I want to be able to "select all" e-mails and then mark them as read, rather than going through and selecting each of them individually. Is there any way to do that since my phone downloaded every e-mail known to man that was not deleted from my accounts
View 7 RepliesThe SG-II's built-in mail app has a most annoying "feature":it obviously marks mails that it downloaded as read on the POP server. I would prefer to have them still left as "unread", so when I access my account via Outlook later, they would be downloaded there as well. I realize, that this would mean that I have to re-read them (or mark them as read) again but I would prefer to have ALL my mails in Outlook as well. Currently, if I read my mails via the SG-II but want to keep one of them also in Outlook (e.g for archiving purposes), I have to resend the mail to my second account (which is only polled by Outlook). I find this is most stupid and annoying!
PS.: I do NOT want to switch to IMAP for other reasons and my POP account has worked as I described with Windows Mobile before, so I don't see, why I can't have that same behavior with my Andorid device.
Using K9 to monitor my msn.com account, when I read an email on the PC it does not change the status of the email on the Droid to show as read. Same issue the other way, if I read an email on the Droid the same email shows as not read on the PC.
Is there a setting some place within K9 that will mark the PC email as read and allow the sever to mark an email as read on the Droid?
New Turbo, running 4.4.4 and can't find a way to mark all mail as being read. Haven't been able to find an answer anywhere.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSince the last automatic Droid Razr update a few weeks ago it is very complicated to mark all unread emails as read! It was easy to do before but after this update it seems not to work! If go to my main email account I can sort the email by date, unread, or other options. I select by unread. I then press the menu key and select "select all". Then some iconw appear in the bottom: a trash, a mail, and a flag. I select the mail one and it opens up and the word "mark read" appears but the messages don't clear as read. It used to work without issues before the update.

Question is: Is there a way to select all mails and mark them AS UNREAD AT ONCE!
I dont understand why the option above is not included. I think it makes sense, even i can decide by myself if holding or deleting messages/eMails :-/ Â

The problem is, i won't have the "Mark Perior Opened" button in the "options" and i don't want to update to the 6.0Bundle.
I'm using the default functionality in my new Tour 9630 (Sprint) to read my Gmail and Facebook messages, and there appears to be no way to 'mark all as read,' which I need since any changes I make to my Gmail messages (e.g., reading them so they are then marked as read) is not refleted in my Tour.How do I mark all the messages as read?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Certificate for my email address by Comodo. It is installed in Thunderbird on PC and iPhone and iPad with iOS 7.1.2.
Thunderbird on PC behaves like expected, i can send and read encrypted emails.
On iPad and iPhone i cannot read encrypted emails.
I imported my S/MIME Certificate via email attachment (p.12-File) and activated it in the mail section for my account. I also enabled signature and encryption function.Â
1. When i receive an email that is signed but not encrypted, the certificate of the sender is trusted & installed.
2. When i receive an email that is encrypted, the same sender is now shown in red color. I cannot read the email, because my profile allegedly does not contain my identitiy.
3. When i try to reply to the signed but not encrypted email (1.) then the message i send is signed but not encrypted, even though the address is shown in blue with a lock (which text info: encryption is possible).
4. When I send an encrypted email to my own account via ipad or iphone, i can read it on both ipad and iphone. This makes me think that the iOS Mail App uses S/MIME encryption a little bit different then Thunderbird.Â
All of this does not fit together. It think I correctly installed my certificate but there are problems in the Mail Program on iOS.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRandomly my phones sdcard will become "read only" and it won't save anything to it.In the past I've rebooted the phone to fix it but this time that didn't work. After removing the card to see if my pc would recognize it, which it did, I made a copy of it and put it back in my phone and restarted it and it's fine.....for now. I backed everything up but this is getting old now. Anybody else having this problem

To the right of the other apps on the SD card is a grayed out box. I cannot turn the green box into a gray box and I cannot turn the gray box into a green box by tapping on the box.
What does the green box indicate and what does the grayed out box indicate? What changes the box from green to gray and gray to green?

I don't like seeing a question mark when I get a call from someone not on my contact list. I think the Droid phones have a little green android creature that pops up on such calls, but this Motorola XPRT has a question mark. Something like the android creature would be better, or simply no picture at all. I can't find an app that will do this.

My question, is there a way to disable the app asking me if I want to mark my car's location when the phone is removed from the dock. My use case is when I get home, clearly I don't need to mark my car's location when I'm at home. The app opens and asks me if I want to mark my location. I also explored using Smart Actions to do this but no luck there either. You would think you could mark locations so the app knows by GPS location that you don't need to mark this location to find your car.
