Galaxy S5 :: Why Do Have Co-workers Personal Data Cached In Phone
Mar 13, 2015
Upgraded today on work WIFI - went to amazon.com via Chrome on my S5 - his login data was there. Logged in, his CC information, address, etc. all accessible. He does not have access to my phone as I'm on a secure floor at work and my phone never leaves my pocket.
I'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.
When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data? 2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?
I know some people are not aware that they can clear out cached data (for All Apps). Is it good to clear it out daily? I do realize that you may need to download the same data again say if you are using apps like Facebook and Zedge and many others.
I was experiencing sluggish performance on my s6, it was taking ages for my contacts to appear when trying to dial them, I fixed this by going on to apps>contacts>clear data and cached data. However it came at a price. many of my contacts have now disappeared. is there anyway i can restore them?
in order to perform a hard reset, the phone has to be turned off, and I can't do that because of the dead screen. My phone still has close to full battery though, so I'm waiting for it to drain off slowly... My question is, will the phone turn on automatically when I eventually charge it with a dead battery.
My E66 will be sold to a friend soon. I would like to know if there is a switch or some sequence of buttons that will restore the phone to a out-of-box condition, which no personal or past data inside ?
S6. When I click on my profile in the contacts app, it only lists my name and nothing else. There's another contact in the list with all of my detailed info, but there's no way for me to merge the two. My N5 would update my personal info based on my Google+ profile, but my S6 apparently isn't doing anything.
If you work for a government agency and enjoyed a discount on your Verizon bill well say goodby to it. I just saw where my automatic bill payment to Verizon jumped 18% and I called to ask why and was told that Verizon no longer gives discounts to gov employees. And as it is not part of your contract they tell me you have no recourse.
My one week old e72 came with a scratch under the glass. I have been a bit worried that any pressure on the phone in the future might lead the screen to crack, so to be on the safe side I am having the handset replaced straight away by my mobile network. I am expecting a doorstep exchange in the morning, and they will collect the old phone all boxed up and provide a new sealed e72 in the box.So, I need to delete all my information from the handset and memory card. So far I have formatted the memory card and done a factory reset from the phone menu, then a factory reset as detailed in another thread I found on here (* +3 + call).
I'm selling my E63 and so want to clear all my personal data. Removed the memory card and SIM. Done "Restore factory settings" on the phone menu. Done *#7370#. But still when I go into the phone search function, I can find the headers and email addresses of all my old emails that were on there! How do I purge the search results or just properly get rid of ALL my data on the phone?
I have run the update and something has gone bad. Not only I've lost all contacts, mails, SMS and so on, but I can't find anywhere the backup that Desktop Manager claimed to have executed while updating.
I'm selling one of my 3GS, it is jailbroken 3.1.2 and unlocked. What do I do to safely wipe out my personal information and not loose the jailbreak?I also want to make sure that it is ready for the buyer to use overseas.
My question here is,if I have the unlimited data plan on my iPhone 4S,can I add the personal hotspot feature without changing my data plan? I know that personal hotspot is an extra charge but i'd like to keep my unlimited data while still being able to use the personal hotspot.
When updating the software, do not send anything that destroy the users personal settings. And do not come with any BS that the programming system requires it. Now I will not accept any updates that require a lot of extra job from me to make safety copies and restore my personal info. No more.
I dropped my Motorla Atrix MB860 in the water. The touch screen does not work anymore but I would like to erase all my personal data that I had stored on the phone. Is there a way to erase all the data that I had stored on this phone without using the touch screen?
2 weeks ago i put my iphone 4s (bought just a year ago) in to washing machine with clothes. It did work with rice but it did come on with 'Reviveaphone" kit. iPhone is charging and texts are coming through but touch screen not responding. So, I think I've lost the battle in getting my iphone back as it was. I'm going to buy a new iphone. But first I want to back up my data on old iphone to icloud - best way to do this? Also, I then want to delete all my personal data from old iphone - but not sure how to do this with iphone screen not working.
When I turn on the cellular data option the personal hotspot function bar appears with the wording "Personal Hotspot" and the wheel appears and goes around and around forever. If I turn the iPhone off and back on (with cellular data turned on) then the personal hotspot bar appears with the wording "Set up Personal Hotspot" and not wheel spinning. When the wheel is spinning I assume that processing is going on and using battery, not good! By the way I do not use the personal hotspot function.
I want to transfer _everything_ from my Galaxy S3 to a new LG G3 (verizon version, btw, not rooted). I know that Lollipop has some ability, but I also want all the apps and app data, including acct passwords, wifi passwords, SMS, MMS, contacts, photos, etc.
So my friend borrowed my new s6 out of my car to make a phone call without me knowing and he left it on the back bumper. I didn't notice it missing until awhile after driving down a road going about 50 mph. I retraced my tracks and found it laying on the side of the road shattered and the screen wouldn't turn on. Any way to recover data from apps (for work) without having to do stuff in the phones settings.
Any way to get game data that is stored on my old phone (instead of online...) and I'm really struggling to find a solution. My old phone is a HTC XL and my new phone is the Galaxy S6. Neither phone is rooted. I've tried Helium, Datasync etc with no luck. I can't find the directory in my old phone for the location of my save files. How to move the files across? The game I'm mainly interested in is Immortals: Blood and Glory, I really dont want to have to restart 3 months worth of work...
I have Samsung Galaxy S5 and prefer to use the Gmail Android app, it works fine under wifi conditions but as soon as I switch to "data" connection it just stops. I can get around the problem by switching off the Gmail app alerts and turn on the "default" phone email app and then I get alerts as normal when out and about. As soon as I get back to wifi as soon as I turn off the default email app and turn gmail alerts back on with a few seconds I get the gmail alerts
So something somewhere is stopping gmail from receiving on "data" when I'm away from wifi..This started a few weeks ago, it seems to happen everywhere, including roaming on foreign networks. If I manually search for new mail on Gmail app it picks them up if I swipe down and then I get the mails.
I think I've checked every possible setting there is, cleared all cache uninstalled / re installed, always the same result, even rebooted in recovery mode and cleared cache
I got a new samsung s6 edge How do I get all my apps data and save games over . I've tryed helium premium but it keeps getting stuck . I've tryed Smart switch And backup pro nothing is working it keeps missing half of my apps and my saved games
I am using Samsung S6 and encounter issues with the tracking of data usage. The Y axis (GB) and X axis (dates) and warning limits bars are showing but the mobile data usage graph is not showing despite using mobile data.
