I got my phone about a year ago and the setting button (the one with the 4 squares) no longer works. Due to other problems, i reset the phone and now have no way of getting back on it, since the setting button is the only thing that i know can get me on the internet to login to my blur account. Is there any way i could still get into blur, without using the setting button or should i just get a new phone?

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wake up this morning and had a friend chirp me on the PTT (he still has iden) and I push the button to chirp him back and nothing. He chirps me back to see if I am still there, I try again and its like I don't have PTT at all. I ended up calling him back to finish the conversation. I try making a PTT convo an it doesn't even show the "call log" that I set it up to show when I push the button. I reboot the phone and 'POOF' its back. I do understand its a new phone and might still have bugs but come next month I am gonna need that part of the phone for business and if that doesn't work then I have to switch back to 8350i...

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving major trouble as of yesterday afternoon. Seems my touch Screen is on the frits. I noticed my back button didn't work all of a sudden, but the search and home and menu buttons all still work. and i could barely unlock my phone because a strip up from the back button wasn't working. I have done all i know to do at this point, pulled the battery twice, As bad as i hated to, i did a factory reset, which did increase the speed but i lost all of my customizations, and apps. I had 122 market apps and salvaged about 20 - 40 from the market, only 4 was paid. Anyways the problem still existed. IT came back for a few minutes after about an hour after the factory restore, and started working, then went away again. and didn't work again until i started typing this thread. I know it won't last though....
I'm out of warranty and i got shot down by calling verizon for a replacement, thought i might run by a store later to see what i can do. I want to hold out on an upgrade until next year when hopefully the droid 4 will have a keyboard and 3g . I hate to upgrade to a 3g phone this year when 4g is in my area now.
1. Volume button: On my phone the volume button feels loose and wiggles. If you put your finger on the button, you can wiggle it (move it) up or down or side to side.It is not in any danger of breaking off or falling off as I looked at a pic of a droid dissembled and it shows that the button has little tabs on each end like the home button of an iPhone. But it is still very annoying. Is this normal on the Moto Milestone/Droid? or a sign of a future problem. The button works as it should but feels loose.
2. SMS: I bought the Telus version of the Milestone and I have configured it for AT&T and can browse on the internet with 3G, Edge and wifi but I cannot get or send text messages. I get no error but nobody gets them or when friends send me texts I don't get them ether.Is there some sort of configuration I need to do like put AT&T SMS number into it? I am scratching my head on this
I just received my Motoactv today and just finished all the settings, etc. It works fine while I am just holding it or sitting it on the table.. But, When I place the motoactv in my Watch or clip the back button will not work, as soon as I remove it from the watch or clip the back button works..

I hold the on button and volume high button on for three to five seconds . sometimes this works and som times it don't. If i hold the two buttons for longer a message appears about start protocolect. I have no idea what this means.

I took out the battery to reset it, but when it came back on the home button quit working, on both the front screen and the keyboard. Also, all of my calls are going straight to voicemail and the Happenings widget isn't working right. When there are no current happenings it says "keep up to date with friends in social networks". If you touch it, it says to setup a Motoblur account to use this service, but I already have one. I've tried just resetting the password on there, but that did nothing. And if I try to set it up, it comes up with a force close screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View Relatedhave had my iphone for almost 1 and a half years, and about 8 months ago my home button started wrecking; i would press it and it would either not open the iphone (take it off sleep mode to show lock screen) or the button would get stuck in and would start the voice control.. then about one week ago my vibrate button wasnt vibrating, even when i got a call or message or alarm... around one year ago, my camera started wrecking; like i would go into it and it would be blurry, and over the past year it has been getting worse and worse, and now i cant use my back camera at all.

One of them being a white/black toggle that reverses the color scheme on the phone.Seems pretty un-Apple like. The look it produces makes it look like it was jailbroken!

I have a Droid Turbo. Sometime today the little microphone button on my home page has stopped working when pressed. It only happens on my homepages on the phone, so if I tap on Google and bring up the browser page or then I can tap on the microphone and talk.
If I'm on the Home Screen; however, I can press it again and again and it is totally unresponsive. I have tried:
-turning the phone off and on again,
- going onto home-screen settings and turning google search on and off
- downloaded a anti-virus program suggested by a friend with the same phone and done searches.
This may seem like a rather small issue, but I use that microphone button a lot when using my phone.
I own a Cliq 2 and am having a very hard time using the slide bar. This evening I can't even unlock the phone to get back to texts, etc. Very frustrated yet still "have hope". Okay, my daughter unlocked my phone just now. Is it that my hands are cold?... (Warm heart of course). Truly, there has to be another way to unlock this phone and/or answer calls when it's tempermental. Sliding the keyboard open doesn't work.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSo i've been at this for two days now and i even went to my local t-mobile store.I've updated my phone via my computer since the wifi broke some time ago. Great, but I still wanted to update my phone.The wifi isn't place specific either. i've tried over 10+ locations with wifi (various friends houses, etc.). The message i get is unable to start wifi. what gives?But, after the update, i need to log into motoblur for my phone to be of any use to me at all. Guess what, the wifi doesn't work and I don't have a data plan.So do i have to pay for a data plan just to get this expensive phone to start working again? don't tell me yes because i know this is a solution. however, i don't have the money for a data plan otherwise i would have one already. and no, i don't have the money to even subscribe to one month just so i can "activate" my phone when i've already paid for all those fees.
I've tried doing a hard reset by holding the camera button and power button while the phone was off, then pressing down on the volume key followed by alt L/W. After the reset, the wifi doesn't work. not that i expected it to.I've checked my warranty. it's up. I find it a little peeving that it happen to run out near the same time the wifi broke.any fixes? Because i don't like to spend $400+ on my paper weights when i can go outside and find a rock.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble deleting telnav gps from my cliq 2. I'm removing it because I use google maps, which is free and in my opinon much better. The problem I have is when I go to Settings>>manage remove apps>> and go to telnav the options to force stop and uninstall tabs are 'not selectable'. The only executable tab was clear cache..(which I did).
Furthermore it takes up 3.39 mbs that I could use elsewhere. I called tmobile to cancel the service and they did, but I can't remove the pesky app, because its still there each time I pull up my list of apps?
