I am noticing my Internet Sharing works on 4G or Edge, but LTE Kills it.
Before WP8, there used to be settings to turn off High Speed but I can't seem to find them in WP8 ...

Seems like the brightness of the capacitive buttons on the Lumia 1520 with the Denim update stays on high. The buttons seem much brighter in low light. Is there a way to turn off or reduce the brightness for the buttons?

I can hear a slight speaker pop when the speaker turns on and off, this is especially noticeable when using the keyboard and also with notification sounds.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHad my 1020 for almost a year now. No issues. Has all latest updates. Last update was sometime back. Had it in my shirt pocket while cycling fir two hours and it was running sports tracker.
I have done this twice a week since I had the phone and no issues. Last night finished ride and took phone out of pocket to see camera led light on. Turned sports tracker off. Tried soft reset. Had a hard time getting it to reset.
Screen was blank/black after reset and took multiple tries to get phone on and working. Finally got phone working but led light still wont go off and camera wont start. Tried starting camera with button and through multiple camera aps with no luck.
How to turn off the vibration on the screen for the Nokia 1020 ?

I've tried charging my Nokia 1020 for 8 hours with no luck. After that I tried the 2 key and 3 key reset with no luck as well. I tried to plug it up to my computer but I got nothing there either. I am getting no indication that its charging and I'm starting to think I'm out of options. Is there anything else I can try? This just basically happened out of the blue, I turned it off and now it doesn't want to come back on at all...

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt makes no difference which Nokia "Camera" I use. The photos all turn out with a strong lime green tint. I've tried three 1020s now and am about to give up. I took a picture of friends in their living room, which was cream with neutral earth tone colors. It came out green on green. I took another of friends in a sand beige painted classroom. The walls came out a sickly lime green.
The only commonality in both situations was that one person in each grouping was wearing lime green, so I went back to the classroom to try again. With the classroom empty, the photo still came out lime green.
I am using Nokia Lumia 1020. It has been having a trouble auto connecting Flight Mode. I can not use my mobile as a result of that. It connecting automatically WIFI connection as well. I can not off both Flight Mode and WIFI manually as they connecting automatically.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs you know WP users when our phones gets low battery our buttons turn off (Back, Home, and Search buttons) they turn off but not on my 1520 anymore they still light even when battery is low I went to Display settings the "Battery saver brightness" option is activated this option used to turn them off when my battery gets low also it doesn't really reduce the screen brightness as used to do the brightness still as the same it doesn't reduce it or something.

View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
I don't like how my only way of finding help from apple is talking to a bunch of random ppl just like me. The area called "other" on my phones' memory (on the device summary in iTunes) keeps getting larger. what is in this area and how do I erase it?

Going on a cruise next week that has GSM roaming on it. I plan to leave the phone off unless I need to check in with someone in US.I know that the voice rate will be $4.99 per minute, but how do I turn off the data portion of the phone to not rack up crazy roaming data charges. I do have unlimited international email but suspect the cruise ship does not count.

and i kept getting this response "turn on cellular data or use Wi-FI to access data" anyone know how to fix this? am i suppose to leave Cellular data on? i turned it off because i thought it would be wasting data. (got 200MB plan)
Since 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night.My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data.What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
I have problem on my 1020 that I don't get almost any notification on 3g but on WiFi everything works fine.

I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.
