HTC One M8 :: Mute Camera Sounds
Jun 9, 2014Is there a way to mute or turn off the clicks and beeps of the m8 stock camera? I only see option for the shutter sound, but what about the "selfie" timer and camera choose?

Feb 5, 2010I have a bold 9700 v5.0.0.400(Platform 5.1.0.110)I always keep my phone on vibrate - I prefer it this way as I can be inconspicuous and answer at my convienience.I set an alarm the other day, and was shocked to discover it played an alarm ringtone.I also wanted to watch a movie silently, but it wouldn't let me, and started playing the track despite me thinking I had all the sounds off.Is there some master setting to mute all sounds, period?If not, how could I go about at least muting the alarm sounds?

May 18, 2012My iPhone lost all sound on Wednesday 16 May 2012 and then again this morning Friday 18 May 2012. The Mute Button was Off. I did a little research online and from what I could find out it seems to be an update issue. 5.1.1
Before doing the following I highly recommend you do an iCloud back up first. It takes 5 minutes max and then do this:
>settings>general>reset>reset all settings
This process takes about 10-15 minutes at the most.
I'm really quite irritated now because I've had to do this twice thus far and I'm expecting to have to do it again until this "bug" is worked out. Also my charging seems to have a glitch now as well. It may be an charger issue in and of itself but I really don't think so. Again I think it's the most recent update.

Jul 25, 2010i just bought the phone off of a mate knowing the problems but my g1 tottally died.so the only way i can make a call is threw a headset and also the ringtone speaker doesnt work so have to have my phone out all the time to see if i have a call/text :| when i open the camera i get "could not start the camera, close other applicaions and try oppening the camera again".
the lock and mute keys on top do not work atall and recently the volume key has stopped working. ive tried googling the problems but havent found much information on my problems. could it be the actual speaker. or the plastic midplate with the metal contacts on?im not too bothered about the camera and keys just the speakers soo i dont have to walk around with my phone in my hand with my headset in.

Jun 1, 2014When I change the position of the Mute/Silent switch, I get the icon to change (either the bell or the bell with the line through it), but the phone continues to right and never goes on silent. If the icon changes, it seems the switch must work physically, right? As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings.

Aug 24, 2010I recently purchased a W995 and I am trying to turn off the shutter sounds for the camera. I know many people with SE phones and they all tell me the same thing. You can turn them off in the settings for the camera. On my W995 there is no option for the shutter sounds to be off there is only 4 sounds to choose from. I am sure that there should be a fifth option for off but its not there. How do i turn them off? I got 10 days cooling off period on my contract and this, along with a day of wifi problems, will mean the phone will be going back if there is no resolution for it.

May 31, 2015When I open my camera app, sometimes the camera takes 1-2 seconds to initially focus and during that time it makes a loud buzzing sound. It sounds like a focus motor or something in the camera and the camera output on screen flutters while it focuses. Once it focuses, everything is normal and it doesn't make any more noise to refocus. This also doesn't happen every time I open the camera app, seems mostly random. I am already on my 2nd S6 since the first was defective for different reasons and I'm starting to get very disappointed with Samsung quality control.

May 7, 2012I've been having this problem since Sept 2011.. when I place a call, the receiving end cant hear me (they can if I either put it on speaker or use a headset), I just noticed (Ive just upgraded to ios 5.1.1) that the mute icon is always on and just gets highlighted when I press it.. either way (highlighted or not), I'm always still on mute.

May 8, 2012Why does my 4s phone mute itself? I also have a hard time hanging up after a call. The screen goes blank like it's in a sleep mode. I have to use 2 hands to make it hang up--one to hold the home button and the other to hit the end bar. I've "Reset All Settings" in General Settings like other posts have suggested. This worked for a short period of time but now the phone is back to muting itself. Why does this happen?

Jan 11, 2010I am getting constant calls from a telemarketer, the phone number is 509.221.3648, the first time they called I told the telemarketer I wasn't interested in the sex pills they were selling, now they call me non stop(I went on google, sounds like this agency does the same thing to tons of people).I wish I could reject the caller, but I've been told the best option is to create a contact and make an exception so that whenever they call me the my phone doesn't ring.

On the old bold (9000), I was able to change the volume or make it mute right on the message.
