Just wondering if anyone other unlocked people run into a problem where they get NO SERVICE. And their phones are all laggy.. When you try and restart it its toast, wont boot or anything.. Causing a complete restore...Im running AT&T on Telus but I dont think thats the issue.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing random reboots and apps crashes. My phone was rooted a month ago. I tried to wipe partitions, make a factory reset, format partitions, flash stock 1 file and stock 4 files (with pit file inside). Sometimes the phones freezes and I need to restart it, sometimes it's rebooting by himself. When I'm working with it about a minute, apps start crashing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I was running the VZW official .713 OS. Then, I think I installed the latest BBM. After about 12 hours of that, I started experiencing random crashes triggered by actions (not particular actions). I add a contact, it crashes. I boot back up and add again, it doesn't crash - something like that with various other actions like me locking the phone using the left lock button, or snapping a picture, etc.I didn't attribute this to BBM and so figured to hell with the official OS and installed a hybrid (Yes, I'm aware that it's not a supported OS bla bla, but it started with the official .713 so there is merit to this). And upgraded to the new BBM. Installed apps, etc. Battery was draining by 2-5% every 30-45 minutes. Crashes were happening and I wouldn't know till I had to use the phone again, at which point it starts the boot process.I uninstalled the latest BBM and downgraded to the previous stable 5.0.0.66 and it is still going on.
I'm running out of options here.I checked the event log for the time it crashed and encountered only one fatal error:Any help would be appreciated as I don't know what else to do except for installing the old BBM and no other applications. In which case, no point of the phone. I've been using the phone for the past 2 months with no problems..If someone wants me to email this to someone at RIM, that's fine too as I don't know how else to go to them.
I got my Xperia mini pro (SK17i, Android 2.3.4, firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 after update) a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, trying to activate my Google account during the setup procedure crashed/rebooted the phone twice in a row before I managed to complete the setup. Afterwards I have immediately updated to firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 but still have experienced the occasional crash about 2-3 times a day.
Usually it happens when doing stuff with the phone. I have read that there is a new firmware update coming our way (4.0.2.A.0.6x) which is supposed to fix some memory management issues. Indeed, the last couple of times I have experienced crashes, the "crash log" in /proc/last_kmsg has shown Unable to handle kernel paging request (+ a nice trace) just before the kernel panicked and rebooted the phone.
My girlfriends phone 4 completely locks up and restarts during uploading videos via the facebook app. Anyone else having this problem?

There wasn't any writing underneath the number and when I clicked on the number, there wasn't even a text message... as if it was blank. What's weirder is that my phone didn't even register that I'd gotten a new text.. the number just appeared.

Options -> Tools -> Settings -> Navigation then Ovi Maps crash and exits.
I had this problem with earlier versions of Maps aswell, and I am really interested to fix this.
I recently updated with new ANNA software to my N8, but now my phone to crash/ restart itself at least 15 times at day! is that a way I can uninstall or do something about it?

I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi've tried installing the updated ovi maps 3.04 several times now and each time i launch the app it will cause the screen to fade, then i get red, blue and green lines, then the phone reboots. i initially did the upgrade from 3.03, that version worked great, and as soon as it finished and i launched the app is crashed the phone. rebooted a few times and same thing, did a soft reset and same thing. then i completely wiped the phone, formatted the storage, hard reset, installed my must have apps like mfe, joikuspot premium, opera mobile, nimbuzz, facebook and Internet, then installed ovi maps............same thing. so now i'm going to do it all over again and install the maps first, then start installing apps one by one. i'm sure it's an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and one of my apps. i'm not sure why though because 3.03 worked just fine with even more apps installed, and it's not like any of the apps i installed were betas. well after some additional testing i've narrowed the problem down to an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and the current version of joikuspot premium downloaded from their website. i wiped the phone, installed the new version of ovi maps, and the app functioned as expected. i then downloaded and installed the current version of joikuspot premium directly from their website, registered it, launched it, then shut it down. then i tried launching ovi maps again. the application came up but after 5 to 10 seconds i got color streaks across the screen then the phone rebooted. i continued to do this each time i tried to launch the app. then i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and launched ovi maps and it worked just fine. i then tried installing some of my other apps i use like opera mobile, mfe, nimbuzz. all those functioned just fine and ovi maps continued to work. i then reinstalled joikuspot, rebooted, registered, etc.... and ovi maps started crashing again. then again i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and ovi maps started working again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHaving issues with the Z5 when it comes to opening messages, mine will show opening conversation for 20 seconds before actually opening a message then once i complete the message the phone crashes and i have to close all open apps, phone is one month old and I am beginning to regret the change from an iphone. MMS's always make the phone freeze also.
I was hoping a software update would of fixed this issue but sadly it didnt. Not too keen on a much slower phone than previous phone for a further 23 months as this is the remainder of my contract.
Is anyone else having problems with their computer crashing when you connect your phone to the computer via USB cable? This was a pre-existing problem before but it was solved by checking USB debugging (or vice-versa). But after the software upgrade to 4.0.4, I get the blue-screen-of-death and the computer crashes every time no matter which setting I choose for the USB debugging. This makes it almost impossible to transfer files between my computer and phone.

I can't see a pattern and the short noise it makes is not one of the ones listed in the notification sounds in settings. It still vibrates in silent mode and I've installed a notification history app but there is no record of any notifications at the appropriate times. Nfc is turned off.

Despite the update, Ovi maps just crashes the phone when I try to use it. The screen goes blank and I get all coloured lines flashing down one side and the phone reluctantly restarts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince updating my OS the audio files that i often transfer to my curve will crash the phone except for the very bottom file on the "all songs" menu inside the BB music player. It is the strangest thing, and very problematic. I have loaded random music files on and switched priority and it is always the last file on the list that works and everything else above will cause the crash. To help clarify some info. The music files are from an itunes playlist and they are all spoken word that range from 5-7hrs each and i have from 2-4 of them at a time. BB desktop manager is the method of syncing and the method of updating the OS as well.

The software also sometimes will perform the wrong function when an icon or button on the phone is pressed. The two that are being downloaded are ScenenUserSleep.txt and miniclipld.txt
I removed the Pool game app from my phone (made by miniclip) and it seems to stop the miniclipld.txt from downloading but the other one I cannot stop!!!
Why is it doing this and how do I stop it??
