I don't like how my only way of finding help from apple is talking to a bunch of random ppl just like me. The area called "other" on my phones' memory (on the device summary in iTunes) keeps getting larger. what is in this area and how do I erase it?

View 4 Replies View Relatedso I was going to buy gta for my s5 I started to download it but I did not know that it would take up 2.4 GB wile I had like 1 GB so I did not have enough space and I would just get an error so I deleted tons of apps till I got 1.2 something GB when I tryed to download the app again it said it was downloading and would take 2.4 GB but I had 1.2 so once it reached 1.2GB/2.4GB it gave the not enough space error so, I checked to see how much space I had, well... i had 109 MB... yep. GG google playstore. GG. so I refunded gta (gives my money back AND uninstalls it) and checked back at my storage... still 109 MB. How do I delete this 1.2 GB unfinished file off my phone?? I looked all over my phone and can't figure it out. I am rooted on s5 Verizon by the way.

I have an iPhone 3GS, purchased in March of this year. It's worked great except one thing: twice so far my phone has been displaying full bars and EDGE while my mom's iPhone 3GS displays full bars and 3G. When this happens, I can make phone calls and send text messages, but I can't get on Safari or anything else that uses data.The first time this happened (about a month and a half ago), I just turned off my phone, removed the SIM card and put it back in, and let it sit, turned off, for about an hour. Then when I turned it back on, it was fine.This time, I have tried that to no effect. It's not simply that I have bad coverage where I'm at or no 3G because my mom's phone works fine. I recently updated to 4.0.1, if that makes any difference (my mom has not).Is there any fix for this I can try myself? Or should I take my phone into AT&T and let them deal with it?

My name is Ed and I'm a newbie. Please indulge the length of this first post as I have many issues. My goal is to get all my favorite music together to be played on my Storm, which I can also use to play through my home stereo system. So far ,there, the volume is erratic and there is some distortion.
I have copied CD's and downloaded MP3s and M4as to my computer. The downloads came zipped and when extracted, I put the folders in an iTunes file and deleted the artwork and was left with the zipped folders, which I put in a separate "downloaded zip files" folder.
(1)Can I delete these zips without losing my music? I installed the original Desktop Mgr with Roxio, didn't like it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled DM with no Media Mgr and downloaded iTunes for the second time. Meantime, I opened Windows Media Player to see what version I had and if I could use it with DM and it automatically retrieved my 700 songs.
(2)Are they hurting anything there being a duplicate of iTunes and if so, how do I get them out?
To the biggest problem: I also downloaded the BB Media Sync and when I used it to load my 700 songs to my phone, it did so for 650 of them (4.3GB) but then said I was out of memory so it didn't sync the last 50.The details showed me that I have about 3GB memory left on the phone but it is for pictures.I don't care if my pictures are on there or not, I want to be able to load 8GB of MUSIC.I used help and it said to go into DM, choose options, and reduce the memory allocated to something else, (like pictures).I did so and there was no way to do that. I tried clicking on everything and never saw any way to do what help said.
(3) How do I get DM to allocate all my 8GB available memory to music? I know I can buy a 16GB chip, but I'm afraid it's going to allocate 12GB of it to pictures.Also, and finally, it is showing 700 songs on the sync screen, but it's shaded. When I want to add,say, 10 more songs, how do I get them through the system and ADD to my phone.Does sync automatically not duplicate?I have Windows XP SP3, 9530 through Verizon, and am about a 3 out of 10 computer knowledge wise.I am going to play golf now, which presents, although completely different, an equally challenging activity.
I am noticing my Internet Sharing works on 4G or Edge, but LTE Kills it.
Before WP8, there used to be settings to turn off High Speed but I can't seem to find them in WP8 ...

When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?
Added the Magic Jack to my I-Phone but that created problems between where it rang and router so I used the 'remove from this device' in notifications and then deleted the app.
I have a nother Magic Jack with a different phone number but now when I load the app with a new install it goes back to the to the old number and won't let me put in the different number. When I delete the app it says 'will delete all data. So is the app holding the memory or the phone?

Is there a limit to how much catch an app can store before it starts deleting old garbage?
I find that my apps are constantly growing, and soon im out of storage even since i dont have that many apps.
My sisters iphone is even worse, she uses it every day and has to do a complete restore every other month or so because the apps are taking every last mb on the device. the programs/apps are up to over 5gb when in reality they are just about 1gb, the rest is just catches and other downloaded junk inside the app.
It cant really be that necessary to hook it up to the computer every other month to do a complete restore just to get rid of the catch??

I am using a Verizon BB 8330 (refurbished) with Appalachian Wireless.My data plan does not work with BIS or BES.App. Wire. shoots me the service books, but says that Verizon has some sort of lock in my phone that won't allow my phone to work online. I use opera mini 4.2 to access internet.I can not download any apps ota because I always get the message from blackberry that no browser has been configured.I can not download any apps with DM using an ota downloader because I can not find the 'URL to .jad' files. I have very little apps on my phone, and I regularly delete emails/sms/mms messages. Now when I go to take pictures it says I only have "7 Photos Remaining" when before it never said that. I sync pretty often, say every other day. I sync my 9800 desktop v6.0 with Outlook 2007. ( I run Win 7 64bit)If I make a change on my BB and then sync, the screen that pops up titled, "Changes Will Be Made to Organizer" list one change. I click on the SYNC button and the sync completes.Now if I make one change on my Outlook and then sync the same tables shows me the cumulative number of changes I made since I first installed the software, plus one, the one I just made. The number just keeps increasing.Sure enough the changes I'm making in Outlook are being successfully sync'ed on my BB, be it contact or calendar but something either isn't being cleared or it is actually re-syncing all the changes every time.
