View 7 Replies View RelatedI just received my new phone from att (faulty trackpad). I used the device switch wizard, and now my meterberry and quicklaunch apps will not work. I keep getting an invalid registration code error. Do I have to repurchase these apps or is there a way to fix this?

I am trying to upgrade my BB Bold 9700 via the blackberry automatic web site. I also have downloaded the 9700 software from TMobile. I have upgraded and restored my BB9700 3x now and each time after upgrading, it prompts that my SIM card is invalid, and thus I do not get any service. I can restore my BB9700 to an older version, then everything works just fine. I don't get why I am unable to upgrade to the newest 5.0 software though?

I've tried the upgrade via TMobile's bbugrade site as well...
All tries do the same, my SIM card after the upgrades is "Invalid"...Does anyone have any answers on how to fix this, or do I have to stay with the older versions to keep my phone working.
Made the huge leap from a crappy reg phone to the 9700 a month ago. Its been sweet till all the errors started happeneing. Was hoping someone could help me out.
Here are symptoms as I've noticed them:
1) Wouldn't get audible notifications anymore. Now alerts, no alarms, no rintones,no nothing. Went to my ringtone/alert settings and did "TRY IT" to test a sound. The message I got was something about invalid filename. I got this msg even for sounds native to the bb device!
I did a battery pull, then all was good
2) Same issue kept re-occuring and also noticed my battery would be 75% full when I went to bed. Then like RED (5%) when I woke up. The device was also HOT! I battery pull again. Voila! (Until the next time it happens)
3) Press voicedial button. Then it says "scanning contacts, please wait" it gets to 100% and does nothing. Even after an hour.
Anyone know whatts going on? The only thing I changed during this time frame was the SD card (2GB to 8GB). So I switched back to the old card. Issues still exist. I even deleted soduku (buddy told me to try this) but it didn't help.
I've seen some fixes for this error on other OS versions, but none specifically for 7.0 on the Blackberry Bold 9930. I was trying to download My Verizon Mobile and got this error.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my blackberry software. EVerything worked fine, I has no problem updating. When I put my new sim card in (brand new sim, never been used), my phone registerd me on the verizon wireless network, even though I am livning in south africa with a south african sim card. I can send sms and make phone calls, but that it is! Before I did my sim swop and system update, everythin worked fine on this phone. I cant bbm, use the internet etc etc.I have tried everything. Tried to resend registerstation message, manually connected to 3G vodacom network and resent registration msg. I have called my service provider. I have rebooting. I even tryed restoring data from a recent backup i did when my phone worked, and that did nothing. EVERYTHING, and im on my final straw. I just want a working phone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with my calls failing for about a week or two now. It doesn't happen every phone call. But when it does, it seems to be at the 0:22 or 2:00 mark of the call. Quite strange. Once it happens, it continues every call afterward until i do a battery pull.
And since I updated to 5.0.0.681 a couple days ago, twice or three times it's said "Invalid SIM Card" and I have to reboot my phone. Not sure the reasoning behind this. I saw a couple threads in the Storm and Curve boards but, didn't see any solutions. So, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had similar issues.
I added my mail but it had a problem with pushing emails it can only send so I kept trying to remove and add it a lot then now it refuses to add it again saying invalid mail or password although iam sure they are correct and I tested them on my pc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to a new Bold 9900 in November with T-Mobile, and went to Dubai for winter vacation in late December. I frequently visit there and have a local SIM card, and previously I used an unlock code from the internet to unlock my old Bold 9700 so that it accepts the Dubai SIM card (and for the past year and a half I been using this unlocked Bold). I tried doing the same thing like I had done before this time around with my new Bold 9900, but like an **bleep** that I am, I used up all ten MEP code tries with the device, and now the phone network is blocked. Every time I put in either the Dubai or T-Mobile USA SIM card, it says on the top "Invalid SIM Card". Also after rebooting, it always asks me that I need an unlock code to unlock the card, but when clicking "yes", it just does not do anything, same thing goes with clicking "no." Now that I am back in the US again, the US T-Mobile SIM card still does not work with the phone. If anyone knows what the right procedures are to go about getting my blackberry working again and getting the network block to go away so I can start using my T-Mobile SIM Card?when I go to the SIM Card settings on the device, it reads: SIM: Disabled Network: Blocked Network Subset: Disabled Service Provider: Disabled Corporate: Disabled Once again?
