my contacts on the phone, and if you click the options against the text message, it then figures out the name of the sender as it adds their name in the options to email, call, SMS etc.I went into the SMS options and initially saw that the "Show names" option was marked as "No". I thought, aha changed it to "yes" but this makes no difference.
My O/S is v5.0.0.344 (Platform 5.1.0.96)
Carrier is Vodafone in the UK
I did see other posts for updates, but these related to O/S version 4xx which seems to be a different version to mine (which also seemed strange as mine is a brand new phone), and so was kind of scared to try that on my O/S.
I've recently purchased a used 9900 and have gotten stumped on the following problem. The previous owner's emails are still coming into the general messages inbox.
Since I've gotten the device, I've done a full security wipe (multiple times), upgraded the OS to 7.1.0.402 (1333) and have gone through the service books without any success.
I've contacted the seller, who has in turn contacted Rogers Wireless to remove BIS service from his account (he switched to iphone) however, the messages from 2 of his internet based email accounts (Gmail & Yahoo) continue to be pushed to the 9900.
I've wiped the device (on-baord and via pc), I've re-entered by BBID, I've even attempted to access Rogers BIS activation page however, when I request the password to be resent, it send a blank field in the email.

I have 3 e-mail accounts going to this phone and each has a new password. I do not know what my user name is, I set it up 2 years ago...how do I retreive my username? when I click on "forgot password" it says the password has been sent to my phone, but I never receive it.
I am not able to setup my email. Because I forget user id. When I write the user id that I remember its keep tell me user id blank please enter user id. How to reset user id?
Only after the action did i remember that i had my bank details on their in the blackberry app store. i went round to delete the info and it wasnt simple. after reading the forums and seeing how to erase the info i am concerned about the message underneath the erase option which states you will not be able to email etc. from this device again.Does this mean until she creates a new blackberry ID for herself ?
