My E66 will be sold to a friend soon. I would like to know if there is a switch or some sequence of buttons that will restore the phone to a out-of-box condition, which no personal or past data inside ?

My phone still has close to full battery though, so I'm waiting for it to drain off slowly... My question is, will the phone turn on automatically when I eventually charge it with a dead battery.

I have been a bit worried that any pressure on the phone in the future might lead the screen to crack, so to be on the safe side I am having the handset replaced straight away by my mobile network. I am expecting a doorstep exchange in the morning, and they will collect the old phone all boxed up and provide a new sealed e72 in the box.So, I need to delete all my information from the handset and memory card. So far I have formatted the memory card and done a factory reset from the phone menu, then a factory reset as detailed in another thread I found on here (* +3 + call).

Within 2 weeks of purchase I found that there is a manufacturing defect in the phone and because of that defect my phone is getting dust every day inside the phone and on the TFT screen, being a touch screen phone dust hinders in touch screen operations. I went to Nokia care on 27.06.2010 and asked for the replacement and they told me let us check the phone we will forward your request to our Bangalore office, so kindly wait for 10 days. But yesterday I got my phone back in the very same condition even I am sure it's not even been transferred to the concern department for check and rectification because the dust on the screen was as it is.

my iPhone 5s (which I only got this summer) was unexpectedly caught in a blue screen logo loop earlier this week. It endlessly tried to boot up but as soon as the blue screen appeared it crashed and tried to boot up again. (Before this happened I noticed that a blue screen would light up while turning on but without any further problems...)Â
I had searched the web how to get past the loop and managed to restore the iPhone (recovery mode, etc). Everything was fine or so it seemed until it switched off again. When I tried to switch it back on the loop issue reappeared and restoring the phone wasn't as straight forward as it was the first time. Numerous attempts failed. I had it restored to factory settings, and at the end of the process there was an iTunes message saying it's been retired and the phone will appear in iTunes as soon as it restarts but... it didn't. it was caught up in the loop again!Â
Question is will i ever be able to switch it off again? If I do will it again be caught up in the loop (where I have to start it in recovery mode)???? What could possible be the issue triggering the blue screen loop? Is it software? Or hardware related? I mean I almost gave up on it before it finally, eventually started again. but I'm seriously concerned.Â

I was using a Motorola Atrix phone for a few years running Android 2.3.6. On this phone I was playing The Tribez for many months. I have moved up to an HTC ONE. Love the phone and very happy that I moved to it. The last thing I need is to find a way to move my Tribez app with the game data to my new HTC ONE. I have not had any success looking in the Play Store for a backup and restore utility that work on both devices and also move the app data with the app.

The phone was on Android 4.4.2 when I used the Backup & Restore application to backup my System apps data, and some of my Downloaded apps with data. I had to upgrade to 4.4.4. I think it was a mistake that I didn't make a backup on 4.4.4 as well. Now I've upgraded to 5.0, and all of my apps & settings were kept, but I wanted to start clean, so I did a factory reset.

Now when I'm trying to use the Backup & Restore app again to Restore the backup file I made on 4.4.2, a window pops up saying "Cannot restore, Selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file."
I recently sent in my Xperia Z2 because of a mechanical problem. So like I was told, I saved my data, so I wouldn't lose any data. But now I tried to restore my saved data but it won't work somehow because it tells me, that I have the wrong device connected, although I do have the right device connected.

I have change cell from E71 to E72, before i change i do a phone backup to my E71 to the memory card however i put the memory card to new E72, i go to Office-> file mgr -> memoey cardarea click option but there no restore icon but when i go see my file under folder backup it has a Backup.ARC in it i have lost alot of contacts in itis there anyway to restore it. or at least i get to see my contact list.

Since 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night.My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data.What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
When updating the software, do not send anything that destroy the users personal settings. And do not come with any BS that the programming system requires it. Now I will not accept any updates that require a lot of extra job from me to make safety copies and restore my personal info. No more.

2 weeks ago i put my iphone 4s (bought just a year ago) in to washing machine with clothes. It did work with rice but it did come on with 'Reviveaphone" kit. iPhone is charging and texts are coming through but touch screen not responding. View 9 Replies View Related2 days ago my phone randomly looses signal, (I'm in the middle of London in location at which I would normally get at least 4 bars 'H' signal), I wait for 10 minutes still nothing so I try and turn it off, the phone freezes/gets stuck with the 'phone shutting down' message on display.At this point I decide to just take the battery out and put it back in, after doing so the phone will not turn on what so ever. When I get home that evening I try to charge it, nothing, no lights and still won't turn on.
Taking the battery out again, followed by the sim card and memory card I notice that the memory card has a crack in it, all the way across and just under the gold contacts. I think nothing of it as surely this couldn't have happened while it was in the phone and must have been there the whole time, so put everything back in and try again. Nothing. Open it up again and take out the memory card, leaving it out this time I try again and the phone starts up.So Sony Ericsson,
