bold 9900. tried signing up for a new blackberry id, but after entering all data and clicking sign up, it only says "cannot sign up for blackberry id" already tried with different emails account. is it problem with device?

I put in my correct email address and password but it says either my email or password combination is wrong.. So i reset my password tried it all again and it still doesnt work! I am getting so frustrated because my phone wont work without me putting those details in! Another thing that puzzles me is when i sign in online its fine?!

Now whenever she goes to her contacts a message pops up saying Sign In or Sign Up to OVI. She's been on the phone now with Nokia for 2 hours trying to resolve.Anyone out there have any ideas?

After getting new Balckberry bold 9900. I can't sign to Blackberry ID. The phone offer only the register option. Yet I have the balckberry ID accoun for like 3 years.

But, how do I sign out of Gmail? I'm not sure if staying signed in will abuse my data usage (unlimited with Vodafone, but due to their fair use policy - it's technically 500MB).
I'm just using the 'built in' email tool to get my emails, not sure if there's a dedicated app I should be using, or even if this is considered an app... I know very little about BlackBerry's!
I had this globe sign and number one besides it on the main screen, I dunno how it got there! anyone can help getting rid of it?

I have spoke at great lengths to Telus Tech support and they cant figure out why it is happening. Have reinstalled it at least 10 times. It has been off Blackberry world or of microsoft itself. Msn can have its issues.I can sign in on everyone elses phone...BUT MINE! No one who has tried could sign in on mine. They are still researching why it is not working.My yahoo works fine!

View 2 Replies View Relatedi was watching a video on my blackberry bold and the battery was almost dead, the LED was flashing and there was the red sign of the low battery but i ignored that and kept watching the video then suddenly the blackberry freezes and the loading sign appears i take out the battery and put it back in (hard reset)
but it didnt turn back on!! nothing happened! the screen remained black and the LED didnt flash the normal red color at the first of booting .i waited overnight with the battery out.. but the next day it still didnt boot and the LED didnt even turn red:S:S..then i tried charging it.. but nothing happened .. and the LED didnt turn red.

I am trying to set up my email using POP. the problem is in "login information" my username suppose to be "abc@blabla.com" but it only appear as "abc" thus my blackberry is unable to sign in to the email that i want to set up; and i cannot edit this area because it is set automatically by my device. Before i used Curve 8310 with v4.5 i can sucessfully create similar account becuase the login appear to be "xyz@blabla.com" instead of just "xyz" in username space. I hope you can undestand my problem,

I quickly took out the battery and dried it off and threw it into a bowl of rice and let it sit there for about a full day. Now when I tried turning it on, nothing happened.... didn't even boot, nothing. After about 2 days of it sitting in rice, it actually shows a RED X through a battery and I'm not sure what that means... does it mean the battery is dead, or there is severe water damage. The way I thought about it is if the screen shows an image... then the phone must be working... because its displaying an image, so I'm leaning towards thinking the battery must be completely depleted.

I've removed the battery, put it back in and it still wont switch on. All it show is a dead battery sign. I've been charging it for the past 4 hours and it still shows the same sign. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I had recently downloaded and installed the new os 7.1.0.267 os from SK Telecom form the software download page of on blackberry site to my bold 9900. Upon doing that i was able to access the new mobile hot spot feature and even set it up for use after calling my service provider for the APN which is Lime Jamaica. I even tested it by using another phone which detected it. However sometime afterwards about 30 minutes to an hour later while listening to music my headset got pull out by mistake and upon putting it back in realized music wouldn't start playing back after pressing the side button. Unlocked the phone only to see the play icon highlighted in music player but nothing wouldn't register when clicked with trackpad or touch screen. plus got a message on the screen saying that device media player was busy, which continued for a while. Did a battery pull afterwards which fixed the problem. However a few hours later when i decided to show a friend the new feature and test it by connecting his phone, upon accessing the connections menu the mobile hot spot option was missing even in networks and connections. essentially it disappeared form the phone the only apps on the phone besides the default ones was wikitude and whatsapps. Even after a factory reset it didn't return. Did a clean wipe of the os and installed the os again upon which the hot spot option returned only to disappear again after about a few minutes at which time no extra apps was insatlled just the default ones. Have no idea whats causing this and whats worse the 7.1.0.267 download has been removed from the Sk Telecom link.
