I am new to blackberry and loving it. I miss having my calendar on my homescreen. Is there a way to customize the home screen? Would like to see upcoming calendar events and shortcuts to all the things I use regularly instead of just the 6 things on the bottom.

It not an option but it may be a theme if so someone point me to the right direction.

I have never had one before so I am not sure how to get the new message indicator off the top of my home screen. The thing is I don't have any new messages. I had deleted all the messages in all of the folders. I did a battery pull and it still won't turn off.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Tour and am running OS v5.0.0.662. I would like to have a folder on my home screen that shows ONLY MMS messages, not SMS with MMS. I have searched this forum and Google but have run out of patience. I see plenty of solutions to separate email messages from SMS/MMS, but this is not what I want to do. I know that I can go into View Folder and navigate to the MMS Inbox folder, which shows only MMS messages. So, how can I get a shortcut to this on the home screen?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi saw on kevin's Internet video about the blackberry messenger stress test that it said "crackberry.com" at the top where it would normally say the network's name. is there a way i can actually enter in what i want or at least have the network's name on there? it's really annoying to have that blank space there at the top of the screen. it looks awkward for me.

The message indicator on the home screen sometimes displays to the left of the time, and sometimes to the right. I thought at first it was an am/pm thing, but 10 minutes ago (8:41 ayem now) it was on the right, and now it just jumped to the left.
Is it possible to customize the mobile home screen without any apps?I used to see my mails in the desktop, but now I can't, after a firmware update. Also, I want to remove "Ovi Share" from the desktop menu, as I don't use this service.Even if it is not possible to customize everything, is there anything that we can alter?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIm a breand new BLACKBERRY user "TOUR 9630" purchased last week. As I hate to wear my glasses, is there any way to enlarge the FONT on the HOME SCREEN? Or is there a good "THEME" that someone can recommend that will allow me to change the FONTS on the HOME SCREEN? I have enlarged the FONTS on the rest of the screens ( emails, text's etc) but am stuck with the microscopic fonts on the home screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a new blackberry tour and I'm having a heck of a time moving new apps that I downloaded to my homepage. I downloaded three apps and was able to move them to the homepage with no problem by clicking the blackberry button and selecting "move to home". That is very clear and I understand the concept.
But for some reason I can't move any other apps. I can't move my facebook app because there is no option to "move to homepage" or "move". Pandora and all of these apps are located in My world in the Black Berry app world.Can anyone help me? maybe I'm missing something simple.
However when I connect to BB desktop manager the phone is identified with the correct PIN. The fact that it is zero at home>options>status is causing some of my apps to fail to work.

I see a lot of publicity pics of the Tour with the bridge splash screen shown, thought I'd like it for a background pic...(My splash screen is the Verizon check from the "Verizon Zen" theme).I have a custom background pic for my Tour, several actually, but was wondering how to get the bridge pic from the "Precision Zen" theme so I could use it as a background pic..Also - Is it possible to "save" and restore a loaded ROM theme??? Like, if I had the AT&T or T-Mobile "Zen" theme, could I load it into my Verizon Tour??? And if I could find a like-minded soul who wanted to swap Tour themes (Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc), how would I swap or add a branded theme?

I just used my upgrade on the verizon blackberry tour 9630, I'm a big texter and absolutely LOVED my env2! Any helpful hints? Advice to a new user? I actually will not get my phone till next week.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Tour 9630 for Sprint and I plugged it into my iMac last night to charge via USB and it was perfectly fine the whole time.When i woke up in the morn (the comp also went to sleep all night long) the phone screen was blank (black) and the red LED light was solid with no blinking. I unplugged the phone and the screen stayed blank and the light stayed on. I pressed the power button on the phone and the screen showed the little clock with rotating hands (like it was processing something) and then it went blank again and the LED light came back on.It did this 3 times before i took the battery out.I left the battery out for about 25mins and when i put it back in nothing happened at all. I pressed the power button and still nothing. The only thing that happens is when i plug it back in the comp, the solid red LED light comes back on - but still nothing on the screen.Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas for me? Did i fry the battery by leaving it plugged into a dormant comp?

i try taking out the battery couple of times and it still didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks youuuuu
I am on .230 and I have noticed that with only one of my contacts when I get a text message I get the alert but no notification on my screen. It sux cause if I don't hear it I never know I get a message from this person. What makes it worse is that I get messages from this person all the time so it's not a one in a while issue.

It goes through the boot up process but then it gets stuck at the splash screen. I removed my memory card to see if that was the issue but it wasn't. Do you think downgrading the firmware will fix this issue?

Can't stand what it did to all my icons, moved stuff around, etc. I cannot find my icon for the screen/keyboard lock. I don't know what other buttons I can press that would lock my screen so that it doesnt press buttons when its in my purse. help me lock my screen/keyboard!

Also, when I connect to my computer via USB, I no longer get the message asking it I want to use it as a USB device or not? Is this part of the upgrade?

I removed the AP News program and on the next reboot, it comes up with the error screen that says Reload Software 552. I didn't back up anything because I didn't even foresee this coming. I'm reading that I have to completely reinstall the OS again, and I've also read that I can go into my Blackberry on my computer and remove the newly installed(and in this case, uninstalled) application. I'm not currently home so I can't try this but I'm wondering if anyone has other solutions. This is super weird because I had a dream I jumped into a pool with my phone last night and it broke.

I changed the housing in my Tour to make it white but the trackball doesn't sit right and i have a problem scrolling down. I can't seem to get the trackball to sit properely in this housing its just not centered. If i can put a curve trackball in, which model curve do i use?
