I recently upgraded my defy (with optus) to android 2.2 and haven't had many issues.
One thing that bugs me is when i take images with my camera now, they don't appear in the gallery. The small diplay on the bottom left displays the image but as soon as i click on it to view the image it appears to delete it.
I just installed the update on my phone and now the camera is not working correctly. It will takes a photo but the photo will not show up on the screen - it's just black. The camcorder function works fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently connected the phone to my computer in the data transfer mode (see SD card as a windows device). There I cleaned up the .dcim folder: moved and deleted hundreds of pictures.
However Gallery still show them all as being on the phone. They appear in the overview complete with small 'icon' version. But the real pictures are of course not there.
I cannot get rid of the icons or the different index tags. For removed pictures the delete option is simply not there. Delete is only a possibility for pictures that are still on the device.
On my HTC one m7 I was able to draw, write and/or edit the picture in a variety of ways directly from the stock camera/gallery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Samsung Galaxy S-5, and after a Samsung software update (performed on February 13, 2015) all of my pictures in my Gallery under my camera tab have disappeared. I called Samsung and they had me search the phone in several places to look for the pictures with no luck. Has anyone lost pictures after an update? How to find my photos? I did not have auto-back up on, but I do now.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have updated my n8 to anna with all the required files. but after update i noticed that the gallery only shows the images that i have clicked with camera not other pics in the pictures folder. when i later moved those pics from pictures folder to camera folder i was able to see them in gallery. now this isnt convenient.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am in Thailand, with a Defy which isnt locked to any carrier. The 2.2 upgrade is now supposed to be available here. I have never been able to access updates directly from the phone - About phone/System updates, says the service is unavailable, whether I connect via 3G or wifi. When I download and run the lastest version of MSU C01.16.10, it tells me "There is no software update currently available for your mobile device. Please check back for new releases." My APflex version is GAS_ASIA_USAJORDANRTINT15_P003. My firmware version is 2.1-update, Am I doing something wrong?
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhenever I check for update I'm told there is an update for the Kindle app but I can't get the update to work on my Defy. The install from the Android Market gets a "Not properly signed" message and the install from the Amazon Appstore just plain gets a "Install failed".
Am I stuck with the old version of the KIndle app because its a system app with Motoblur? Doesn't seem to make much sense to preload an app on a phone in such a way that the app can't be updated!
if motorola Defy+ will get an ice cream sandwich upgrade.

View 7 Replies View RelatedEver since the ICS update, my gallery likes to not show the pictures that are on my phone. They were visible pre-ICS, but are now not. If I use a file manager I can see that they are still on my phone and even view them, but they refuse to pop up in my gallery. I have tried the unmounting and mounting of my SD card as I have seen people wiht similar problems do, but have had no success.
Is there a new folder that the pictures need to be moved to to be seen by the gallery app? I'm guessing no because they did occassionally show up after the update, but now won't at all. Still, worth asking.
How can I transfer pictures which I can see in Gallery to my PC? When I use ES File Explorer or File Manager those apps cannot find these pictures on the internal storage or external card but those albums and photos are visible in Gallery. The file manager apps see some albums but not all of those visible in Gallery. The PC cannot see them either using Windows Explorer as it only sees the same albums which the Xoom file manager apps can see.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk so after having to replace the earpiece under warranty I thought would risk another outage to my Defy. It was bought sim-free and I use my work SIM in it from Vodafone. So ran through the upgrade, and it worked first time ... until wifi. Wifi does not connect or rather from what I can determine I cannot actually obtain an IP address. For it to actually connect to the hub I have to force the settings to toggle the "Enable Auto IP" setting and manually set the channel to the same as my hub. (not had to do that with any other phone ... ) by the way, this still does not give me a data connectionAlso tried setting a static IP address and related settings and that does not work either Did a factory reset as recommended on the other pages - no avail.My hub runs WPA/WPA2 and I have a variety of devices connecting to it, trouble free, including 2 other Android 2.2 phones (HTC Desire Z and LG Optimus One), Windows XP, Windows 7, PS3 etc etc ... oh and once I had a Defy running 2.1 Eclair connecting trouble free?

I just set up the google account and logged in to Gtalk... again after the phone goes to sleep mode Gtalk gets automatically logged off and hence i dont receive any msg. I have kept the batery manager in Performance Mode.I am having this problem since very begining inmy defy. However my friend using samsung spica with 2.1 doennot have this problem and remains online and receiving msg instantly.

Mostly because the Motorola software interface killed my computer.I should be able to just connect the phone and move things like I would from any external memory device, just copy and paste or move, etc.Specifically, I'd like to move my photos from the gallery to my computer (without emailing them to myself).I have Windows 7 and currenty when I connect the phone my PC can't find the driver, so the phone won't show up in My Computer, so I can't do anything.

Duplicates of the original 500... Now the same folder contains 1500 photos, 3 copies of each of the original 500.. This is happening with all the gallery folders.. They all have 3 copies of each pic in each folder.This is the first Xoom released LTE-WI-FI model,Can anyone give me a reason why they keep multiplying like rabbits..
