Jun 9, 2010Will apps such as Skype be able to utilize the functions of the cameras for video calling? I am getting the iPhone 4 and my dad and uncle have Skype and we video chat all the time. So will apps like this be able to use the cameras in development? Discuss.

Most of the time it works fine but there are random times it flickers, does this happen to anyone other than me? or my iPhone is defective, Anyone perhaps have an idea what causes this flickering* I facetime and skype video alot, also the iPhone gets warm very close to hot point while using facetime or skype videocalls.

Can the next update to the OS allow us to set the camera to a lower resolution.

Jun 24, 2010I noticed that sometimes when an app is loading after selecting it from the app store, the icon is very high res when it has the loading bar.After the app loads and installs,the icon makes a noticable shift to a low res version.It is definitely not because the icon is grayed out, you can visibly see the switch from high res to low res.Anyone know how to fix this?No idea why an icon would show in high res then switch for no reason.

May 22, 2012I have an iPhone 4s from about 6 months, and I noticed some problems using the front camera; sometimes when I open the camera app, the screen becomes all black, and I must close the app as to avoid the problem (temporaneously). Besides there' s another problem: sometimes the camera seems to work normally, but suddenly some black stripes appear on the screen, moving from the right side of the screen to the left one (like a sort on "interferences"). The real mystery is that the problem isn't permanent, it shows only in some occasions, and I really cannot understand the reason of it.
