Aug 27, 2014My iPhone "lost" the password to my email account. I tried reentering the password but no luck. Deleted account and reinstalled. Still said password was incorrect. I can log on to the account via the web so I know the log in is good and the account is working. I installed a daughter account on the phone and that went fine. Tried installing the troubled account on my iPad and got the same password incorrect. In addition I've done the following:Â
Called ISP tech support
Called Applecare
Gone to Genius Bar
Reset phone
Reset network settings
Restored phone from backup.
Checked for profiles
Made sure I was logged out of the account when installing
Checked settings in iCloud. email doesn't sync to cloud or computer.Â
Next thing to try is to see if I can get the account installed on an Android device.

May 27, 2012I have had my phone for ages and all of a sudden it will not connect to my work gmail account. It's telling me my user name or password is incorrect and even thought I make sure, shut the phone down and restart it, it still says the same. Mar 21, 2012Lets say if I have a new email i would like to use and would like to delete the old one off my iphone but it has all of my contacts on it, how do i transfer those contacts, notes, and calendars, to the new email account?
keep in mind that if i delete the email acount with the contacts, the contacts will no longer be on my phone as well as the notes. is there a way for me to transfer the contacts from the old email account to the new one so i can remove the old email account? too much spam.

Jul 13, 2010I am unable to set up email on my Nokia E72. When I am in the email setup wizard, I able to see list of email i.e. Ovi, Yahoo, Gmail. When I pick up Windows live hotmail to enter user ID and password, the email setup wizard takes me back to the previous screen that is in email setup wizard screen. It doesn't show any error message.
What i did already:Reinstalling the firmsoftware (031.023)Connecting whit a gmail and yahoo account (same result)

Nov 7, 2012I am a new user of BlackBerry (bold 9780). Since I have it I wasn't able to set up an Email account. When I click on "Email Accounts" in the setup, sometimes it brings me to the next step and sometimes nothing happens. In the case it bring me to the next step, when I click on "Internet Mail Account" it brings me back to the previous step. I have already contacted my provider and removed the battery several times but nothing changed.

Dec 4, 2011I am new to BB and have successfully set-up 2 of my email accounts. The 3rd email account that I am trying to set-up is a Godaddy hosted account (1 of the other 2 accounts I have set-up successfully set-up is also with Godaddy - - it is an "Exchange" hosted account whereas the one I am having problems with is a "pop' account).
The steps I am following include:
Go to "Internet Mail Account" Click on "set up another email account" Click on "other" Enter my Email address and password, and hit "Continue"
The message returns saying that "your device had a problem connecting to the server"?
I have called Godaddy and they referenced particular port settings but I cannot find anywhere in the "set-up" menu that I can set the ports. They also recommended contacting BB...
After many, many tries on my BB device, checking and rechecking my account settings on Godaddy and my Outlook client settings...I just cannot get this to work.

Nov 20, 2012I bought this phone approximately 2 months ago. The dealer claimed the phone was new but upon usgae of the phone everyday, I began to believe otherwise. I have a full 4G internet plan on my phone and when I tried to setup my email for the first time, I was unable to access the option on my phone. Everytime I selected "setup internet mail account" , nothing happened. It was like the option didn't exist.Upon calling my service provider, I was informed that someone had my phone before and had their plan on it and it somehow blocked my ability to setup or change the previous email options and that it can only be accessed if I get the email address of the previous user, which is impossible because I bought it thinking it was new without any previous records. I tried everything! Factory restore etc! Nothing works because the option is somehow disabled. Is it possible to somehow rectify this situation? There must be some history attached to the PIN of this phone.

Sep 26, 2012When I first got it, about nine months ago, I set up my two email accounts and they worked perfectly. Then, some weeks ago I stopped receiving emails and I couldn't send either. I ended up removing both email accounts and then I set up one of them, tried it and it worked. Then I went and tried to set up the second one but I haven't been able to do so since.I go to Setup > Email Settings > Add > Gmail (the account I want to set up is on Gmail). I write the correct email address and password and click on Next, it says it's "Processing, prease wait..." and then every time it says "Update Failed".
I've tried also choosing Other instead of Gmail when trying to add the second account but at the end it gives me the same error, "Update Failed". have the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 and I've looked there for an option to try and set up my second email account through the software but there just seems not to be such an option.'ve never had any other problem when it comes to the email or the internet connection in general.'ve been looking for a solution in the forum but I haven't found anything.

Mar 21, 2010I joined Nokia Messaging service, downloaded the last version software using my Nokia E71 phone. When I signed for the service it asked me for my email account details, so I could not put the settings manually. The hotmail account works fine, but the other account cannot send messages. I cannot change the outgoing settings using my phone and I cannot edit the information on the nokia messaging website.
The incoming server seems to be ok (mail1.doctors.org.uk) but I cannot change the server details : smtp2.realmail-asp.co.uk. My provider is Tmobile (they gave me this: smtp.t-email.co.uk) they were not helpful and told me that they mainly support blackberry. My email accounts were working fine until I installed Nokia Messaging. I find Nokia Messaging very professional for messaging, but unsure if I will be able to make it work.

Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

I set it up again in the Email Setup section, but its not working. I removed what I did and the gmail icon is still there, but doesn't work. Can anyone help? My IT dept rep is an absolute ***** and has done nothing to help me with this problem besides telling me "well, I guess you just can't use Gmail on this phone", which is absurd since I could use it on the old one, so I know BB supports it.
