Each time I connect my 5233 via datacable and when disconnected then following happens.Current theme takes a while to appear backMessage storage memory goes to c: phone memory and i have to manually change to e:memory cardis there a fix for this, I'm running the latest firmware and using windows 7 ultimate.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my nokia 5233 sometime in january it worked fine until april or so, it would switch off automatically.At first I disregarded it thinking that i would have pressed the power button by mistake.Since two days this phenomenon is happening atleast about 7-8 times.I wouldn't like to take my phone to the Nokia care yet coz here in my country the Nokia care guys try to fleece you saying something has gone wrong which is not covered by warranty.Would any of you guys help me in diagnosing the problem so that I can fix it myself before I take it to nokia care?

It was purchased SIM-free in June 2011 and has been running with an Orange UK SIM until 2 days ago when I switched it over to GiffGaff.
I wanted to try to preserve some text messages, but not sure if they are on the old SIM or in phone/SD memory.
I did have to perform a reset on swapping the SIM in order to re-authenticate the Motoblur account. If the messages are in the phone memory, will the reset actually over-write, or can they be retrieved with forensic software (I'm basically competent in use of forensic software).
Can u please tell me how to connect to the internet using xperia mini through data cable? I find no oprions for connecting to internet.

If I take out the battery and put it in it switches on but the screen goes blank in a few seconds and the phone shuts down. If i put the battery back in and plug it to a charger immediately it stays switched on till the charger is plugged in but shuts down within seconds of removing the charger, i have tried a second battery also but it gives the same message.

Even though I have successfully removed it (I don't have a fixed data plan), while writing SMS's the "To" field switches to "abc" mode, as opposed by the normal "123" mode. And no matter how much I press the arrow button to change it, the moment I close messages and open it again, it reverts back to "abc" mode.

The process of inserting the Data Cable is quite straight forward, the phone presents a menu of options "PC Suite..." which I promptly cancel. I then get a message "Charging", and about 15 seconds later I get a message about disconnecting the charger?
The battery/ phone are now in power save mode ie battery almost completely drained - right. So, why will it not charge through the data cable - it refuses. I have searched on the interweb, but seen to be the only one with this problem. The Nokia E72 manual mentions that charing is possible through the use of the Data Cable. I am directly connected to the computer (MacBook Pro 2009 Model). Mac OSX correctly detects the Nokia E72. Do I have to be in Windows XP?
