I'm running Android 4.1.1 on my Xoom.I'm trying to consolidate my game shortcuts to a single panel, but the customize icon, '+' does not appear on the upper righthand corner of the home screen.What happened to it and how do I get it back?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have just bought the atrix 2 a couple of days back and i updated to 2.3.6 (surprisingly) i have the stock lockscreen and wanted to customise it, as in it just has 2 options sound and unlock, i have seen someplace that you can add a 3rd and 4th option also as in some application on the top or bottom also another problem i have faced is with the facebook notifications, i donot recieve them at all, i have to manually check them on facebook application.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSeems like such a stupid question but I've finally given up and will show my lake of smarts. When you are in a forum posting how do you get back to the home screen that shows all of the messages? I've tried pressing in the title line at the top but that doesn't do anything. The actions button only has a option to report spam. The only way I've figured out is to use the back button over and over till I get home or use the favorites button to get to the home screen. It works ok on my desktop but not on the xoom. I'm using the stock browser and with the previous version of the site there was always a link at the top to return home?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAt home, I have my xoom set to automatically connect to my home WiFi network. But, recently, my xoom constantly disconnects from the WiFi. For example, when I open Google Talk, the application is disconnected and must reconnect...every time I open it up. Plus the WiFi icon at the bottom of the Xoom will go from blue color to white color automatically. I even have the setting checked to stay connected to this WiFi network when in range.

All the other menus or navigating around the phone is smooth as silk. I do run a live wallpaper but changing to a static one it seems the same. With all the horsepower this phone is supposed to have I expected those screens to just to fly by smoothly.
I have a 6 week old ZOOM WiFi which in the last week has started to endlessly reboot when attempting to connect to my home network. It stops rebooting when Wi-Fi is turned off. When WiFi is turned back on, the rebooting starts again. Before I realised what was causing the reboot, I restored it to factory settings, and this seemed to work for a few days. No apps have been downloaded since then. I have tried a soft reboot without success.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a daughther that is 16 months old and sometimes while traveling we will start a movie on the Xoom for her to watch. But being that she is young, she loves to touch the screen which usually causes the movie to stop.
I have searched the Google Play for an app that would allow the screen and buttons to lock for a toddler and still show what is on the screen, but I have not found one yet. The screen could still be unlocked, but it would be like the lid to a medicine bottle, only a grown-up could unlock it.
My Photon automatically defaults to the dial screen when I press the call button from the home screen. It used to display the last tab used or recent calls if I had missed one. I have scanned through all of the options and can't seem to find an option to change this.

Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

The Xoom was dropped on a tile floor and had multiple cracks in the glass, but was still functional. Just want all you fellow Xoom owners to know it can be done yourself if you have at least a bit of skills (and a hair dryer).

I've noticed an issue since I got the tablet a few months ago; every once in a while, when opening a URL from outside the browser, the screen will flicker, like the connection to the LCD has gone bad. It is corrected by tilting the tablet to change the orientation from landscape to portrait, and then everything is fine. The issue only happens when opening the browser from inside another app - by clicking on a link in the gmail app, for instance.
