I've spent just over a week looking for an answer, searching Google and forums.The screen is very dull on the main menu, to the extent that to see any data on it you need to be in a very dark room. The screen saver however is just as bright as it has always been, brighter in fact.
I've turned the screen brightness up to full but this made no difference. It is almost as if the back light has been turned off.Does anyone know how to turn the back light on or even any resolution of this so I can use the phone during the day.

Jun 8, 2012I don't use the Personal Hotspot feature on my iPhone 4S, and don't plan to in the future. I wanted to look at it in the Settings by going to General>Network<Personal Hotspot. However, once I did this, a new Personal Hotspot button has appeared on the main screen in Settings. Before, the first section of the main screen consisted of Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Notifications and Location Services. Now, it has Personal Hotspot in between Wi-Fi and Notifications. Is there any way to remove it from the main screen? (since I'm not going to ever use it)
