Is it possible to customize the mobile home screen without any apps?I used to see my mails in the desktop, but now I can't, after a firmware update. Also, I want to remove "Ovi Share" from the desktop menu, as I don't use this service.Even if it is not possible to customize everything, is there anything that we can alter?

I am new to blackberry and loving it. I miss having my calendar on my homescreen. Is there a way to customize the home screen? Would like to see upcoming calendar events and shortcuts to all the things I use regularly instead of just the 6 things on the bottom.

There's only one thing that's been bothering me about x10..it's the blue menu screen that I can't change unless we root the phone. Whether SE will have any update to allow for a 'customizable' menu screen?
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have just bought the atrix 2 a couple of days back and i updated to 2.3.6 (surprisingly) i have the stock lockscreen and wanted to customise it, as in it just has 2 options sound and unlock, i have seen someplace that you can add a 3rd and 4th option also as in some application on the top or bottom also another problem i have faced is with the facebook notifications, i donot recieve them at all, i have to manually check them on facebook application.

Now it only sends "Nokia", but that means there must be a function for the "sending part".Had a SonyEricsson W980i before and it had this function. It's not a must, but is really neat when using the FM-transmitter in the car. Nokia doesn't want to be worse than SE, does it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

If i use home screen theme Contacts bar i get the email, contacts etc. but if i use shortcuts bar i get the calender on the home screen.
But what i want is the email, contact, and the calender on the home screen.
I have a problem with my phone, whenever i try to click on on of the two icons at the bottom of my screen ( Home screen/NOT MENU). It does not work, so i can not enter a new number or call someone, with out changing the home screen option. Can you tell me what the matter is.
I can still use my phone and call but the home screen, setting at the moment i really do not like. I know this may not be properly clear to understand, if you need more info just send me a message.
I recently got my new mini back from the local Nokia Care centre after repair (Screen broke). Before it went for repair it was perfect and did all I needed it to do. Now however I have a multitude of problems. Most of these I have resolved with a little bit of research. For some unknown reason when I try to add content to one of the three single app "windows" I get a very restricted selection of apps to add. ie Wlan scan is not on the list. If I edit one of the multi app windows, all of the apps are there, so it knows where the apps are..
Also I have another query. Is it possible to re-install the firmware as opposed to updating it ? It was on all of the previous Nokia's I had, but this does not seem to be an option with the N97 mini. I feel that my local Nokia centre is a bit short in the expertise department and I am somewhat loathe to take it back to them in case they screw it up completely.
After updating software by Nokia Software Updater, on the Homesreen isn't showed date. It's small problem, but please help.I heard hacked software should help but I don't want install non-original soft on my phone.

I am returned to the home screen but now the shortcut I had for my email account inbox is gone, replaced by a shortcut to the music store. I had to manually fix this several times but then I discovered that just leaving it after a while the correct icon would reappear.

When I went to put the home menu back to contacts bar it just goes back to basic (but with no tick to show it is selected). If I highlight contact bar in the menu then select options then set it says (no data). Any ideas. I just downloaded the last software last week and wonder if it is a bug.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently done a factory reset & software reinstallation (which seems to have improved the erratic autorotate behaviour).However, my gmail emails no longer appear on the home screen (although they are syncing as I can access them in the Email app.).I've searched through various settings but can't get them to appear.
I recently updated my 5800 xpressmusic to V 40.0.005. Sadly it wasn't just good stuff like faster menus, better unlocking-feature and more practical texting, it came with some annoying errors too.
My problem lies in the Home-Screen and its shortcuts, I got some trouble in Home-screen settings too, but not as important. I can't use the dialer and contacts-buttons on the touchscreen, I get a confirming response from the vibrator but nothing really happens. The same with the calendar-shortcut when you push the date-button above the contact-shortcuts on screen.
The green and red button won't work in the Home-screen either, although they work everywhere ells. I have tried to soft-reset, is there any other option than hard-reset and would it solve my problems?
