I've searched and can't find an answer to this. Lately (more and more) my Tour is taking pics that are purple and half-screen. Anyone know why? Is there something I can do to fix this? I pull my battery every morning and charge my phone every night. Please help, I have a 2 year old who has finally decided to let me take pics of him and now I'm missing the cuteness..

I tried searching the forum but i didnt find anything, my tour has been restarting (3 times in the last week or so) when i try to take a picture and its really annoying, just goes black and red led light flashes then i usually miss whatever im trying to photograph since i have to wait a few minutes for it to restart just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if its enough to get a replacement from verizon..this is my second tour my first trackball got stuck for hours.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI needed to do a security wipe on my phone, I wanted it back to factory settings, like right out of the box. I was running OS 5.0.0.419, and went to Options > Security > and used the Security Wipe option. I chose to wipe contacts, emails, and device data. I did not choose to wipe the media/sd card though. Only device memory was to be wiped.I see the "Erasing information... Warning: Do not pull the battery out until erasing is complete" message, but it has been going on for about 2 hours now. Should it be taking this long?
I see the hourglass spinning, then it disappears, then in a bit comes back...I read online that it normally takes about an hour to do this, but I'm going on 2 hours now and it's still isn't finished.What would happen if I removed the battery while it's in the middle of this? I can't tell if it's frozen up or not, I've never seen it take this long to do a wipe.
I am using Blackberry Desktop software to switch data from old Tour to new Tour and realized mid-way through the switch that I don't have the latest Desktop software installed. The device switch feature "Task in Process 'is going on 3 hours at this point and I'm afraid to stop it and restart it given the warning that the device may become unusable if you disconnect. Should I just disconnect it anyway? Download the latest software and try again? I don't think it should be taking 3 hours to complete this switch!

The front facing camera produces a purple line through the top middle of my display and when I snap a photo it remains. Is this hardware? I tested it with the google camera app as well. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6

While trying to take a photo in relatively dark place with flash on, whilst camera focusing, some purple clouds appear at the bottom of the screen in general (sometimes at the left side as well) I also realized that if I focus just 1 item, there is no purple clouds problem.

The camera application will work, it will autofocus, and when I take the picture it shows up perfect on the screen but the after 2 seconds the picture will completely distort and just be a screen with a bunch of colors going across. Cannot even see the picture. Looks almost like a TV that has no reception. I tried sending the pic and it is still just the static looking screen. I have changed the settings for the picture quality and didnt change anything. I pulled the battery and did a hard restart and no change. Any ideas? I would take it in to Verizon but I bought it 3rd party and it has no warranty.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI see a lot of publicity pics of the Tour with the bridge splash screen shown, thought I'd like it for a background pic...(My splash screen is the Verizon check from the "Verizon Zen" theme).I have a custom background pic for my Tour, several actually, but was wondering how to get the bridge pic from the "Precision Zen" theme so I could use it as a background pic..Also - Is it possible to "save" and restore a loaded ROM theme??? Like, if I had the AT&T or T-Mobile "Zen" theme, could I load it into my Verizon Tour??? And if I could find a like-minded soul who wanted to swap Tour themes (Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc), how would I swap or add a branded theme?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI had changed in my camera options to "store pictures" on the sd card NOT "in device memory".A few days ago while taking some pics I maxed out the sd card and while trying to back out hit "ok" to something not sure what it was. but it changed the bb setting back to "device memory" and now when I try to change my camera options of "store pictures" back to the sd card it stays in "in device memory" and gives me no other option to use the sd card (which i did clean out some pics for space). It does show a folder where it is storing pics I take though but when I click the trackball to change from device memory it only shows

View 14 Replies View RelatedWell, I've been running 5.0 OS's for months, and I'm not sure exactly when this problem happened, but my video camera stopped recording sound. Speaker phone and the voice notes recorder work fine.
I wiped the phone, formatted the SD card, and went back to the 4.7.1.65 os.I've still got no sound. Is there actually a different mic for the video camera than the speaker phone and the voice notes recorder?I've pulled the files onto my computer to verify that there is absolutely no sound.
The first is in the top left in between the speaker picture and the time, it says the number 1and then a line with two small circles above it at each end, like an upside down pair of glasses.The second is on the right underneath the service bars, and is a circle with 2 lines through it, one horizontal one vertical.These symbols don't appear to be in the manual. any clue what they mean?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Tour 9630 for Sprint and I plugged it into my iMac last night to charge via USB and it was perfectly fine the whole time.When i woke up in the morn (the comp also went to sleep all night long) the phone screen was blank (black) and the red LED light was solid with no blinking. I unplugged the phone and the screen stayed blank and the light stayed on. I pressed the power button on the phone and the screen showed the little clock with rotating hands (like it was processing something) and then it went blank again and the LED light came back on.It did this 3 times before i took the battery out.I left the battery out for about 25mins and when i put it back in nothing happened at all. I pressed the power button and still nothing. The only thing that happens is when i plug it back in the comp, the solid red LED light comes back on - but still nothing on the screen.Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas for me? Did i fry the battery by leaving it plugged into a dormant comp?

It not an option but it may be a theme if so someone point me to the right direction.
Today i took ount my phones battery and placed it back in and the black black ground with "blackberry" cpomes out and it starts to load but the bar stops at about 70%.
i try taking out the battery couple of times and it still didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks youuuuu
I am on .230 and I have noticed that with only one of my contacts when I get a text message I get the alert but no notification on my screen. It sux cause if I don't hear it I never know I get a message from this person. What makes it worse is that I get messages from this person all the time so it's not a one in a while issue.

It goes through the boot up process but then it gets stuck at the splash screen. I removed my memory card to see if that was the issue but it wasn't. Do you think downgrading the firmware will fix this issue?

Can't stand what it did to all my icons, moved stuff around, etc. I cannot find my icon for the screen/keyboard lock. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I just noticed something weird about an hour ago. When using the camera, I find a small, subtle, deformed line. When I zoom in to the area, it gets bigger.
I've tried other camera apps, but it's still there. As far as I know, I did not scratch the lens in any way. I took a video yesterday that doesn't have the line on it.
It was there on the Verizon 12a update, and did not disappear when I got the small update. If it gets to the point, I can easily replace the lens, correct?
