I have change cell from E71 to E72, before i change i do a phone backup to my E71 to the memory card however i put the memory card to new E72, i go to Office-> file mgr -> memoey cardarea click option but there no restore icon but when i go see my file under folder backup it has a Backup.ARC in it i have lost alot of contacts in itis there anyway to restore it. or at least i get to see my contact list.

I was using a Motorola Atrix phone for a few years running Android 2.3.6. On this phone I was playing The Tribez for many months. I have moved up to an HTC ONE. Love the phone and very happy that I moved to it. The last thing I need is to find a way to move my Tribez app with the game data to my new HTC ONE. I have not had any success looking in the Play Store for a backup and restore utility that work on both devices and also move the app data with the app.

The phone was on Android 4.4.2 when I used the Backup & Restore application to backup my System apps data, and some of my Downloaded apps with data. I had to upgrade to 4.4.4. I think it was a mistake that I didn't make a backup on 4.4.4 as well. Now I've upgraded to 5.0, and all of my apps & settings were kept, but I wanted to start clean, so I did a factory reset.

Now when I'm trying to use the Backup & Restore app again to Restore the backup file I made on 4.4.2, a window pops up saying "Cannot restore, Selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file."

My "old" iPhone with all the data on it is already in use with another config. So I went back and tried with my old one (btw. both iPhone 4s 5.1.1 iOS iTunes is 10.6.3 (25)), same message!
I restored my MobileSync folder by using TimeMachine and tried the last 8 backups to restore and failed every time with the same message. I can access the backup by using MobileSyncBrowser or iPhoneBackup Extractor. The Data is there and accessible. How can I restore the data to my iphone? Is there a way to check backups why they are corrupt an fix them? Are there different iOS5.1.1 builds? Is there a way to check the Backup for the exact iOS Build?

However it has done the opposite. I now have lost most of my contacts and all my photos!! How do I get these back?
When you get your iPhone 4, will you restore from a backup to transfer your settings and data, or start out fresh and slowly bring things in?Personally, I'll probably start fresh. It also gives me a chance to trim out some unused apps and things.

I'm trying to restore my phone after a factory reset but am having trouble restoring it using HTC backup. When it came on after the reset it wanted me to restore using ATT Ready2Go. I exited out of it hoping to get the normal HTC setup but it just took me to the home screen. I signed into my HTC account in settings but could not find a place to restore it.
I have used icloud on my ipad before and it couldn't have been easier, just sign in and it restored everything.

I had an IPhone 3gs earlier so I synced and backed-up the phone and then attempted to restore the phone to see if I could eliminate the problem. After the restore and software update, it brought me to the "Set up your IPhone" page and I selected "restore from the last backup on my iphone" then clicked "continue." It started to restore from backup and everything appeared to be running like normal, but when it was finished and my phone restarted, my apps and songs were deleted but my pictures/wallpapers/contacts were still on the phone. In addition, instead of my itunes returning to my Iphone's library, it returned to the "Set up your IPhone" page like the restore never happened. I have tried to restore from backup multiples times after that but I end up with the same result so I cannot access my iphone's library on my itunes to add any of my songs back since the restore didn't bring any of it back. Does any know how to fix it?

I went to the Verizon place a couple of days ago to see if they could get my phone to stop freezing and running slow. Well they accidentally deleted over half my pictures and my phone is the only place I have those pictures. Well luckily, I thought, I have a backup file and my pictures will be on there. But whenever I try to run it I get the error "data not recognized by desktop!" Some of these pictures are really really important to me and I want them back. Is there anything I can do to make the backup file work? Will it even contain the pictures? I have a blackberry storm and the verizon place said I have the most updated software.

I did a backup of my iphone 4 ios 4.3.1 before I started upgrading it to ios 5.1. Upgrade went well until i got to the part of restoring from a backup. For some reason, it asked me for a password which i disable on the iphone before i started upgrading. I tried putting the old password which i disabled but no luck. Apple really screwed me up! Did an update to iOS 8.1.2, got stuck in the white restart screen. Recovered the phone via DFU for like 6 times to get the phone start up correctly in factory settings only to find I am unable to restore my backup due to "corrupt backup or incompatible device"!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).
