View 5 RepliesPhone worked great for a week, then I installed the BBDM software and attempted to install a new app and It starts the process but at the end says it cannot connect to the device. Problem is, the BB is now completely reset and has none of my apps, contacts, pictures, videos, or anything else. Any ideas? I'm about to lose it here.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new HTC One M9 from Telstra (Australia) in July and ever since I got the phone I have been experiencing an intermittent problem where the GPS and the cell connectivity will both shut down and not connect to the cell towers and GPS location. There is an X above the cell signal and the GPS location indicator flashes and shows no connection. This happens every few days of use and the only way to restore connectivity is to restart the phone.
I have the firmware up-to-date OTA and I have even tried a factory reset.
This problem is not isolated to any one app and has occurred when using Sygic navigation as well as Run.GPS fitness tracker.
I am suspecting this could be a hardware issue! The issue is that it is an intermittent problem and not instantly reproduceable. The problem just happens and without any warning!
My old bold 9700 OS 5 phone just died and I have a backup IPD file. My question is I just bought a 9780 phone with OS 6, will i be able to restore my data without any issues or losing data?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the BB desktop software because I needed to update the BB, so I connected the Blackberry Bold to the computer. And somewhere it decided to clean my phone completely. I was not asked to back up. I have asked some friends and they said that usually its always asking to backup before. I'm very disappointed by the last happenings at RIM. Is there anyway I can recover the lost data. As we can do with computers can we do the same with BB phone? I also have searched on my laptop some "ipd" files and found some strange MFL files but I cannot read them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just did an OS update of a blackberry bold 9700 and after rebooting all the data was lost... emails, contacts, settings... I searched for solutions, found few places talking about the update software would be creating a .ipd backup file before updating OS, but didn't find any on the PC. It never has been sync or backed up..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to see any media or memory card contents (eg. Pictures, songs, voice notes etc) that are saved in my memory card storage. However, when I check the memory status, the card seems occupied with the memory consumed by this files. I do not want to loose these files as they are very important to me. This is indeed very disappointing and soul-crushing.

View 9 Replies View RelatedVery often I lose my blacjberry connection (means that the blackberry symbol near 3G is missing) It occurs often when I use google maps, and now when I use bb app world 2.0 ..Seems like when the data amount is too high, connection is lost. I only can get it back by disabling 3G signal and enabling it again ..
I don't know why it does it, I had no problem with my bold 9000, but since I changed to 9700 I also changed my phone operator..Or maybe It's due to my faceplate change and I screwed myself not moving certain parts to the new faceplate..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently lost my SD card to my blackberry 9810 and am attempting to restore the files onto a new SD card to a computer. I had automatic backups set up from the Blackberry desktop manager and Blackberry protect. I was under the assumption that these backups also backed up information on the SD card. Unfortunatley, when I tried to restore my phone using a blackberry desktop no old files where restored to my new SD card.I have read an old post that says the automatic backups do not backup SD card documents but am unsure if that is still true.Is there anyway I could restore the files using the backups?

And the device recognized the new SIM card inserted and asked me to confirm the Black Berry ID that was created before. But the password is invalid, I tried so many times and still password invalid, and then suggest to be created new Black Berry ID, and I did it. After that all of my data were wiped and I can't use it anymore. So, how can I restore all of my data such as contacts, BBM contacts, memo, etc?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

My update hung at the status "reconnecting to jvm." I know that this has been a problem in the past. A backup was made before installation; and although a second update attempt was succesful, I am unable to find or use the backup that the loader made. I also tried connecting the phone to another computer that I had previously backed it up on, but the computer now recognizes the phone as new, and not as the phone previously backed up. how to correct it? I really just need to restore the contacts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night. My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data. What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
My iPhone4S was stolen yesterday and I wiped the data off the phone using my iPad. Unfortunately this wipe of data seems to have beed synced via iCloud to my PC and iPad and I have lost all calendar and contacts details. Is there a way for me to recover this data?

I am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).
