I'm selling my E63 and so want to clear all my personal data. Removed the memory card and SIM. Done "Restore factory settings" on the phone menu. Done *#7370#. But still when I go into the phone search function, I can find the headers and email addresses of all my old emails that were on there! How do I purge the search results or just properly get rid of ALL my data on the phone?

When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?
Added the Magic Jack to my I-Phone but that created problems between where it rang and router so I used the 'remove from this device' in notifications and then deleted the app.
I have a nother Magic Jack with a different phone number but now when I load the app with a new install it goes back to the to the old number and won't let me put in the different number. When I delete the app it says 'will delete all data. So is the app holding the memory or the phone?

I counted once because I was trying to figure out why my iPhone was full when it shouldn't be, iTunes says my apps take up 9 GB's of space. Could this be stuff my apps have downloaded or something that I'm unaware of? It seems like I should have more than 4 and a half GB's left of space. How do I clear that invisible data from the iPhone?

2 weeks ago i put my iphone 4s (bought just a year ago) in to washing machine with clothes. It did work with rice but it did come on with 'Reviveaphone" kit. iPhone is charging and texts are coming through but touch screen not responding. So, I think I've lost the battle in getting my iphone back as it was. I'm going to buy a new iphone. But first I want to back up my data on old iphone to icloud - best way to do this? Also, I then want to delete all my personal data from old iphone - but not sure how to do this with iphone screen not working.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn on the cellular data option the personal hotspot function bar appears with the wording "Personal Hotspot" and the wheel appears and goes around and around forever. If I turn the iPhone off and back on (with cellular data turned on) then the personal hotspot bar appears with the wording "Set up Personal Hotspot" and not wheel spinning. When the wheel is spinning I assume that processing is going on and using battery, not good! By the way I do not use the personal hotspot function.

For the last 3 or 4 days my HTC One's BlinkFeed screen keeps failing to update. Even if I try to force it, nothing happens so I figure I may just need to clear its data as that seems to work with other apps, however I can't seem to find a BlinkFeed app when exploring the All Apps section of the device nor do I find some sort of clear cache option for it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy one week old e72 came with a scratch under the glass. I have been a bit worried that any pressure on the phone in the future might lead the screen to crack, so to be on the safe side I am having the handset replaced straight away by my mobile network. I am expecting a doorstep exchange in the morning, and they will collect the old phone all boxed up and provide a new sealed e72 in the box.So, I need to delete all my information from the handset and memory card. So far I have formatted the memory card and done a factory reset from the phone menu, then a factory reset as detailed in another thread I found on here (* +3 + call).

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife lost her N95 phone a few months ago. Since she was very happy with that model, I bought her another one, second hand. However, it turns out that the previous owner used this phone to look at pornographic websites. These sites are still in the browser history. One wrong click and one of these dirty websites opens.I've tried to erase the browser history using the "clear private data" option, but when I select "Go to web address", it still displays a list of urls pointing to these bad websites.Any suggestions how I can properly clear the browser history?

so I was going to buy gta for my s5 I started to download it but I did not know that it would take up 2.4 GB wile I had like 1 GB so I did not have enough space and I would just get an error so I deleted tons of apps till I got 1.2 something GB when I tryed to download the app again it said it was downloading and would take 2.4 GB but I had 1.2 so once it reached 1.2GB/2.4GB it gave the not enough space error so, I checked to see how much space I had, well... i had 109 MB... yep. GG google playstore. GG. so I refunded gta (gives my money back AND uninstalls it) and checked back at my storage... still 109 MB. How do I delete this 1.2 GB unfinished file off my phone?? I looked all over my phone and can't figure it out. I am rooted on s5 Verizon by the way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTonight I was in the gmail app doing a search through my work inbox. It showed me some results, but that wasn't old enough so I said "Load more". Repeated that step a few times and suddenly gmail crashed out ("Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped working"). Relaunching it ever-so-briefly makes the list of mail messages appear but then crashes again.
I completely powered off and rebooted - same thing happened when I opened gmail again.
I went into Settings -> Apps, selected Gmail and went to storage. Cleared the cache and then tried opening it -> same result.
Clear Cache, reboot before opening -> same result.
The Clear Data button appears enabled in the same green color as Clear Cache, however nothing happens when I click it. Clear Cache gets a shadow / ripple effect where I click it. Nothing like that on Clear Data, it's like it doesn't recognize it is "touchable".
I also note that when I go into the Gmail app (before going into the separate screen where Clear Data / Clear Cache are), that the Disable button and Force Stop buttons are both greyed out / disabled.
From the home screen, I tapped the button to bring up the list of open windows/apps and swiped Gmail off to close it that way, but again no change in behavior.
Phone is stock ROM. I did unlock the bootloader in anticipation of rooting it, but I ended up never going that next step and have just been taking the OTAs since then (am currently on 6.0.1, January 1 security patch level).
Upgraded today on work WIFI - went to amazon.com via Chrome on my S5 - his login data was there. Logged in, his CC information, address, etc. all accessible. He does not have access to my phone as I'm on a secure floor at work and my phone never leaves my pocket.
