I am having a hard time finding stuff to delete, because the System Data is taking up more and more of my storage. Is there any way I can reclaim most of it back? I transferred most, if not all, of the storage consuming apps to my SD card.

Are those two directories accessible without root? Yesterday I noticed that in any file manager both of those seem to be empty or in the FX File Explorer it was "Access was denied". I'm on stock 6.0
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy computer that I back up my iPhone 4 died before I could get iOS 5 for cloud, now my 32mb phone is full, mostly of precious baby photos and videos. I cannot update to ios5 to get cloud without losing all my stored contacts music and photos. Is there any way around this without purchasing a new computer, which with a new baby we cannot afford. I could afford to pay for extra cloud storage, though.

I've searched and can't find an answer to this. Lately (more and more) my Tour is taking pics that are purple and half-screen. Anyone know why? Is there something I can do to fix this? I went and deleted them all even though I only had 18 conversations and after deleting every single one its still taking up 6.6 GB!I have no messages anymore but its wasting all my storage for some reason??

And my s5 is running HOT. I can't put my finger on it. I went from 100% battery to 11% in less than 6 hours on standby. What processes may be draining he battery? Location is off, battery doctor and CM security take care of all junk and background apps, sync is disabled. I'm shocked!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using the default iCloud storage plan. Since this is only 5GB, I don't back up anything but WhatsApp besides contacts, mail and notes. I don't even have Photo Stream enabled. WhatsApp only takes up 1.3 GB, and I regularly delete redundant notes and keep my iCloud inbox completely clean (by forwarding emails to my other accounts), which would mean that my contacts take up around 3GB. This is impossible as I have only 100+ contacts and don't sync them with my Facebook contacts.Â
What's even weirder is that the iCloud usage tab tells me that there is 703 MB available of 5.0 GB on iCloud, but is unable to back up my phone due to needing an extra 3.9 GB of storage.how I could manage my iCloud storage more effectively.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G25F) and I'm trying to move an app to system but it says system storage is full. I have been searching for a while but couldn't find any solution, every search result take to "how to free up internal storage" but what i need is to free up system storage. My device is rooted and my storages reads as:
Root: 1.57MB free of 3.53GB
Internal storage: 2.8GB free of 25.31GB
So the one I need to free up is root as i need to move an app to system and its not possible if its full.
P.S: i didnt install any apps in system or I would have deleted or moved them to internal storage. I dont even know what taking up all this space.
Says I have 10 GB left but I'm getting a notification saying "Not Enough Storage Space for System" and another notification saying "Storage Space Running Out". This is causing super slow boot up, terrible battery life, the back of the phone is hot, email not syncing, laggy everything. I tried a cache wipe and cleaning files using All-in-one toolbox. Phone died and this is what happened when I tried booting up after a charge. Any way before a factory reset?

I'm having issues with the brightness of the screen of my iphone 5.
The bottom half of the display is less bright than the upper half.
It came into contact with water but not in a high amount, about five drops hit the iphone and I dried them imminently away.
I still got the protection plan active, but it would be better if I could fix it right away. Â Â

I have moved my images,videos,ringtones,music (not many) and some apps that are allowed, to the SD card. The image shows that the music, pictures, videos, and some of the apps (it should be lower than 1.99gb) is still there. Am I doing something wrong? Even the SD card information still shows the total space of nothing being added..

The S5 implementation of the data was horrible and Samsung is not to concerned it seems. At least Apple clearly outlines how and where the data is stored.
I had an iphone 4 that was 32 gigs and now am trying to restore my new i phone 4s that is 16 gigs. I think I may have too many pics to fit into the 16 gigs. Will this create problems restoring? Can I restore this new phone and leave the old pictures out?

I know some people are not aware that they can clear out cached data (for All Apps). Is it good to clear it out daily? I do realize that you may need to download the same data again say if you are using apps like Facebook and Zedge and many others.

My email application used 373mb of data in two days just synching two Hotmail accounts, and I don't get many emails! My Nokia was set to use push email every 15 minutes and hardly used any of my 1Gb allowance on Virgin mobile UK. I have had to set my S2 to never synch and do it manually instead, which is rather annoying upgrading to a phone which can't do what my older one did perfectly, I am using the S2 's own data usage tool to monitor my usage,I assume it is accurate?

first thing is, i looked at 3G watchdog thismorning, and my device had been eating 200 MB's of internet WHILE I WAS SLEEPING this is not normal use and i have no clue what caused it (i installed 3g watchdog pro this morning)
second thing is, my android system process seems to be eating away battery life rapidly, its using up to 40% cpu (according to watchdog) and com.htc.bg is using roughly 20% okay, i just saw something happening, i restored a backup, watched my cpu, and then my virus scanner said something about com.android.vending being installed, and i saw my android system process skyrocket in cpu usage
yes, i have rooted my phone, and yes i deleted some system applications (like facebook, htc facebook, and some other crappy useless stuff, nothing that should harm my phone)

I have a variety of apps that create export or backup files. How can the apps access the SD card storage directly? I recently replaced (under warrenty) my Bionic and it was a pain. I backed up everthing (app data that is) thinking the "backup" was going to the SD card, since all I got was a file address (or name). Once I moved the battery, SIM and SD card from one phone to the other, I realized that all the files were on the internal staroage and still on the old phone, not the SD card. This meant moving all of the hardware back to the old phone, finding all of the files stored on the internal storage, moving them to the SD card, switching everything back to the new phone and moving the files from the SD card to the internal storage - all the time hoping I got them in the right place (which wasn't necessarily the case all of the time).

It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft Outlook Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install intellisync through the Wizard and I get a "successfully installed message, but when I click "OK" the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found" appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks, or clear deleted e-mails etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.
