Nokia :: E72 Shortcut Key For Mute / Un-mute During Phone Call?
Jan 20, 2010Does anyone know if E72 has a shortcut key to mute/unmute during the call ? The only way I am aware of is using options to select mute.

IPhone 4 :: Mute Switch Shows Icon Change / But Doesn't Mute
Jun 1, 2014When I change the position of the Mute/Silent switch, I get the icon to change (either the bell or the bell with the line through it), but the phone continues to right and never goes on silent. If the icon changes, it seems the switch must work physically, right? As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings.

Jan 24, 2010I just updated to 442 and everything else seems fine except for the fact that when on a call, as soon as the backlight times out, it mutes the mic and the party on the other end cannot hear me. Clicking the trackball "unmutes" the phone until the backlight times out again. This happens whether I'm on speakerphone or not.
I posted this in the actual OS thread as well but figured someone in here may read this and know of a solution.
I've done quite a few battery pulls hoping this would resolve the issue but it hasn't.
The nice thing about upgrading from 296 to this is when you are on a call and the backlight times out, the screen and everything but the 4 buttons on the trackpad row go dim. So if its dark you can still find these 4 buttons rather easily. I just wish I could figure out this mute issue.

Jun 7, 2010I am having a few problems with setting up my nokia ck-100 handsfree kit on a 2004 audi a4 (standard concert system) I am just using the standard iso connector. It connects with the phone and performs all functions except.
1. it only uses the centre console speaker and while the phone is connected there is a constant hiss until it disconnects or the call ends.
2. The radio doesn't mute when a call is made or recieved.
3. The ck-100 dosent seem to be ignition linked.

Nov 7, 2011Had my Atrix 2 for a week and some times when I answer the phone no one is there.They can hear me perfectly well but my phone is dead quiet. Yes I've checked to make sure I haven't accidently hit the mute when answering. There is just no sound coming from the phone. Only a battery pull while powered on will restore the speaker function.Doesn't happen all the time, just enought to be annoying. Had taken back a SGS2 for this phone so I am stuck on this model and frankly I like it way better.AT&T didn't have any answers other than just hard reset it.

May 8, 2012Why does my 4s phone mute itself? I also have a hard time hanging up after a call. The screen goes blank like it's in a sleep mode. I have to use 2 hands to make it hang up--one to hold the home button and the other to hit the end bar. I've "Reset All Settings" in General Settings like other posts have suggested. This worked for a short period of time but now the phone is back to muting itself. Why does this happen?

Over time it has developed the problem that it will not always unlock when I press mute, so I have to do a battery pull or wait at least ten minutes before it actually lets me unlock and use the device. Dec 14, 2015Something I have noticed since upgrading to Marshmallow, and probably the only thing I don't like, is that music playback, for instance Spotify, will not longer mute whenever the phone is "Speaking." In fact, it doesn't even reduce in volume at all, whenever the phone is giving feedback through Moto Voice all other sounds will continue at full volume as well.
The reason this is an issue for me is that I tend to use the phone as my music source plugged in via an Aux cable, in the past, I could have sworn that other sounds were reduced in volume or muted whenever the phone was "speaking." That made voice commands while in the car driving actually usable, but now they are not anymore. I could use things like talk to me, replying to messages, etc. but if other sounds don't get muted, I can't interact with it at all, there's too much noise with music still going.

The same problem is: If the bluetooth headset was closed first(out of power), You can not hear anything when calling or answer a call. And you'll find the button "Use the headset" appears when calling, actually the headset has already disconnect, meantime the loudspeaker becomes dumb.
Even if I closed the bluetooth function of Satio. The problem still exist. Then if You reconnect to the bluetooth headset, You can hear the sound through the bluetooth headset while playing game, music, video. But while calling, nothing could be heard, the loudspeaker becomes dumb again! You have to power off Satio and restart the phone, if you want to use the call function, not only a media player! The strange is if you closed the bluetooth of Satio first, the phone function works well.
