Is there a setting within the OS the controls the function of the play/pause buttons on headsets? The button on the corded earbuds that came with my S6 no longer works. Neither does the play/pause buttons on my LG Tones or other ear buds.

I find myself regularly accidentally hitting rewind or fast forward when I really am aiming for Pause/Play.
This is particularly annoying if I am listening to an hour long podcast, as positioning within the track using the 'slider' is painful.
It would be nice if the buttons could be configured to be somewhere completely separate. (pause/play at the top, FF/Rew at the bottom, for example).

The applications will begin downloading, reach a certain point of the download (most recently it was 95%), then it seems to pause for 20 seconds, and then it appears to start the download again, usually installing successfully on the second try.

I can advance to the next song (still doesn't play) but I can't move back to the previous song. I've tried resetting to no avail.

I just got the Galaxy S6 which of course is running Lollipop. One of the features I used all the time on my iPhone was the ability to skip forward/back while listening to music (e.g. Pandora, Rhapsody, Music Player, etc.). I'm afraid to ask but am I to understand this functionality does NOT work on this phone/OS??? If so, how can I get around this? I do not want to root the phone nor do I want to be forced to use apps that require me to play music stored on the phone. I have subscriptions to Pandora and Rhapsody for a reason.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis recently started happening. I will be walking with my phone in my pocket and it is locked, but suddenly my music will pause for no apparent reason. I look at my phone and nothing has happened except my music is now paused. I didn't even touch my headphones. It happens around 3 times every time I take a 30 minute walk. It is so irritating to have your music abruptly stop. One time it went completely haywire and the voice dialer came up and the volume cranked itself all the way up and the robotic google voice nearly damaged my ear drums. Now sometimes the voice dialer comes up once it pauses, but very rarely. It will normally just pause randomly.
I use to believe it was my pocket pausing the music because the touch screen is very terrible on this phone and would skip my music when I was walking but I've since flipped my phone the other way in my pocket so thats not possible.
I've turned off all the gestures, motions, airview, etc.

Due to other problems, i reset the phone and now have no way of getting back on it, since the setting button is the only thing that i know can get me on the internet to login to my blur account. Is there any way i could still get into blur, without using the setting button or should i just get a new phone?

I don't know if this is a new setting or not, but I just stumbled across it.In Settings >>> General >>> Accessibilty..All the way at the bottom you can customize a triple click shortcut. One of them being a white/black toggle that reverses the color scheme on the phone.Seems pretty un-Apple like. The look it produces makes it look like it was jailbroken!

I want to set Google play music as my widget on the lock screen, so I can skip tracks or go back without unlocking the phone. I could swear I used to have it that way, but now am unable to set that back.
If I chose the music lock screen, it only uses the HTC music player app. If I do widget lock screen, I have very few outings to pick from, and Google play music is not an option.
I can't get my iPhone to play through my new Bose portable sounddock. Is it a bad connection or a phone setting?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSony Experia play, the home/standby button will still send the phone to standby but it will not wake the phone, i had to use the slide to activate the phone from sleep but now that has stop working. The phone is on and somebody can ring or text (Rings and vibrates) but the screen does not respond. Once in a blue moon it will work fine, then other times i can sit for 20 minutes pressing and sliding for the phone and screen to wake up. I have tried factory reset etc but to no avail.

However, both me and my husband have tried tirelessly to find how to search Google, or the Play Store, or other places in the phone with a search bar. We came from the Droid Razr (talk about an upgrade!) and that had a "GO" button to tell Google to search more than just the drop-down, suggested searches results. Is there anything on the M8 that is equivalent - to make Google actually search what you typed in, rather than having to choose from suggestions (which usually aren't what you want)?
