The "cover screen with hand" option to mute incoming calls and alarms and pause media does not seem to be working. Turning over the screen works, but not hand motion. All of my air browse gestures work, I would think that this feature would work too since it uses the same sensor.

I have read that it doesn't work at all on 5.1.1 but all so there has been an update that makes it work. It definitely isn't working on my s6 edge.

It was so easy on my old Nokia, just insert "p" between the number and conference pins etc. When I use this on the J10i2 nothing happens and I have to enter manually.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe motion detector trigger is no longer working after my ICS update on my Droid Razr. Before that I had battery extender operating with no issues - it turned off background data and syncing when the screen was dimmed plus there was no movement. After, the battery extender will trigger every time my display goes off, ignoring the motion detector. Or other times it won't trigger at all, even when sitting on a flat unmoving surface. I've tried disabling and re-enabling. I've tried clearing the cache. I've deleted the rule and redone it several times. Sometimes I can get it to work if I shake the phone vigorously before place it firmly down, but not always. Before the update to ICS, it had the right sensitivity and worked every time. Currently I'm running Smart Actions version 3.1.5.1.2.
Is there any way to make this work again? It's such a shame to lose it, but I don't like having the battery extender kick in every time the screen goes off (as, if it times out while I'm looking at it, then I lose all my data while using the phone).

I can advance to the next song (still doesn't play) but I can't move back to the previous song. I've tried resetting to no avail.

When I change the position of the Mute/Silent switch, I get the icon to change (either the bell or the bell with the line through it), but the phone continues to right and never goes on silent. If the icon changes, it seems the switch must work physically, right? As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings.

I found that the double tap or swiping the phone while it's on a table does not always activate the phone. However, when the phone is in my hand, it works as it should. I'm thinking maybe it's because the phone has a rounded back so when you tap it, the phone will seesaw and it messes with the internal sensor. I never have this problem when the phone is in my hand because the way the phone contours to the hand and making it more stable.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis recently started happening. I will be walking with my phone in my pocket and it is locked, but suddenly my music will pause for no apparent reason. I look at my phone and nothing has happened except my music is now paused. I didn't even touch my headphones. It happens around 3 times every time I take a 30 minute walk. It is so irritating to have your music abruptly stop. One time it went completely haywire and the voice dialer came up and the volume cranked itself all the way up and the robotic google voice nearly damaged my ear drums. Now sometimes the voice dialer comes up once it pauses, but very rarely. It will normally just pause randomly.
I use to believe it was my pocket pausing the music because the touch screen is very terrible on this phone and would skip my music when I was walking but I've since flipped my phone the other way in my pocket so thats not possible.
I've turned off all the gestures, motions, airview, etc.
I have had m S6 for nearly 2 months now and any videos I watch be it on the Internet or videos I have recorded go into slow motion with the sound going at normal speed.

I seem to be missing 1 option tho, on the S2 I would plug to AUX port on car stereo from headphone jack (straight AUX cable - nothing fancy) and could listen to music and hear calls via car speakers, also on the call my phone mic would pick up my voice so with the phone on the dash mount I could easily make/receive calls, on the S5 however the mic seems to be muted when aux cable plugged in (same with headphones) and I have to unplug the cable or headphones to have the recipient hear me, am I missing a setting somewhere?
