My HTC M9's front/selfie camera crashes - a black screen loads, then the camera app closes/crashes. This follows the most recent software update. Even third party apps can't connect to the front camera, and they crash.
View 1 RepliesSo I cracked my screen, changed it with OEM new parts, and worked great for weeks after the installation.Now, I'm having camera issues, back camera works fine, but when you switch to front facing camera the app freezes and crashes, and I get cant connect to camera black screen, and at this point the back camera wont work either, if you restart and clear data on camera app the back camera works again, but front facing will never work.I;m running stock rooted but I've had this issue with rooted custom roms and stock unrooted. I'm not sure if this is related to the screen change or not, but it worked great for weeks after the screen change. and, I;m having the same issue with other camera apps too, no snap chat installed nor any other apps that could conflict.

I'm looking for a replacement phone for my BB and wondering what recommendations you had. Here are my requirements:
Must haves-

- LED or some type of visual notifier - coming from bb this is important to me!
- Wifi/GPS (think this is standard nowadays)
Nice to haves-
- HTC
- 4" screen
- Thin
Are there any phones out there (or about to be released) which meet the above criteria?

Just noticed that my front facing cam isn't working when I toggle it in the menu, both on phone's cam and Nokia cam. The screen appears black momentarily, and then it revert to homescreen.
I am not sure if it was this way when on W8.0 'cos I didn't test it then.
My 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!

Most of the time it works fine but there are random times it flickers, does this happen to anyone other than me? or my iPhone is defective, Anyone perhaps have an idea what causes this flickering* I facetime and skype video alot, also the iPhone gets warm very close to hot point while using facetime or skype videocalls.

I have brought this new N97. the camera does not work sometimes when ever i open the lens cover the screen appears blank and infact the videos in my mobile phone also does not play, only the sound is heard. I have to do the Factory Reset then only it works fine and resetting it works for few time and the problem occurs again. I Can't keep on resetting the phone again and again it has the latest software update V20.

Everytime i try and open the camera app it just crashes, it doesnt show anything on the screen it just goes straight back to the home screen. I'm not able to use the camera in any application either. I've tried pressing on the rear camera and that hasn't worked yet. i have factory reset it and restored it many times. I took it to my verizon store.

When I today (3/21) reached to collect phone and told them to please get me tested the phone front camera, what they told me is "there is no Front camera in E71. If you prove will give you new phone? This is pathetic they even don't know that there is front video camera in the phone. My jobsheet no is 11433527/100320113. Even I saw jobsheet, they have not even tested it. Engineer: Sukhbir,Amit and Sanjeev denied that there is Front Camera in this phone.If I(Me) prove then will give me new phone....Now I am ready to Prove Will Nokia Provide me new phone Who will resolve my issue Please tell me Grievance cell email id. Or i need to go to Consumer court for this?

After I updated my c7 software to symbian anna my front camera is not working, I am getting error "unknown error occurred, please restart the camera, if problem persist then restart the phone" and after restarting still I am getting the same error.

Anybody got good uses for this besides facetime and dumb chatroulette references? I never use face time, and am trying to find at least some use for this but seriously have never used it except for a few times to just test it out or show off.
