Galaxy S6 :: Small Purple Dots On Selfie Mode Camera
May 6, 2015
So close to being done with this phone as much as I like it. I've had so many problems. I now have purple dots on my selfie mode camera. They don't go away and Ive done a hard reset, too. I backed up using smart switch and when trying to restore I am getting an error and can't get my stuff back from smart switch. So frustrating. And even with the reset I still am having the small purple dots.
Just got this phone a few months ago and it's been great. However, something's wrong with the settings on my camera and I can't figure it out. When I'm ready to shoot, it's fine. But when I got into Selfie Mode, the whole picture is cropped.
Whenever I put on the camera to selfie mode I see a red light in the led flash, don't ask why I look at the back of the phone when I'm taking a selfie lol, but just something I noticed as I placed my finger on the red light it lit up like a Christmas tree! I understand this is the heart rate sensor but why would it light up on if put my finger on it and light off when I take my finger off... If I'm camera mode taking a selfie?!
I haven't had this problem till yesterday, and I'm getting very angry by it not because I love taking selfies, but cause I bought this phone for $600+ and a month later its a defect?
How is this possible? I wiped the cache in the power+VUP+Home screen, I went to camera app settings and cleared data/cache, I don't know how it got there and it's VERY annoying
The ONLY thing I can think of his it got there due to heat, I went to the pool and I left my phone in my wife's purse under a shirt so the son wouldn't hit it but I guess it was still hot inside. because for a month and a half I never had the dot. and yes I've read about the "only shows in low light" ive taken plenty of low light shots and never saw if there prior to 2 days ago
The front facing camera produces a purple line through the top middle of my display and when I snap a photo it remains. Is this hardware? I tested it with the google camera app as well. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6
Ok, I got the G3 and I wanted to test the selfie mode with the blemish thing or whatever or see what it'd do. I adjust the slider to mask any little bit of redness, but when I take the picture and go to look at it, it's as if the blemish slider was just for a preview since it doesn't apply on the picture itself. Like...I adjust the slider, take the picture, then look at it, and it shows what it would look like without the slider.
So I noticed that in the Best Buy store I work in we have a display model of the G4 and the brightness of the selfie camera is quite a bit brighter than mine.
Just bought my HTC One M9 and I've realised that the selfie camera is very blurry! I've tried playing around with the settings but nothing! This phone is second hand, is it possible that it's broken? What would the charges be for fixing it?
on your 2nd gen moto X with moto voice, have you ever noticed when you tell it to take a selfie with a selfie command, it starts up the regular camera not the forward facing camera with a 3 second countdown timer?
So I just noticed something weird about an hour ago. When using the camera, I find a small, subtle, deformed line. When I zoom in to the area, it gets bigger.
I've tried other camera apps, but it's still there. As far as I know, I did not scratch the lens in any way. I took a video yesterday that doesn't have the line on it.
It was there on the Verizon 12a update, and did not disappear when I got the small update. If it gets to the point, I can easily replace the lens, correct?
Okay, so camera always worked perfectly. Yesterday received KitKat update 4.4.2 and now in low light conditions my camera has a purple hue.
This is not a hardware issue. It is clearly a software issue and the 4.4.2 KitKat update appears to be garbage. My girlfriend has the exact same issue since updating to 4.4.2.
I have noticed of late, when using my camera that sometimes I get purple lines going across the screen. This only seems to happen when using the camera via the native Apple "Camera" app. Â
So I've had this problem for quite a while. There is 2 black dots in the lens, pictures and videos I took. I've got no idea how to get rid of them. Can someone please tell me how to open the it properly so I can clean the lens? Heres how it looks like.
Here is the picture where the problem is most obvious: [URL] ....
As you can see, there are 5 green dots in the picture. I understand that when taking direct pictures of a sundown etc., that there might be some lens flare in the picture, but these dots are caused by the lights of a CHRISTMAS TREE! (How many people are going be taking pictures of their Christmas tree in the coming few weeks..?) Also, no matter how I positioned my camera, the dots still continued to show in other pictures as well, forcing me to delete them. Â
What are my options here? Buy Photoshop and edit the dots out and accept that a 899€ phone has a bunch of camera issues, or is it possible that apple could at some point fix these lens flare issues in an update?
I got my Xperia pro yesterday, and when I tried testing the camera I found photos taken with it had huge translucent purple bars across them. This happened with every photo I attempted take. I then exited the camera app and went back in, and when I tried to take another photo it simply displayed "unknown error" and the app closed. It now does this every single time, meaning I cannot take photos at all.I cannot find any other reports of this issue online, and I have myself tried formatting the SD card; performing a factory reset on the phone itself and reinstalling the software using the PC Companion. None of these have worked and appears to have actually made the issue worse; now it will sometimes refuse the start the app altogether and display "Camera not available".
The camera on the back of my phone recently developed a reddish-purple spot in the middle of the lense. I tried cleaning the outside of the lense really well, and it does not appear to be scratched on the outside, I'm wondering if dust somehow got inside the lense. all of my pictures now have a dot in the middle of them. Can this be fixed, or can my phone be replaced?
I have an Xperia Z2 updated with android 4.4.4. When I try to take pictures at night I just get purple photos. This started just a few weeks ago out of nowhere. Let me say that the lens is not dirty nor blocked by anything. I don't have a case. I have just restored the phone today with Sony PC Companion and still the same issue.
I've searched and can't find an answer to this. Lately (more and more) my Tour is taking pics that are purple and half-screen. Anyone know why? Is there something I can do to fix this? I pull my battery every morning and charge my phone every night. Please help, I have a 2 year old who has finally decided to let me take pics of him and now I'm missing the cuteness..
While I'm not a huge photo taker, I find it really annoying to snap one and have this purple tint above it. I've noticed that my camera cover has tiny scratches in the center. I'm pretty sure that's what is causing the purple tint maybe the reflection of the light.
On some (but not all) apps it just seems to be there towards the bottom of the screen. If you press it you can drag it to other areas of the screen. It seems like it's a floating menu button. Is there some setting that turns this on and off?
today i tried using the slowmotion mode in the camera, and before you start recording the camera show good details but after you start recording the detail drops a lot, its like 360p or 480p....the resolution in fact is 720p but it doesn't look like it at all....is this how it supposed to be??
Actually i dont know how to toggle off the beauty mode on the front camera and its causing a lag in the camera. Secondly how to enable touch focus while using the front facing camera?
Recently got galaxy s6. I am facing one issue, my front camera lags in no effect mode especially in low light. As soon as i click wkde mode lag goes away. With 3rd party app front camera is not lagging.
