On my 4S 32 GB it shows 16.4 GB other which is taking most of the space what is this other and how can I get rid of it, I have checked in usuage couldnt find anything that big?

I've become fed up with Roxio Media Manager as it crashes my computers. I read the instructions to access my media card via mass storage.
-mass storage is turned on
-Connectivity is fine via desktop manager so the cable is fine.
-auto enable mass storage mode is on.
-I use XP pro latest service pack and latest desktop manager
blackberry is fully updated.
Should I not be able to see the media card as any other storage device in "My Computer"? Like a flash memory stick? I've tried various USB ports and 2 different PC's with same result. Is there an alternative to Roxio? This might solve the problem but computers just are not seeing this thing.

When I plug in my Android Nexus 5, I keep getting a message popping up on my computer that says: "Can't access device storage: if your devices screen is locked, disconnect the USB cable, unlock your screen, and then reconnect the USB cable." I have tried this answer without success many times. How do I access and update my music collection from my laptop?? (I have a 2008 Apple MacBook Pro). Is there another way to update my music via internet, or any other method that does not require direct connection?

Usually when I clean out the files, everything will be all fine and dandy, but recently (which means, 30 minutes ago), I tapped the "Device Storage." and I did something, and It processed and everything seemed to be fine, because usually when I clean something out , for instance"videos", "Audio." or "Documents.", my photos and such are still there. But when I came back from a quick errand, I went into gallery to see that ALL my photo albums were completely gone. they had vanished, and to where I have no clue. I do not have an sd card, but I do have micro SD Sim installed into my galaxy s5, and I know for a fact that everything in your phone is there for eternity whether or not you deleted it, so right now how to gain back ALL of my five albums filled with photos. I had some beautiful photos that I would hate to lose.

The other problem is that to connect to as a mass storage device, you have to manually do this every time - In my car, the phone repeatedly beeps at me until I enter the USB connect screen, which is very annoying.

I have updated my drivers, enabled USB debugging, etc. It works on another Windows 7 computer, but not on my main laptop. No matter what I do, it will not find the Mass Storage drivers. Everything else works great. I have to run in Mass Storage mode to get to some files for a work app.

When I start up Desktop Manager and try to access the pictures or other files stored on the permanent internal memory, Desktop Manager complains I have no card installed. In the previous versions, you had the choice of accessing either the internal memory or the media card, but I see no option for that in version 6.0.

Most programs do not recognize the LG 4 for some reason I read but don't remember. I am also not techy enough to root the phone. It blows my mind that this smartphone doesn't have a recycle bin or a go-back feature where you can recover deleted items.

no matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

I do not know what else to do! I have a Nokia x6 16 gb..I had it for about a week in which time I added 14gb of music and the uk maps..All was working perfectly. However.... Last Saturday I decided to use the "comes with music" voucher that came with it..I selected the music I wanted and downloaded it and was told that I had to download the DRM software to play...I clicked yes and then waited and waited..it seemed my phone had frozen as ovi player would not transfer any music to it.. I unplugged it and tried to plug back in but got the dreaded "mtp device driver failed". I have tried everything I have read on these forums and the web including:- Deleting the folder in the private folder on the mass storage card. performing a hard reset on the phone (although my music was still on the card?) Deleting all of the nokia software and running the nokia cleaner and reinstalling... Doing the above but disabling Windows media player and reanabling it a later date still no joy.. I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my desktop so no options to reinstall WMP just disable. I have tried to plug it into my wifes' laptop which has windows 7 home premium 32 bit and I get the same message however her nokia 5800 works fine in her laptop..

I have missed the 24th preorder date and I was wondering if by any chance even 1 in million manage to get on hold of a payg iphone 4 (uk) from a carrier like orange, 3 etc. Is there a difference having an officially unlocked iphone from apple vs an ultrasn0w etc. unlock device?? (other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)
