Jul 15, 2011I just installed the update on my phone and now the camera is not working correctly. It will takes a photo but the photo will not show up on the screen - it's just black. The camcorder function works fine.

May 28, 2011So I upgraded to 2.1 and [knock on wood] everything seems to work fine with one exception - the phone will not audibly ring on incoming call. Volume seems to work fine in all other instances, just not on incoming calls. Vibrate still works.

May 20, 2011I upgraded my motorola click to android 2.1 based on the instructions provided through motorola's web page. I checked all faqs and troubleshooting and have not reached a solution. After the phone restarted I was instructed to log back in to motoblur and now it is saying "the account does not exist on the blur service". It is also saying that when I try to retrieve my password from the motoblur portal. I know I have the right email address for my motoblur ID, but it appears my account has just disappeared. I haven't tried calling anyone yet because I know I will get passed around back and forth from Tmobile to Motorola. It seems there is no way to retrieve a lost id in case I have the wrong one. I did however go into the phone before I did the upgrade and verify that the motorola blur id was the email address I thought it was.

If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually?There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?

Sep 10, 2011I got my phone about a year ago and the setting button (the one with the 4 squares) no longer works. Due to other problems, i reset the phone and now have no way of getting back on it, since the setting button is the only thing that i know can get me on the internet to login to my blur account. Is there any way i could still get into blur, without using the setting button or should i just get a new phone?

Dec 12, 2011I have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. Jul 30, 2012The screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works.We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration.Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?

Nov 4, 2012Ever since the ICS upgrade my camera and video has been problematic. I upgraded to ICS as part of the advance feedback network group and reported this then, but it's still unstable.
Whenever I take pictures or video, if I do anything shortly (such as viewing the photo or exiting the camera) after it locks up the phone, and the phone reboots. I have done a factory reset, wiped the cache partition, my phone is not rooted, and the problem still persists. Is anyone else seeing this problem or have recommendations on a fix? This has made taking photos and video a rare task when I'd prefer to do it regularly, but I don't enjoy the phone restarting and losing the picture or video I took.

May 12, 2011I recently upgraded my defy (with optus) to android 2.2 and haven't had many issues.
One thing that bugs me is when i take images with my camera now, they don't appear in the gallery. The small diplay on the bottom left displays the image but as soon as i click on it to view the image it appears to delete it.

Jun 15, 2011Ok so after having to replace the earpiece under warranty I thought would risk another outage to my Defy. It was bought sim-free and I use my work SIM in it from Vodafone. So ran through the upgrade, and it worked first time ... until wifi. Wifi does not connect or rather from what I can determine I cannot actually obtain an IP address. For it to actually connect to the hub I have to force the settings to toggle the "Enable Auto IP" setting and manually set the channel to the same as my hub. (not had to do that with any other phone ... ) by the way, this still does not give me a data connectionAlso tried setting a static IP address and related settings and that does not work either Did a factory reset as recommended on the other pages - no avail.My hub runs WPA/WPA2 and I have a variety of devices connecting to it, trouble free, including 2 other Android 2.2 phones (HTC Desire Z and LG Optimus One), Windows XP, Windows 7, PS3 etc etc ... oh and once I had a Defy running 2.1 Eclair connecting trouble free?

Dec 31, 2011I own a Cliq 2 and am having a very hard time using the slide bar. This evening I can't even unlock the phone to get back to texts, etc. Very frustrated yet still "have hope". Okay, my daughter unlocked my phone just now. Is it that my hands are cold?... (Warm heart of course).
